Chapter 5: Donut
"Y/N! Good to have you back!" Our teacher said to me, patting me on the shoulder lightly.
"It's good to be back," I smiled.
Students were now starting to get on the bus, and Peter still hadn't let go of me. "Pete, you know you can let go, I'm not going anywhere."
He sighed, and looked down at me.
"I know. But Y/N/N, I thought you were dead. I couldn't feel your heartbeat. And I haven't heard anything for two weeks. Nobody knew whether you were alive or not."
"I'm so sorry you had to go through that," I whispered. To feel someone's death...must have been tough. "But it's ok now. Do you know how amazing Shuri is? She's so fucking smart."
About half an hour after I passed out, I was sent to Wakanda by my father. Since Bruce was still missing, no one had any idea where to find him. We've looked of course, but no luck.
So, we needed Shuri's help. The technology in Wakanda is much more advanced, so they were able to heal me.
They've helped Bucky, too. He decided to go back under, incase he had another incident.
"I know. I just don't want to loose you again. I don't want to ever feel that," he responded, pulling me closer to him, and I wrapped my arm around his waist.
We stepped onto the school bus and walked to a seat, towards the front.
Peter sat by the window, and I was on his left.
"Peter?" I whispered to him, while he was looking out the window.
I felt the bus vibrate, and we started moving.
"Hm?" He turned to me.
"Did you read the notebook?"
"Uh, yeah. Yeah a few times. Why?"
"I just wanted to know," I blushed.
In there, I wrote a journal. I wrote about my problems with Flash, and how much I regretted it. And, about my mother. Little things I remember. I wrote letters to her, just expressing my anger. I have no memories of her, I only have some old pictures that are under my bed. There were short stories in there, and poems, too.
And, how much I loved my family. I wrote about my dad and The Avengers.
And of course, there were things about Peter.
Things like, 'I wish I could tell you how I really feel, how much I love you.'
That was before we got together, and I went really deep into my feelings there.
"You're an amazing writer, Y/N."
"Thanks," I smiled.
"It's true. When did you get in, anyways?"
"Last night. I'm sorry I didn't call, I was really tired."
"It's ok. Just don't ever do that again. You scared the shit out of me. And May, too."
"I'll try not to."
We sat in silence for about half an hour, staring out the windows.
"Do you still have your powers?" Peter muttered to me randomly.
"Mhm."
"Yay. We can fight together again. On one condition," he smiled.
"Ok?"
"If you are the slight bit tired, or sick, I don't want you going out there. We can stay in and watch movies."
"Oh my Thor, you're so cute."
He blushed, rubbing his eyes with his hands.
"Oh, ahaha, I said that out loud, didn't I?"
"Y-yea."
"Kill me now," I mumbled to myself. "Woah! Look Peter!"
He looked to where I was pointing, which was his chest.
"Wha-"
I brought my finger up, hitting his nose in the process.
"Aye!"
I laughed, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
I had dyed it again in Wakanda, so it was a little bit of a darker silver now.
"You're the cute one," Peter smiled, cupping my face with his hand. He started to lean in, and I did the same.
"Aweee."
"Ned," Pete groaned, pulling away from me.
"Sorry, you guys are adorable."
I looked behind us, and Ned was sitting with his head resting on his hand, and his arm on the back of our seat.
"And you're annoying," Peter rolled his eyes.
"Rude. Fine, go back to your cuddling."
"Gladly," I stuck my tongue out at him, and he sank to the back of his seat.
"I love you," Peter blurted out, kissing the top of my head.
"I know. I love you too," I smiled up at him, and I leaned my head against his chest.
For most of the ride, we talked about random, little things.
He said I didn't really miss much in school, which was good. He told me jokes and riddles, trying to get me to laugh.
In Wakanda, I was asleep most of the time, so I couldn't contact anyone. I woke up a few days ago, and I used that time to take tests and to train.
Yes, I still have my super speed, my enhanced hearing, and strength.
We had to make sure everything was normal for me, and health was ordinary.
Peter's arm was resting resting on the seat in front of us, his other hand holding mine.
Just then, his head whipped up, as the hairs on his arms raised.
"Peter, something's-"
I looked out the window, and what I saw was...surreal.
There was a gigantic donut shaped ship hovering over the city.
"Ned, Ned I need you to cause a distraction," Peter said, waving his arm in front of Ned's face.
"Holy shit," He responded. "We're all gonna die!" He stood up and ran to the back of the bus, and students followed him, shouting over each other.
"What's the matter, you kids never seen a spaceship before?" Mr Lee, the bus driver called.
"You have your suit?" I asked Peter, as he reached into his bag and grabbed his mask and web shooters.
He shot a web at one of the windows, yanking it open.
I pulled my mask out of my bag as well.
"Go, I'll catch up with you, same alley," I said, and I kissed him.
"Ok," Peter responded, jumping out the window.
I saw him swing underneath the bridge, and he started to head for the city.
I put on my mask, and squeezed myself out. Using my speed, I ran along the bridge, into the alleyway by Delmar's.
Quickly, I changed into my suit. Just as I zipped it up, Peter landed down beside me.
"Pete," I whispered.
"Yeah?" He responded, pushing the spider on his chest.
"This thing, it looks dangerous."
"I know, it'll be ok," He hugged me. "Let's go."
Peter grabbed my waist, and shot a web to a building, taking us to a small green clearing.
