Someone, Somewhere
I was reading through this and realised it's pretty crap and slow but I promise it will get better (hopefully)
Bright flashing lights and loud club music raged on safely contained inside brick walls. Inside, drunk teenagers danced and grinded on each other in a sea of sweaty bodies.
Outside, a tall brunette with deep blue eyes pushed a smaller blonde against the wall, their tongues down each others throat.
The air was cool and crisp, the pale moonlight illuminated them both like a searchlight catching them in an illegal act.
Through the haze of alcohol, Geoff was aware there was someone there but he wasn't sure who. He didn't care as long as they got him off.
Before it could progress, a hand reached out and dragged Geoff away from them. "Dude what the fuck? That was going really well." Geoff slurred. He tried to remove the hand from his shoulder but to no avail.
"I saved you from a mistake. Don't have drunk sex with drunk girls." Geoff didn't know where the voice came from. He guessed it was the hand and giggled but then frowned.
"Wait that was a girl?" He was confused. Do girls normally feel like that?
"Yes, can you not see that she had her boobs in your face?" The hand queried. "No. To be honest dude I don't even know who's talking, you're just a hand." The brunette laughed.
Geoff stopped walking and turned around. Red hair bobbed around in front of his blurry vision. "You're a colour." Geoff giggled. He reached out to pet their hair but the hair moved away.
"Stop moving!" Geoff demanded.
"Stop touching me!" Jawn ducked as Geoff's arm reached out at him. Eventually he gave up and stumbled forwards.
"Where are you going?" Jawn asked. "Home...where is it?"
Jawn sighed and grabbed onto Geoff again, leading him down the road. "We're going to my house otherwise your Dad will kill you."
"Ooh can we play Mario Kart?"
"No. You're gonna sleep this off, wake up and go to school."
"You're no fun." Geoff pouted. Jawn covered his mouth and coughed before responding. "Yeah I know. Now come on." He felt like a million knives were carving into the back of his throat and the roof of his mouth. Everytime he coughed he could practically taste blood.
He wasn't sure how he managed it but Jawn half pushed and half carried Geoff home. "How are you heavier when you're drunk?" Jawn groaned, his throat sore and scratchy.
Geoff shrugged and leant against the door. After producing house keys and unlocking the door, Jawn pushed it open causing Geoff to fall to the floor.
"Ok my Mom's probably asleep so be quiet." Jawn whispered, stepping over Geoff and flicking on the light. "Ow. Ok so I'm crashing on the sofa again right?" Geoff asked, sitting up and rubbing his head.
"Nah, you can stay in my room tonight. First day back tomorrow!"
"Ugh don't remind me. I do not want to go back to that hellhole." He whined and pouted. "Everyone sucks dick."
"Shut up Geoff. You're seventeen not seven now get your ass upstairs and go to sleep."
Still complaining Geoff wandered upstairs and into Jawn's room before flopping on the bed and passing out.
Meanwhile downstairs, Jawn was sat on the sofa with his head in his hands. It was the fifth time that week! Ever since She left three months ago, Geoff hadn't been the same.
Jawn knew about Geoff's plans so he knew how much he was hurting. He really loved Her and would do anything for Her but they both knew they weren't meant to be.
Still he was slowly killing himself. Random people would always invite him to parties and, being the sweet person he was, he would always say yes.
Jawn tagged along just to keep an eye on him, making sure he didn't like die or something. He loved Geoff but it was becoming a problem and he didn't know how to help him.
He didn't know how to keep him from falling.

You know those people who say they can't wait to get drunk for the first time and have a hangover? They're fucking stupid.
Geoff awoke with a splitting headache like Thor had just bashed his skull in with his hammer. His stomach churned and bile rose in his throat. Leaping from the bed, he raced to the bathroom.
The entirety of his stomach contents emptied into the porcelain bowl painting it bright pink. Aftershock is Hell going down and Hell coming back up even if it is a pretty colour.
"Gross." Geoff stood up and slowly trudged back to Jawn's room.
"Morning sunshine." A croaky voice shouted. "Shh too loud. Be quiet, whisper." Geoff moaned, clutching his head with his hands.
"I am whispering," Jawn insisted, "I'm losing my voice. I can barely talk."
Geoff frowned. "Are you ok?" With his head still pounding, he tried to ignore it. Geoff shuffled over to the bed and lay down next to him.
"Yeah I'm ok, just a bit ill. I won't be coming in with you." Jawn coughed and stifled a groan. "Well you won't be alone 'cause I'm staying with you. I'll keep you company." The brunette said softly.
"No you won't. You are going to school."
"You're not my Mom. I'm taking the day off. I feel like shit."
"No you're gonn-"
"Jawn get your ass up or you'll be late!" Jawn's Mom interrupted, banging on the door.
"Ok give us a few minutes." His voice was quiet.
Geoff turned back to Jawn and widened his eyes.
"Please let me stay off today. I'm actually dying."
"No. Get out of my bed and take a shower. You stink of vodka and weed."
-
"Look who decided to show up."
Geoff glared at his friend through tinted glasses. "If you say one more word I will I will pull the teeth out of your fucking mouth."
Otto grinned. The taller boy slumped down in his seat ignoring all looks being shot his way. "Hey Geoff, you need an aspirin?" Grace asked kindly from the other side of Otto.
"Yeah, that would be great." He smiled weakly.
"Grace, Geoff, Otto shut up." Miss Horrocks snapped. Otto frowned. Geoff took the pills from Grace and flipped their maths teacher off.
"Detention Geoff." Miss Horrocks sighed. Otto growled; Grace placed her hand on his, intertwining their fingers.
Tipping his head back Geoff swallowed the aspirins dry and grimaced. The tattoo Grace and Otto had glowed a baby pink when they hands touched. It was a sign of love. A sign of belonging, trust and promise.
They're together forever. Soul mates. Simply meant to be.
The brunette looked down at his own wrist, covered in fading red lines.
Geoff's aching head matched the ache in his chest. He knew there was someone out there for him. Someone, somewhere.
An empty heart full of broken parts.
This is the soul mate mark
Hope you enjoyed!! Xox
