ethan sat with his head in his hands in his room. his mind couldn't stop thinking. memories of you and him swirled in his mind and clouded his vision. his throat felt like fire as he tried to choke back his tears.

a knock on his door made him snap his head to the door. grayson walked in with a smile and stopped midway through his sentence. "do you want pineapple pizz- woah, what's wrong?" his smile fell.

"nothing," ethan pretended to smile. "im fine."

"e, what's up? i know you're not fine. what is it? you can trust me with anything you know that, right?" grayson sat at his desk chair and ethan could feel the concern dripping off of his twin brother.

feeling the need to vent, ethan spoke. "it's y/n. she's breaking my heart without even knowing it. it's like, i see her and she looks so damn beautiful and i can't tell her. she's happy without me and it hurts. i feel like she's my oxygen and without her i can't breathe, gray. im drowning without her and she doesn't even seem to notice.

"im just so tired of feeling this way. im tired of being an outcast to her. i wanna be over her or just hold her and comfort her. but this pain," he shakes his head, "i can't take it anymore. i physically cannot breath due to all this pain. it's eating away at my life and it's too much. every time my eyes meet hers, it's like im falling in love all over again. i-i just don't know what to do anymore. there's just so much pain, you know? and there's no way i can make it stop," tears trickle down his cheeks as his brother brings him in for a warm embrace.

"i don't wanna be broken anymore."
