Chapter 38 | Covering the Famous Host Club!

~Arabella's POV~

"STOP EVERYTHING--Boyfriend...? Did you just say boyfriend?! Oh no, my little girl's innocence is forever ruined!!! You're dating the devil, Arabella--well, one of them at least!!! Do you get that?!" Tamaki shouted at me the next day. We were in Music Room 3 and club hours were about to begin.

I rolled my eyes. "Senpai--"

"Your innocence...! FOREVER GONE...!!!" Tamaki wailed.

Haruhi nudged him disapprovingly. "Senpai, quit it. I'm actually happy for them. And you should be too!" she scolded him.

"Happy," Tamaki repeated. "I'll be happy once that shady twin promises me that he'll keep his dirty, perverted hands off my little girl!"

Hikaru leaned over towards Tamaki. "Kaoru makes no promise~!" he whispered.

I rolled my eyes. Kaoru glared at his brother.

Tamaki froze and began twitching.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Uh, why are we hosting out in the school gardens again?" Haruhi asked.
"Because! It's good to change locations and spice things up once in awhile!" Tamaki said.
"He's correct--it's better for business. Besides, we don't want our customers getting bored with the same, old setting. We'll change back, of course, but for now, this change is somewhat required." Kyoya said.
"This is great!" Kaoru said, looking at me. "Our first club hours together as a couple!"
"Well, actually--"
"Ara-chan! When are you and Kao-chan going to reveal to everyone that you're officially a couple?" Honey interrupted me.
"That's what I was about to tell you--I don't think we should come out with it right away... I think it's best that we give it some time before just springing it up on everyone...! Is that alright?" I said.
Kaoru nodded and smiled. "Yeah, that's fine. We don't have to tell right away." he said.
"Club hours start now." Kyoya said.
When he said that, I noticed our customers were just starting to arrive.
We all made sure we had our cos-play costumes on, and we got into position.
We all greeted them. "Welcome!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

~Third Person POV~

"Oh, Tamaki, we mustn't...! The many other girls who long for you will resent us!" one of Tamaki's customers said.

Tamaki held her closer. "My princess, these hydrangeas will keep us hidden for the time being. For this moment, at least, I am yours alone. Yes, for this moment, as the spirits of the hydrangeas stand by us." he said poetically.

"Oh, Tamaki...! I yearn to be with you...!" Tamaki's customer swooned.

Across the garden, Hikaru and Kaoru sat with two of their customers.

"Oh...! I lose again...?" Kaoru said.

Their customers giggled.

"Go easy on him, princesses. Kaoru can be quite the crybaby." Hikaru said.

Kaoru didn't say anything, he just stared straight ahead at something in the distance.

Hikaru just sat there for a couple of seconds before he nudged his brother. "Uh... Kaoru...? I said, Kaoru can be quite the crybaby...!" he said.

Kaoru still didn't react.

Hikaru looked to where Kaoru was looking and saw he was watching Arabella host.

Hikaru rolled his eyes and nudged Kaoru once more. "Um, hello...? Kaoru!" he whisper shouted.

Kaoru finally looked away from Arabella and faced Hikaru. "Hm...?" he asked.

Their customers giggled again.

Hikaru shot Kaoru a glare. "I said, Kaoru can be quite the CRYBABY!"

Kaoru realized. "O-Oh...! Uh, Hikaru! Who are you callin' a crybaby?!" he said.

"You cry all the time, really. But, the punishment games are fun..." Hikaru said with a wink.

Their customers squealed.

"My, I don't remember this having a beautiful little stream...!" one of Kyoya's customers said as they watched the stream flow.

"It's called the yarimizu channel. It's said that during the Heian era, people would get a sense of the four seasons from the flower petals and autumn leaves that drifted along these waters. I had this made, out of my desire to spend the four seasons with you, my princesses," Kyoya said before he held up a black book with grey and white flowers on the cover. "On that subject, what do you say? In the fall, we're having an autumn leaves tea party for a limited number of people."

"We'll make reservations!" Kyoya's customers immediately said.

"It's so peaceful out here... The weather's nice too." Arabella said to Haruhi. The both of them were on a short break.

"I guess that's what acclimation will do for you." Haruhi said.

Suddenly, Tamaki popped up out from nowhere. "Haruhi, Arabella, duck!!!" he shouted.

A ball rolled past them.

Tamaki glared. "Hikaru! You came this close to KILLING Haruhi and Arabella!!!" he shouted.

"I thought... this was supposed to be... peaceful..." Haruhi mumbled. She and Arabella were crumpled on the ground from Tamaki's impact.

"It's actually your fault, Tono, for not catching the ball!" Hikaru told Tamaki.

"You can't even play a game of kemari very well at all, can you?" Kaoru said innocently.

Tamaki growled at them. "Well then, try catching THIS," he said before he positioned the ball. "Starlight kick!!!" He kicked the ball with so much force, it went soaring past the twins and towards Ouran instead.

"So long...!" Hikaru and Kaoru called after it.

They didn't hear the ball break through a window and hit a person in the back of the head.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I'm terribly sorry about this!" Tamaki apologized to the president of the Newspaper Club, Akira Komatsuzawa.
"No, no! It's quite alright! It was just a mari ball breaking through the window and hitting me right on the head." Akira said.
Tamaki bowed. "I-I'm so sorry...!" he said again.
"Actually, this works out pretty well," Akira said as one of the members of the Newspaper Club, Chikage Ukyo, held an ice pack to his head as he talked. "I was just about to ask the Host Club to let us do a story on you."
"You mean, there's a Newspaper Club at this school...?" Haruhi asked.
"I certainly never heard of one." Arabella said.
The only other member of the Newspaper Club, Tomochika Sakyo, stared straight ahead and mumbled, "We're kind of the only members..."
"Well, there's this, anyhow!" Hikaru said as he and Kaoru held up two newspapers.
"We call it Ou-spo." Kaoru said.
"It covers the school's love affairs, class divisions caused by family power struggles, and so on." Hikaru said.
"It's a gossip paper, specialized in stirring up scandals." Kaoru said.
"It's all made up, and no one reads it anymore." they said together.
"It's true, we've lost sight of the truth as we've focused on getting attention. However, with us this close to getting shut down, our eyes have finally been opened. We have realized what it is that we should be covering and reporting on," Akira said. "Please! We beg of you, let us do a piece on you to reveal the truth behind your charm in an up-close, special edition cover of the Host Club! Please help us...!"
Tamaki smiled. "Leave it to me! I would be more than happy to accept--"
"I'm sorry, but we must decline." Kyoya interrupted.
"Kyoya! He got hurt because of me!" Tamaki objected.
Kyoya went on as if he hadn't spoken. "Unfortunately, we limit any information about us to our guests. We will gladly agree to pay any costs related to treating your injury." he said.
"Yeah, I don't think there's any benefit in helping you out after so much of the nonsense you've written." Hikaru said.
"Not only that, we're just not fond of people that make trouble for others and tell lies about them." Kaoru said.
"Is that so? I guess you really can't erase the sins of the past, huh? You can't get people to offer you a chance to redeem yourself... But... But the pain in my head is so severe...!" Akira said.
"President!" Tomochika and Chikage cried.
"Thank you for your concern, Tomochika and Chikage... B-But... I'm so lightheaded...!" Akira said.
"President!"
"I-I'll be fine--ugh! It hurts...!" Akira said.
"President!!!"
"Alas, all we can do now is disband with grace...!" Akira said sadly.
"That is not so!" Tamaki said.
The three of them looked at him. "Huh?"
"Anyone can have a fresh start and redeem themselves! Very well, we will rally the strength of the Host Club and will work all-out to re-establish the Newspaper Club!" Tamaki said.
"Not us." Hikaru and Kaoru said together.
"We'll never be able to go along with how trusting you are, sir." Hikaru said.
"Besides, it's too much trouble." Kaoru said.
"We're leaving, Tamaki," Kyoya said as the rest of them began to walk out. "We're holding an evaluation meeting in Music Room 3, mostly about you."
"Hold it!" Tamaki shouted.
They all stopped walking.
"Have none of you any humanity??? Can you really look down on them, being forced to shut down their club, and have zero pity for them??? Their family is breaking up!!!" Tamaki said.
That caused Arabella to freeze.
"Their family is breaking up!!!"
Arabella's eyes widened. Just like my family... she thought to herself.
Then she walked over and stood by Tamaki. "I say we help them." she said.
Tamaki smiled. "That's my little girl!" he said happily. Then, he turned to the rest of the Host Club. "This is an order from your club president! I will NOT allow the rest of you to refuse!"
They just stood there for a second before they all said together, "We refuse!"
Tamaki's eyes widened as he gasped.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"He's clearly mad at us." Hikaru said as they watched Tamaki sitting in a corner.

"He didn't even change out of his cos-play outfit!" Kaoru said.

"He's acting like a child, being right near us, yet not looking us in the eye." Kyoya said.

"Tama-chan gets upset easily after all..." Honey said.

"Clubs are like families... So a club shutting down is like a family breaking up... Those poor guys..." Tamaki sulked.

"I have to agree. I mean, would it be so awful just to help out the Newspaper Club?" Arabella said.

"I kind of have to agree as well; would it really be that bad?" Haruhi said.

Hikaru's eyes widened. "How uncommon--you're both taking Tono's side." he said.

"That's not what I'm doing. I'm just confident that he'll look over here with those sad, puppy-dog eyes and we won't be able to say no to that," Haruhi said. "Besides, Hikaru, isn't this the type of thing you guys usually go for?"

"Not this time. It'll be nothing but trouble." Hikaru and Kaoru said.

Arabella glared at them. Then, she turned to the table where Honey and Mori were eating cake.

"Honey, Mori, what about you guys?" Arabella asked them.

"Well, I have to eat all this cake, ya' know?" Honey said.

"Mm hm." Mori agreed.

Arabella rolled her eyes.

Suddenly, Haruhi pointed to where Tamaki was. "Those are the eyes." she said.

They all turned to look at Tamaki, who was giving them the puppy-dog eyes.

"Puppy-dog eyes..." Hikaru and Kaoru said.

Tamaki kept staring at them intensely with his puppy-dog eyes.

Kyoya stood there for about five seconds before he caved and said, "There will be some conditions."

Tamaki immediately smiled. "Woof!" he said happily.

"All the outlines for the special feature articles will be submitted by us. Interviews will be cardinally prohibited. Views of us entertaining our customers will be intrusive to them, so that's out as well." Kyoya said.

"Woof, woof!" Tamaki said.

"Is that okay for everyone?" Kyoya asked.

Hikaru sighed. "Well, if you say so, Kyoya..."

"... then it's okay." Kaoru finished.

"Yeah, if you say so, Kyo-chan! Right, Takashi?" Honey said.

"Yeah." Mori said.

Well, there you have it--the Shadow King at work... Arabella thought.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Why, of course! If you will allow us to cover you, we will observe your conditions." Akira said as he and Kyoya discussed it.
"Well then, you may start tomorrow," Kyoya said. "How is that bump on your head doing?"
"Oh, this little thing? It's no big deal. It's because of this bump that we have come together, so I am grateful for it." Akira said.
"Well, as said before, we are truely sorry about it," Kyoya said before he took out a box that said First Aid Kit. "Here. Take this as an apology from me. This is a first aid treatment set made by my family's company."
"Thank you so much." Akira said before he took the box.
"You're quite welcome. Well, if you'll excuse me..." Kyoya said before he started to leave.
"Ah, Ootori-kun! You come from the family of the Ootori Group, the ones that make medical equipment, correct?" Akira said.
Kyoya stopped. "Our main occupation is in hospital administration."
"I am so glad that we have come together. My father is the president of Komatsuzawa Publishing." Akira said.
"Yes, I am aware of that," Kyoya said. "Are you serving as the president of the Newspaper Club to prepare yourself for when you will take over for him in the future?"
"Yes, well, I have this younger brother, you see. He's quite a bright lad too. Father plans to turn all management of the publishing firm over to my brother. Passing over me, the older brother," Akira said, quite irritated. "However, if I am able to serve out my third year at Ouran Academy as president of the Newspaper Club, he may reconsider and make me a candidate to succeed him in the future," He eyed Kyoya. "Do you understand? I cannot allow this club to disband, no matter what."
Kyoya stood there for a second before he said, "Excuse me." and left.
After he was gone, Chikage said, "President, were you trying to carry favor with Kyoya Ootori?"
"Yes. My only foe is Tamaki Suoh. I was going to use the power of the school newspaper to become a popular figure on campus. But then... Tamaki Suoh butted in with that ridiculous Host Club of his and garnered all that popularity in the blink of an eye..." Akira said.
"Even before Suoh enrolled at this school..." Chikage started.
"...we had heard the president's newspaper was already unpopular." Tomochika finished.
"Quiet!" Akira said.
Chikage and Tomochika froze and silenced themselves.
"If I ask mother, I can have all dealings between our publishing firm and your houses cut off," Akira said. "I swear, I will expose their special standing, not being affiliated with neither the sports club or the cultural clubs, and not even having an advisor over them! Club activities where false affections are peddled? The extent of their audacity could only be attributed to Suoh flaunting his power! I'm sure he uses his parents' authority to make his companions follow him, and do whatever he likes with the girls. Starting with Kyoya Ootori, the Host Club should be members under me! I'm afraid that Tamaki Suoh is quite shrewd. Ordinarily, he acts like such an affable character, but most definitely has a dark side! I'm going to make sure I come up with some scandal and teach him a lesson!" He slammed Kyoya's first aid kit shut.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"The Daruma doll fell over! The Daruma doll fell over! The Daruma doll fell over!"

Tamaki stood against a tree, suddenly looking behind him ever so often, hoping to see one of them move.

But whenever he looked, the Host Club members all immediately stopped moving and froze.

The Newspaper Club watched them, unimpressed.

"The Daruma doll fell over! The Daruma doll fell over! The Daruma doll fell OVER!" Tamaki shouted. Then, he pointed at Hikaru and Kaoru. "Hikaru! Kaoru! I saw you move!"

"President, what on earth are we watching here?" Tomochika asked Akira as they watched the Host Club.

"Could be some new religion...?" Chikage said.

"There's no reason I should know, is there?" Akira grumbled.

Tamaki suddenly appeared. "I can't imagine why you wouldn't be surprised! This game has been passed down through antiquity by commoners! There are many other games commoners play where you can have fun all by yourself, without spending money!" he said.

"And what does this have to do with our coverage?" Akira asked.

"Accessibility!" Tamaki shouted.

The Newspaper Club jumped back.

"In order to wipe out the negative image the Newspaper Club has, and claim your readership once again, accessibility is indispensable! This is indeed according to my plan. Showing the Host Club enjoying commoners' games coupled with the fresh outdoors, will be the perfect thing to give your front page a facelift. Plus, this dream-like plan also lets you show some of the commoners, who are thrilled to return to their childhood!" Tamaki said. Then, he looked at Haruhi and Arabella.

"Wow. He's looking at us." Haruhi said.

"I wonder if we should be thrilled now...?" Arabella said.

"President, I simply cannot understand what this means." Chikage said.

"Are we sure this guy isn't actually just an idiot?" Tomochika asked.

"Do not let your guard down. This is part of his strategy," Akira said. Then, he eyed Haruhi and Arabella. "Are those 'some of the commoners'?"

"I hope this ends soon..." Haruhi said.

"Yeah, I'm getting kinda tired..." Arabella said.

"Fujioka, was it? And Hashimoto?"

Haruhi and Arabella turned to see Akira with Chikage and Tomochika behind him, holding cameras.

Akira was holding a notepad. "Might I have a word with you two?" he asked.

Haruhi and Arabella looked at each other before they nodded. "Sure."

"Okay. Why did you both join this club?" Akira said.

"Oh, well, it was over me being a little careless..." Haruhi said.

"And me as well." Arabella said.

"You both are honor students, right?" Akira asked.

"Yes." Haruhi and Arabella said together.

"So, in other words, you're both token members of this club, here in order to allow the Suoh family to flaunt their power." Akira said.

Arabella blinked. Haruhi have Akira a confused look. "Huh?"

"Could I ask you to tell me about Suoh's dark side?" Akira asked. "Perhaps I will be able to help you both out of here, as well."

Arabella just chuckled. "Ha! Tamaki-senpai doesn't have a dark side...!"

"Yeah, he has no dark side. Zero darkness." Haruhi said.

"What? So you're telling me those high school kids, Suoh's companions, actually enjoy playing these games?" Akira gaped.

"Is that strange?" Haruhi asked.

"It's not possible!" Akira said.

Hikaru and Kaoru suddenly cut in between them. "Chop!" they shouted. Then, they both grabbed Haruhi and Arabella by the shoulders and carried them away, running along with Honey and Mori.

"Hey! That's not where you're supposed to cut, ya' know!" Tamaki called after them, Kyoya at his side.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Next, we're playing Kick the Can!" Tamaki said after he had put a soda can on the ground.
"Kyoya, you're it, okay?" Tamaki pointed at Kyoya.
"Yeah." Kyoya replied.
"Alright then," Tamaki said before he approached the can. "Starlight kick!" He kicked the can swiftly.
It went flying past the Newspaper Club's heads.
Akira just smirked. "If you really think I'm going to fall for the same trick again, then you've got another thing com--"
He was cut off by the can hitting him over the head. He fell to the ground.
"President!" Chikage and Tomochika shouted.
Tamaki grabbed Haruhi's hand. "Hurry, Haruhi! This way! Run!"
Then he pulled Haruhi along as they ran.
I'm sure he doesn't have a dark side. But come to think of it, I don't really know anything about Tamaki-senpai's family, do I? Haruhi thought to herself as she was being dragged along.
Across the yard, Hikaru approached Kaoru.
"Kaoru, come hide with me!" Hikaru said.
Kaoru took Arabella's hand. "Sorry. Can't. I'm hiding with my girlfriend," he said before he ran and pulled Arabella along with him. "I promise I'll hide with you next time, Hikaru!"
Hikaru groaned and slumped his shoulders. "No fair...," he grumbled. "Kaobella's hiding without me..."
Kaoru ran with Arabella until he found a hiding place he liked and pulled her behind it--a very large bush that was surrounded by trees.
"Wow, Kaoru. Great spot. Really good for hiding in. Nice." Arabella whispered.
Kaoru gave her a devious smile. "Oh, I didn't pick this spot to hide in..." he said before he wiggled his eyebrows.
"Since when are you the mischievous twin?" Arabella chuckled.
"Since I started dating you. You bring out my mischievous side."
"Kaoru, we literally just started dating yesterday."
Kaoru shrugged. "Things change. Real fast."
Arabella gave him a look. "Maybe I should stop being afraid of the things Hikaru might do and start being afraid of the things you might do." she said with a smile.
Kaoru smirked. "Maybe~! Maybe I'm dangerous."
"Maybe. But, some times it's fun to be dangerous." Arabella said before she kissed him lightly on the lips.
Then, just as she was about to pull away, Kaoru suddenly pulled her closer and wrapped his arms around her.
Arabella's eyes widened. "Kaoru, what are you doing?"
"What does it look like I'm doing?" Then, Kaoru kissed Arabella's neck.
Arabella tensed. "Kaoru. We can't have a full-on make out session right here! We're in the middle of Kick the Can. What if someone sees us? What if the Newspaper Club sees us?"
Kaoru kept kissing up Arabella's neck. "So? Besides, why do you think I picked this hiding spot? We're completely covered and no one can see us. So, while we're having one of those rare moments alone, I say we have some fun."
Arabella shivered. "Fine."
Kaoru smirked again before he kept kissing up until he got to Arabella's jawline. He kissed it lightly before he came to Arabella's lips.
Eventually, Arabella was pinned against a tree with Kaoru's arms tightly around her. Arabella's arms went around Kaoru's neck.
Meanwhile, way across the yard, Kyoya crouched on the ground, near the can, counting. "One... two..."
"You've got to be kidding me! I can't put up with his shenanigans any longer!" Akira said before he, Chikage, and Tomochika walked away. "You'll pay for this, Tamaki Suoh..."
Kyoya kept counting. "... five... six..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Haruhi faced Tamaki and sighed. "Are we lost?"

Tamaki stiffened.

He and Haruhi were somewhere in the great maze of roses.

"We're lost, aren't we?" Haruhi sighed.

Tamaki suddenly waved her over. "Haruhi! Come here! I found a great hiding spot!" he called.

"We're lost." Haruhi mumbled.

Eventually, Tamaki ended up pulling her into the hiding spot.

"In a sense, we're stranded, huh?" Haruhi said.

"Woof." Tamaki said.

"It's a good thing you made Kyoya-senpai 'it', isn't it?" Haruhi said.

"Woof, woof." Tamaki said.

"Are you goofing around?" Haruhi asked.

"Woof, woof, woof!"

"You know, I didn't think I'd still be playing this game when I got into high school, even though we kinda play it all the time now." Haruhi said.

"This isn't fun?"

"Well, I did play it with my friends when we were in elementary school." Haruhi said.

"Ya' don't say. Well, I never really had many friends who were the same age as me. My mom got sick easily, you see. I was so worried about her, I didn't go outside much as a child. And, to cheer her up, I'd always sit beside her and play the piano. That's why it's so fun for me to play with everyone like this," Tamaki said. He smiled. "It's really fun!"

Haruhi smiled back.

"Let's play this game more often." Tamaki said.

"More than we already do?" Haruhi chuckled. Then, she smiled again. "Sure thing."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I'm going to finish this story!" Akira said as he walked down the hallway quickly, Chikage and Tomochika following.
"President!" Chikage said.
"It might be too dangerous to write any gossip without any proof!" Tomochika said.
"Even without any proof right now, I just have to write an article that exposes him. If I set my mind to it, I can can cook up any number of articles that will throw the idiots at this academy into a tizzy," Akira said before they all entered the Newspaper Club's room. "In any case, we have to set Suoh up."
"So it's really true, huh?"
Hikaru and Kaoru were sitting on Akira's desk.
Akira glared at them. "Why you little...!"
"It was kinda obvious." Hikaru said.
"I bet his highness is the only one who hasn't caught on," Kaoru said. "He's especially dense when it comes to himself."
"We're warning you, if you start something against his highness, there will be consequences." Hikaru said.
"Are you ready to turn not only the Hitachiins, but all of our club members' families against you?" Kaoru asked.
"I knew it... Suoh is wielding his parents' power and giving out orders to you! You're with him as his minions." Akira said.
"No he's not."
"And, no, we're not."
Akira turned in surprise to see Honey, Mori, and Arabella as well.
"Tama-chan wouldn't do that. We all love Tama-chan, and that's why we hang out with him." Honey said.
"Yeah. We're not with him because of who his parents might be--we're with him because he's nice and funny and joyful to be around." Arabella said.
"He is a hopeless idiot, however." Kyoya said, sitting atop a large stack of newspapers.
"So..." Hikaru started.
"... what will it be?" Kaoru finished.
"Please don't do this." Honey told Akira.
"Damn it! It's not just Suoh anymore! I'm going to ruin you all!" Akira shouted.
"Please, feel free," Kyoya said as he picked up his first aid kit. "However...," He suddenly pushed a button on the bottom of the kit, and out popped a CD disk. "I wonder what you should do about this disk that has been secretly recording all of your conversations and remarks since yesterday..."
Chikage and Tomochika hid behind Akira.
"President!" Chikage said.
"No more!" Tomochika said.
"To put it in the same terms you would, here's the deal: you'll do well to remember that with just the stock that the Ootori Group and the Hitachiins own, we could replace the president of your father's publishing firm whenever we like," Kyoya said. "However, we're not like you. We are after fundamentally different things."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Found you!"

"Woof!"

Haruhi and Tamaki lifted their heads to see the rest of the Host Club standing in front of them and their hiding spot.

"Where's the Newspaper Club?" Tamaki asked.

"Something urgent came up, so they've stopped covering us." Hikaru and Kaoru said.

"They said they'd be writing respectable articles from now on." Hikaru said.

"Maybe they'll get by without having to shut down their club." Kaoru said.

"Really? That's great." Tamaki said.

"Let's hurry back to Music Room 3 so we can eat some cake!" Honey said.

They all began to walk back.

"Yeah." Mori said.

"Yeah, sure. Cake!" Tamaki said.

"Oh, by the way, Kyoya-senpai... Is the Suoh family really that big of a deal?" Haruhi said.

"Well, their industry has been based around the finance business for a long time. You've heard of them before, haven't you?" Kyoya said. "The Roy Grand Hotel, the Outo Theatre, and so on? Also, as you know, they are in school management."

"Which school?" Haruhi asked.

"This one... Ouran." Kyoya said.

Haruhi and Arabella's eyes widened when they heard that.

"You ought to at least know who the superintendent of your own school's board of trustees is," Kyoya said. "That's right... Come to think of it now, you both were allowed to enroll here with the aid of Tamaki's family, weren't you? See that you two are grateful to them."

Haruhi and Arabella had stopped walking and were just standing there.

"Haruhi! Arabella!"

Haruhi and Arabella looked at Tamaki.

"Hurry up, or we're going to leave you behind! Haruhi, you'll get yourself lost again," he said. "And, Arabella, my little girl, where were you hiding anyway? We never did find you...!"

Haruhi just stared at Tamaki while Arabella blushed.

"O-Oh... you know... Just some regular, old hiding spot... Nothing special... or anything..." she mumbled, Haruhi still staring beside her.

Up ahead Kyoya said, "Oh, by the way, Kaoru?"

Kaoru turned to him.

"When you and Arabella have a... Ahem... make out session, try to be more discreet about it, alright?" Kyoya said.

Kaoru's eyes widened as he blushed. "H-How did you--"

"Arabella's hair is unkempt, her hair barrette is crooked, and her face is a bit flushed. Also, your hair is unkempt, your uniform jacket is on weird, and your tie is more than slightly out of place." Kyoya said.

Kaoru's eyes widened even wider.

Kyoya gave him an innocent smile. "What? You act as if these things aren't easy to deduce."

Kaoru just stared blankly ahead. "You know too much about people."

Kyoya smiled again. "Why, thank you. I do try."

Kaoru said nothing in reply as they all kept walking.
