Eternity Part 2
A/N: Hey everyone! Hope you guys liked the last chapter. So what follows angst? Fluff, of course. And there wasn't much fluff in the last chapter. So, I hope this chapter makes up for it. On with the chapter!
11th August 2009....
Draco groaned as he turned in his sleep. His eyes opened just a little bit to see Hermione sleeping, her back towards him.
He sighed as he realised what had woken him up.
Her pointy elbows, what else?
Hermione always used to shift back towards him in her sleep, and it was fine with him. In fact, Draco even liked it, but the only problem with that was the fact that she would always hit him with her elbows, unintentionally of course.
And rather than mentioning this to Hermione, in case she decided to hex him or something, Draco decided to solve the problem himself.
After all, he was the Brightest Wizard of his Age, wasn't he?
So just like he had thought to do, the blond wizard shifted forwards until his bare chest was pressed to Hermione's back, and snaked one arm under her waist, and the other arm over, holding her hands in front of her so that she won't be able to hit him again.
Draco was a genius, wasn't he?
But even with that solution, Draco knew he won't be able to fall asleep again, as he looked at the time. And even if he did, it would take several minutes to do so.
So making himself comfortable, he held her tighter and let his mind wander off to his memories with his wife.
His wife.
Draco would always grin every time he thought about that, even if it had been five and a half years since since the brunette woman had made him the luckiest wizard alive and had taken his name.
What a sappy wizard he had become. Being wrapped around Hermione's finger and whipped for her. Those were Theo's exact words at Draco and Hermione's wedding.
Dropping a kiss on the sleeping witch's neck, Draco nuzzled her bird nest hair, and thought about their first date.
And the circumstances leading to it.
Flashback
Contrary to what everyone thought after the two had confessed their feelings to each other, they didn't go on their first official date until months later.
And the main reason behind that delay was Draco's stubbornness.
As he had still been living at Hermione's house after becoming her boyfriend, Draco had decided that their relationship would only start when he would be able to stand on his own.
And that meant moving out of her house first.
But it wasn't as easy as it looked. Draco's trial, which was scheduled to take place just after he left Azkaban, didn't actually take place until five months later, due to which, the ex Slytherin wizard couldn't shift to any of the Malfoy properties.
Even after his trial was done and dusted, Hermione and Draco didn't get the time to discuss their relationship.
When he had been packing his bags at her house, a few days after his trial, Hermione had frowned and refused to talk with him for a few hours when he informed her that he would be moving out the next day.
As it turned out, the ex Gryffindor witch had thought that Draco was getting tired of her, and didn't want to be with her anymore, because he had been acting weird for the past few days.
Laughing at her thought, Draco had pulled her down on the bed next to him, and told her that he was only moving out because he didn't want to rush their relationship.
They hadn't even been on their first date, and were already moving together.
Besides, he didn't want to be a burden to her.
When Hermione had immediately shaken her head at him, Draco had pulled her closer and told her that he was moving out for himself as well.
He needed to do something in his life.
He needed to find his purpose.
And he couldn't think he could do that while living here. Don't get him wrong, he loved living with her, but that meant that he would always have a place with her, even if he didn't do anything.
But Draco didn't want to be like that. And for him, when he would realise that in his own home, he would have to do everything by himself, that would be when he would grow as a person.
And he needed to improve himself.
Smiling in understanding, Hermione had kissed him lightly, whispering that she would always be just a floo away if he needed anything.
Finally, a few weeks after he had moved out and started managing the Malfoy Industries, Draco asked her out on a date.
As for how he had asked her out, well, Draco had placed a cup of coffee on her desk at the Ministry like he always did before going to his own office.
But this time, when Hermione had finished drinking her coffee, she saw something appear on the bottom of the cup.
The exact words were, 'I know you have been missing me for the past few weeks, bird nest hair beaver. So, what say? Go on a date me? -DM.'
The Brightest Witch of her Age had simply chuckled and used a spell to send that cup to Draco's office. And when the blond wizard took it in his hands, it screamed, "Yes!" in an annoying voice.
Like that of Umbridge.
Draco would have laughed at that, but the problem was he was in a meeting when that had happened.
Shaking his head when his colleagues had started laughing at that, he swore to get his revenge on his annoying girlfriend.
And he got his revenge, when a few days later, just as Hermione was leaving his office after having a lunch break, Draco had used his wand to make her face look like a beaver to everyone else except herself.
And what had amused him even more was that Rita Skeeter had managed to take a photo of Hermione in that look, and had published it in the Daily Prophet the next day, under the heading, 'MINISTRY WORKER GRANGER TURNED BEAVER.'
Needless to say, Draco got a scolding from his mother after that, and he would have received more, if Hermione had not stopped Narcissa from doing so.
"I regret making you two friends." Draco had muttered when he saw the two witches high fiving each other.
But even as he said this, Hermione and Narcissa knew that it was a lie.
And Draco did too, as he reluctantly admitted it earlier.
From then on, their relationship just progressed.
And even now, Draco was as much in love with Hermione as he was at day one, if not more. And Hermione found herself falling in love with the handsome blond wizard more and more day by day.
Flashback over
"Daddy!" A four years old Scorpius grinned as he jumped on top of the bed behind his father, and pulled Draco's shoulder until the wizard lay flat on his back.
"Go back to sleep, Scorp." Draco sleepily mumbled as tried to turn back, but his son was not having it.
Scorpius climbed on his stomach and patted his father's cheeks, all the while grinning widely.
It was something he did every day, and Draco was used to it. But this time when his son's hands touched his cheeks, Draco frowned.
He felt something wet and sticky on his face.
He opened his eyes and saw a similar pair of grey eyes staring back at him. Narrowing his eyes, Draco touched his cheek with his hand, and brought it up just to see a green coloured substance on his finger.
"What is that, Scorpius?" Draco said in a stern voice.
"Slime!" The young wizard grinning and wiped his hands on his father's chest. "Well that is what Mum said, anyways. But it is so cool, Daddy, isn't it?"
"What the hell, Scorpius?" Draco exclaimed as he quickly set up, using his sticky hands to get his son off him, and put him next to him.
"Language, Draco." Hermione sleepily muttered and flung her arm backwards, in an attempt to smack her husband's arm.
Rolling his eyes, Draco wiped his sticky hands on the witch's arms.
"What the hell, Draco?" Hermione exclaimed and scrunched her nose in annoyance as she looked at her arms.
"Language, Granger." He drawled.
"It is Malfoy to you, understand?" She shot back and then turned to her son with narrowed eyes. "What were you trying to do, Scorpius?"
"I couldn't sleep." Her son offered.
"What does that have to do with this disgusting thing you put on me?" Draco asked him. "What is it even called, huh? Sliky or something?"
"Slime, Daddy." Scorpius said while rolling his eyes.
"Hey, don't you dare roll your eyes at me, young man." His father crossed his arms in front of him, and then remembering that his chest was covered in slime, quickly uncrossed them.
"I thought you wanted to know what I was trying to do?" The young wizard raised his eyebrows at them.
"He is definitely your carbon copy." Hermione whispered to her husband.
"Oh like he hasn't inherited your snarky habit at all, right?" Draco retorted.
"Oh please." She smirked. "Narcissa has told me all about your behavior as a child. She told me all those stories, and even showed the baby photos."
"My father will hear about this." Draco muttered. "He needs to tell my mother not to do these things because she obviously won't listen to me."
"What makes you think that your mother will listen to Lucius as well?" His wife asked him.
Before he could reply, the ex Slytherin wizard noticed his son slowly trying to get up from the bed and leave the room. Shaking his head, he grabbed his son's hand and pulled him on his lap.
"So, since I woke up early and couldn't sleep, I thought of waking you up as well. But then on the way to your room, I remembered how me and Mum had made slime yesterday, but I didn't get to play with it much. So I did that and then Lyra started crying and then I went to her room and then came here." Scorpius answered after Draco asked him to explain his actions.
"Lyra was crying and you are telling us this now?" Draco groaned. "Why can't you be obedient for once, Scorpius?"
"But wait, if Lyra was crying then our wands would have vibrated, which they didn't." Hermione frowned as she thought about her five months old daughter.
"That is because I made her laugh and she stopped crying." Scorpius smiled at his parents. "I think she loves the slime too. She was laughing when I touched her cheek with it."
"Now that's my son." Draco ruffled his blond hair and pulled him closer towards his body. "But you still shouldn't have put slime on me. Anyways, go and clean yourself now, and you can have pancakes for breakfast."
"I love you both!" Scorpius kissed their cheeks and immediately left the room.
Sighing in relief, Draco laid back on the bed, and pulled Hermione down on top of him just as she was about to get up. "And where do you think you are going, Mrs Malfoy?"
"I need to take a shower, Draco." Hermione laughed as he started tickling her sides. "S-stop! Or I will ask Narcissa to pull your ears."
"You don't have to threaten me with every time." He groaned and buried his face in the crook of her neck. "I just want to spend some time with the love of my life, and then you go threatening me like that. I don't even know why my mother likes you anyways, you are such a nuisance."
"Done with your dramatics?" Hermione sweetly smiled at him. "Great. I need to go now. And you, Mr Malfoy-" Her eyes widened as she suddenly realised something. "Did Scorp just say that he had touched Lyra's cheeks with slime?"
Draco sighed in frustration and got up. "I will deal with Scorpius, you go and bath Lyra."
But before he could leave, she grabbed his arm and pulled his face down to place a quick kiss on his lips. "I don't think so, love. I know that instead of scolding Scorpius, you will just plan more mischiefs with him. So you go and give a bath to Lyra, and I will deal with Scorpius. Understood?"
The blond wizard rolled his eyes and held up his hands in surrender. "Fine. But don't think that he will listen to you. You remember that he has James Sirius Potter as his best friend, right? They are already planning something else, I am telling you."
Hermione sighed and left the room to find her son.
Narcissa wasn't kidding when she said that Draco was the most mischievous kid ever.
And it seemed as if her son had taken after his father in that sense, the only difference was this Scorpius' best friend was a Potter, unlike his father, who only used to hang around the Slytherins.
Well Scorpius was really Draco's carbon copy, and not just in appearance, as the ex Slytherin Prince was sure that his son would be a perfect Slytherin.
------------
"And there is my most favorite person in the world." Ginny grinned as she stood on the door and opened her arms to greet her friend.
"Aww Ginny, you are my best friend-" Hermione started but stopped when she realised that the red headed witch was not looking at her.
"Nice to know that fact, Potterette." Draco smirked as he hugged the said witch in a brotherly way.
"You know, I will just excuse your habit of saying those weird names today." Ginny warned him. "But only today, because you are a very good person-"
"Flattery will get you everywhere." The blond wizard rolled his eyes. "But I don't think your husband likes you saying that I am your most favorite person in this world."
"That's his problem." Ginny shrugged. "He can deal with it."
"Are you freaking kidding me, Gin?" Harry frowned as he came and stood next to his wife. "You choose Malfoy over me? Seriously? You do know what a git he is, right?"
"Says the biggest prat in this world." Draco scowled at Harry and then pushed a bag towards Ginny. "There you go, Potterette. And happy birthday to you as well."
Ginny smiled and took out a bottle from the bag. "Ah the famous Malfoy French wine. I still remember how it tasted even if it has been a year since I had it. Thank you so much, Draco. This is why you are my most favorite person in the world."
Then, she turned to her husband, and said, "Harry, I love you, but I love this French wine too. Honestly, the perks of having a Malfoy as a friend. Well now we are friends with the whole Malfoy family, but anyways. Tell you what, Draco, you can have the biggest piece of cake, it is chocolate flavored after all."
Harry grumbled and walked away from there as Draco continued smirking. The Boy who Lived couldn't believe it. Why would anyone willingly like a Malfoy? Because he thought that Hermione was crazy for falling for Draco.
"Don't worry, you are my most favorite person in the world." Draco whispered to Hermione as he kissed her cheek.
"Daddy." Scorpius frowned and crossed his arms in front of him.
"Fine fine." Draco said with a roll of his eyes and bent down to pick his son up in his arms. "You and Lyra are my favorite people as well. Now come on, your best friend is surely missing you."
At the mention of James, who was just a few months older than him, Scorpius immediately demanded his father to enter the house.
Hermione snickered as she entered the house behind the two, carrying a sleepy Lyra in her arms. Scorpius and James were like the Weasley twins, totally inseparable.
-----------
"Who are we even waiting for?" Draco complained as Ginny smacked his hand when he was trying to get a piece of the cake. "Just cut the cake already, Potterette. I am so hungry."
"Why, they were waiting for me to arrive, my stupid dragon." Someone said as the door of the Potters' house opened and they heard footsteps.
Clearly recognising the voice, Draco sighed. "How many times do I have to tell my mother not to call me that stupid name?"
"If anything or anyone is stupid here, then it is you, Draco." Blaise said as he entered behind his best friend's parents with his wife, Pansy.
"If you don't want to get hexed, then you will shut your mouth." Draco snarled at him as he greeted his parents. "Are we done now? Great, cut the cake-"
"Okay now wait a second." Came someone's yell and a second later, Theo entered the room with Luna, his wife. "We lost time while searching for those things-"
"I think you mean nargles, Theo." Luna interrupted him. "Oh we should have brought those carrot earrings for the witches and chains for the wizards, because I can see the nargles roaming around here. They are specially around you, Draco."
"Sod off, Looney- I mean, Luna." Draco corrected himself when Hermione jabbed his side with her finger. He couldn't even call her Lovegood now, as she had married Theo.
Salazar knows why she did so.
Though perhaps considering Theo was as crazy as Luna, they made a great pair.
"Watch your mouth, Draco." Theo glared at him. "Do not insult my wife, you understand what I am saying?"
"Yeah well then tell your wife not to insult me, Nott." The blond wizard rolled his eyes.
"You know what?" Theo raised his eyebrows at him. "I think you have too much nargle infestation. Here, take my carrot chain, they will keep the nargles away from you, and perhaps give you some manners."
Before Draco could reply, Luna shook her head at her husband. "That chain is meant for you, Theo. Remember I gave it to you on our first date? You had too much nargle infestation then. You even fell down from your broom into the Black Lake at Hogwarts while trying to impress me."
Everybody laughed at that as Theo's cheeks turned pink. "Guess you should take those lessons from me, Theo." Draco suggested. "I am the best Quidditch player after all."
"Now now, Draco, we all know how bad you are, you don't have to lie for us to say the truth." Harry smirked at his ex enemy. "And on the other hand, there is me-"
"Who fell down from his broom more times than anybody can count." Draco interjected. "Besides, how can we all forget when I beat you in the match by catching the snitch from right under your nose."
"Oh and what about when I caught the snitch-" Harry started but the ex Slytherin wizard cut him off.
"That was Granger's fault." Draco pointed at his wife. "She used to purposefully distract me so that I won't notice the snitch-"
"Oh did you have a crush on me ever since you joined your House team, huh Draco?" Hermione teased him.
"Shut up, Granger, it was you who found me so irresistible that you would try to get my attention by picking up fights with me-"
"How come we never told Hermione that Draco had loved her since the moment he saw her in our first year, Theo?" Blaise asked his friend.
"I know right, Blaise?" Theo shook his head. "And we didn't even tell how Draco ranted for hours after Hermione had punched him, but in the end, he was like, it is okay because at least Hermione touched my face, even if she broke my nose. Oh she definitely has a crush on me, you know Blaise and Theo, and-"
"Oh you all should see the letters Draco wrote to Hermione but never sent them to her." Narcissa said. "I still have them with me in the Manor."
"Besides, the amount of hours Draco used to rant about Hermione for." Lucius sighed. "What I said in the bookshop was true, he had told me all about Hermione. Oh her hair is like a bird nest, Father. Do you think we should give her the Sleakeazy's? Just to mock her, of course. And her face, Father-"
"If you all are done insulting me," Draco started, "I should say that none of what you are saying is true. I didn't love Hermione since the moment I saw her. I used to hate her, remember?"
"Yeah because you tell everything about the person you hate to your best friends and parents." Blaise muttered. "Tell your weak excuses to someone else, Draco. We even have the Veritaserum here, you know? And-"
"SHUT UP!" Ginny yelled and pointed her wand at Draco, Harry, Blaise and Theo, and cast the silencing charm on them. "There. Now I can finally cut the cake in silence."
As Lucius laughed at that, Narcissa turned to him and whispered, "Do you want me to use Silencio on you as well, Lucius? Because I have my wand right here."
Lucius gulped at that.
Ginny chose that moment to cut the cake, and as promised, gave Draco the biggest piece of it, all the while smiling widely.
But that smile turned into an expression of annoyance when Draco smeared the cake on her face and hair, and asked Harry, Theo and Blaise to do the same.
Draco ran away from the hall when instead of just his friends, everyone had smeared cake on Ginny's face, and the red headed witch decided to Bat Bogey hex the blond wizard.
Thankfully, Hermione took the wand from Ginny, and Draco smiled at that.
But he scowled when his wife promised Ginny that she would hex Draco later.
Well anyways, Draco thought, he would be able to make Hermione forget about the hex later. And probably hide her wand as well during the party just to be sure.
After pieces of cake had been given to everyone, the group sat down on the couches and armchairs in the living room.
"Where are Alexander and Aria, Blaise?" Draco asked about his godchildren to his best friend as the Italian wizard sat down across him.
"Oh the twins actually ran to the room the other children are in as soon as we arrived." Blaise informed him.
"Same with Lucas." Theo chimed in, referring to his and Luna's son. "He couldn't wait to meet Scorpius. I think he said they were talking about some Slytherin members."
Hermione and Draco's parents, and the Weasleys except Ron, who was in Australia for a mission, went upstairs to talk about something and also play with the children.
Ginny soon brought drinks for everyone but Luna as she was four months pregnant. When Ginny offered Firewhiskey to Theo, he refused because if his wife couldn't drink, then he wouldn't do so as well.
"So who wants to play Truth and Dare?" Harry asked as he moved the center table and put an empty bottle on the ground.
"Not this again, Potter." Draco groaned. "Didn't we play it for more than enough times during our eighth year? What is the need to do it again?"
"Worried your secrets will be revealed, Draco?" Harry smirked at him.
"As if all my secrets haven't already been told to you all by my so called best friends." Draco glared at Blaise and Theo. "Traitors."
"We don't apologise, ferret." His best friends said in unison and simply shrugged.
Harry shook his head and spun the bottle, which landed on Blaise. "So Zabini, truth or dare?"
"Truth." He answered.
"Chicken." Draco laughed at him.
"Oh like you are a very Gryffindor person, aren't you Draco?" Blaise glared at his best friend.
"Never compare me to those idiotic Gryffindorks." Draco narrowed his eyes at him and dodged Hermione's attempts to smack his arm. "I am a proud Slytherin. And I was the Slytherin Prince, remember?"
"Okay fine," Harry interjected, "So drink this truth potion and tell us who was your first crush, Blaise?"
Blaise did as he was asked and then mumbled something.
"Sorry?" Harry pulled his ear forwards. "I didn't hear that."
"Red." Blaise muttered. "She was my first crush."
Harry almost choked on the firewhiskey he was drinking.
Ginny, on the other hand, just smiled sheepishly.
"What the hell?" The Boy who Lived yelled at him. "You have a crush on my wife? What the hell is wrong with you, Zabini?"
"Oh sod off, Potter." Blaise rolled his eyes. "I don't have a crush on your wife-"
"But you just said that your first crush was Red, and I know you all refer to Ginny as Red-"
"What is with you Gryffindors always interrupting people?" Blaise frowned.
"Now you understand how I feel every day." Draco smiled sweetly when Hermione narrowed her eyes at him.
"So, as I was saying," Blaise cleared his throat, "I had a crush on Red way before she became your girlfriend. We didn't have an actual interaction per se, but when Draco used to drag me to the library because he wanted to watch Hermione like a sappy idiot-"
Draco immediately used Silencio on Blaise.
"The question was who was your first crush, Zabini," The blond wizard said, "And not as to how you developed a crush on her. Besides, I never did what you are implying, stalking my wife like an idiot."
"Oh a secret admirer, then?" Luna smiled dreamily. "That is so adorable."
"Malfoys are not adorable." Draco stated. "Well the Malfoy men are not, we are handsome and very talented-"
"And also very egotistical." Harry offered and then turned to his wife. "You didn't look shock when Zabini said he had a crush on you. Did you know that?"
"Very observant, Potter." Draco commented. "No wonder everyone calls you oblivious."
"That crush fact was revealed back in your eighth year, Harry." Ginny answered, ignoring what Draco said. Because she knew it was true. "You hadn't participated in it, because you refused to be friends with the Slytherins."
"Thank Salazar for house unity." Pansy sighed. "And for McGonagall to make Hermione and our dear Draco the Heads as they finally confessed their feelings and we all became friends."
Everyone else murmured their agreements as Harry spun the bottle once again and it landed on Draco.
---------
A few hours later, Draco excused himself from the game, claiming that Harry had definitely charmed the bottle as it kept landing on him again and again.
He was done sharing his secrets.
And doing embarrassing stuff.
So before he could tell any other embarrassing stories or do idiotic dares, Draco left the living room and climbed up the stairs.
Though he had originally planned to see what the children were doing, and what the elders were talking about, Draco changed his ideas and instead opened the door next to Harry and Ginny's bedroom.
His cousin Teddy's room.
"Hey buddy." Draco smiled at his cousin as he entered the room and found Teddy sitting on his bed surrounded with all the books. "I am not disturbing you, am I? I can go if you want."
"Of course not, Dray." Teddy grinned at him as he called him by that nickname, something he always did when Draco called him buddy. "I was just looking through the books I will have to use at Hogwarts. I can't believe I will go that castle in less than a month."
"I know right?" The blond wizard sat down next to him. "It feels like just a second ago you were a small child, who turned his hair blond and eyes grey every time I met him. And now see?"
"I can still do that if you want." Teddy turned his hair blond and eyes similar to Draco's. "See, we look like cousins now-"
"We are cousins, my dear idiot." Draco smirked at him.
"I don't know how Hermione deals with you." He sighed and closed his books. "Or your parents, best friends and friends for that matter."
"Hey!" The ex Slytherin wizard protested. "You are the only one I have on my side besides my children. So don't you go and become a traitor now, understood?"
"How can I when you ask so sweetly?" Teddy laughed and slid closer to him. "Can I ask you something, Dray? What did it feel like when you first went to Hogwarts?"
"Honest answer?" When his cousin nodded, Draco continued, "I was pretty terrified for sure. I was leaving home for the first time, and even though my childhood wasn't a great one, I was still leaving behind the place I grew up at, even if it was for a few months. I almost asked my parents to take me back, but then I saw people looking at me and I composed myself, because I wasn't allowed to express my emotions. Besides, my father had told me that I would be treated like a king at Hogwarts, so that's why I acted coldly and all that. But inside, I was feeling so scared. I think the only thing that kept me going was the letters I received from my parents, and after a while, I guess I became accustomed to it. Hogwarts became my new home, you know?"
What he left unsaid was that it became a place of his nightmare when he had been forced to become a Death Eater, but Teddy understood it perfectly.
He knew each and everything about Draco's past, but he never blamed him for anything, not even for his role in the war.
He loved Draco so much.
And he would be the person Teddy would miss the most when he would go to Hogwarts, but don't tell Harry that, he wouldn't like it.
"So how do you think I should deal with it?" The eleven years old wizard asked him.
"I don't think there is a specific way to deal with it." Draco said thoughtfully. "We all are different so we all deal with it differently, but if you want, I will send you a letter every week to help you."
"Will you send it every day? Please, Dray?" Teddy asked, his eyes glistening with unshed tears.
"You don't even have to ask." Draco said, his voice thick with emotions he didn't need to say out aloud for his cousin to understand them.
"I will miss you so much, Dray." Teddy wrapped his arms around him and pressed his face into his chest.
"I will miss you too, buddy." Draco wrapped an arm around his shoulders and patted his head with the other one. "Even if you get sorted into Hufflepuff, I will still write to you."
"You know I want to be in that house, Dray." Teddy chuckled through his tears. "I won't be a Slytherin like you."
"We will see, my dear baby cousin." Draco smirked at him. "I can always charm the hat to put you in Slytherin. I have many talents, you know?"
------------
"You don't have to hide your tears from me, you know?" Hermione said as she entered her bedroom and found her husband wiping his face while staring at a picture.
"I don't know what you are talking about." Draco stubbornly said.
"I know you will miss Teddy more than you will let anyone else know." The ex Gryffindor witch said and climbed the bed behind Draco, who was sitting at the edge of it, and wrapped her arms around his bare torso.
"I just connect with him so much, you know?" The blond wizard whispered. "I don't even have to try. He is so easy to talk with, and he doesn't even judge me or hate me, though he should." Draco placed his hand on the picture of him and Teddy at the latter's birthday, both of them sporting same colour of hair and eyes.
"You know Teddy wouldn't like you saying that." Hermione rested her head on his shoulder. "He adores you so much. You are the first person he comes to when he is in need of an advice. You are his role model, Draco, and his best friend too, according to him."
"I love him so much as well." Draco put the picture again, and pulled Hermione forwards into his lap and wrapped his arms around her. "And I can't believe we have such a great bond. I never got to meet Sirius, or Tonks, and that was one of the reasons why I was so jealous of Potter, he literally got to meet them when I was their family member and not him. But I am grateful that Mother reconnected with Andromeda after the war, which gave me the chance to be a part of their family."
"I think Tonks would be very proud of you, wherever she is." Hermione caressed his cheek. "You have grown so much from that cocky git I had met at Hogwarts-"
"Do you have to hurt my feelings like that every time?" Draco said in mock hurt. "I don't know why I still love you, Granger, or married you for that matter. Though I guess my mother forced me to propose to you."
"Oh please." Hermione rolled her eyes. "I know what Blaise said, about you stalking me. And then there are the letters you wrote-"
"And you used the Marauders' Map for stalking me like Potter did." Draco stood up, carried her in his arms and then gently laid her on the bed. "Good to know I had such amazing fans. Want an autograph or something?"
"More like you want a selfie with me, Draco." Hermione pulled Draco down and kissed his cheek.
"Another one of your muggle weird things?" Draco sighed. "Well I will deal with it but only because I love you so much, my amazing wife."
And as Hermione whispered that she loved him, Draco couldn't help but think how lucky he was.
And he definitely wouldn't let her go.
She was his future, his best friend, his life, his everything.
She was his eternity.
A/N: That's it for this chapter. It was 5500+ words. Hope you guys liked it. I have always loved stories which show Teddy and Draco's relationship, and I think that Draco would have been his godfather, if he hadn't been forced to be a Death Eater, that is. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this short story. This chapter wasn't that good, but I liked a few scenes. Random question: Favorite Hufflepuff? Answer in the comments below.
