chapter thirty-two
"Henry!" Brooke called as she struggled to catch up with him since he was striding down the streets. "Henry, will you stop!? Emma and Regina said to wait back in library."
"They could be in trouble. Besides, since when did you do what you're told and why do you care. You already ran away with me and-"
Brooke cut him off by taking hold of his hand, making him stop and look down at their hands before up at Brooke.
"I know you're scared and if you really think this is the best thing to do, I'll help you. "
"Thank you."
Brooke flashed him a smile as the two walked down the street. "But I hope you have a good plan because we don't have magic and we have no idea where Gold is."
"Actually, I think I do..." Henry trailed off and let go of his girlfriend's hand, looking over to one of the buildings in the distance. Brooke followed his eyes and hers widened when she saw dark blue clouds spiralled around it, with occasional bolts of lightening.

Brooke and Henry ran into Gold's hotel room, luckily, the door was open. "Stop!" They both yelled.
"Get out of here!" Regina ordered, not wanting the two to get hurt. "There's nothing you can do."
Brooke groaned and rolled her eyes, looking at Henry. "Back at it again with the lies."
Henry nodded and looked at Regina. "Yes there is." He held out the holy grail, which sent out the same wave of vibration it did before. The crystal disappeared from Gold's palm and Henry managed to control it, making it land in the centre of the table engraved with symbols and candles around it. The Olympian Crystal rose from the table and spun around as the candles blew out, Brooke stood there with her mouth agape.
The power of the holy grail then shot the wave at the group stood around it, knocking them to the floor. Once it was over, they all got up and stood there, still processing what just happened.
"Henry... what have you done?" Emma said, her voice hardly audible.
"I destroyed magic."
"Have you got any idea what you've just done?" Gold sneered.
"I stopped you from hurting my moms and anybody else!" Henry replied.
"You stopped me from rescuing Belle. Not to mention your family and they're trapped in the same room with her!" He snapped.
Henry froze in his place as he felt his heart drop.
"W-what's he talking about?" Brooke stammered, feeling the same as Henry.
"David, Snow, Hook and Zelena are in another realm right now." Regina explained.
"And thanks to you, we have no way of helping them get back." Gold added.
"I did what I had to!" Henry defended. "This isn't on me, it's on you!" He yelled, before storming off.
"I'll make sure he doesn't go far." Brooke told his moms.

Henry was sat by the side of the fountain, staring at nothing in particular. Brooke was awkwardly sat there next to him - she could tell he wasn't happy. She then saw Emma walking up towards them. "Hey, can we have a second?" She asked.
Brooke nodded and gave her a smile before standing up and walking away. She sighed and decided to walk off to the market to take her mind off it. She hated seeing Henry like this - she couldn't bare it. He accused Gold but she could tell that he was telling himself it was him inside. But really, all he was trying to do was save everyone from getting hurt so everyone was happy. No one loses anyone - family or lovers, no one becomes overwhelmed by the darkness and everyone gets along.
Soon enough, Henry came up behind Brooke and placed his hands on her shoulders. She spun around and smiled when he noticed he looked a little happier than before. "Come with us, we're visiting The Dragon."
"Wait, the what?"
***
According to Gold, The Dragon was able to track where Hook, Zelena, David and Snow were. He placed a lotus in a bowl filled with some special water Brooke didn't know about and gently held his hands out in front of it. The water then rose a little and the lotus spun around before disappearing and an image if Hook, Zelena, David and Snow walking through what looked like a village with a man they didn't recognise. Brooke pointed at them. "Look!"
"Where the hell is that?" Regina asked.
"Wherever it is, they're in trouble."
"We need to get through so we can help them." Regina announced, looking at The Dragon, who looked like you were struggling. The spell then broke and he stumbled backwards.
"I'm afraid opening a portal to that realm is beyond my power." He said in between deep breaths.
"You can't give up." Henry said. "My family, they're in trouble!"
"I've done all I can for you, but you, "he looked at Henry, "you haven't."
Henry furrowed his brows. "Me?" He repeated.
"All of you! Just because the boy destroyed Storybrooke's magic doesn't mean there's any in this world."
"Really? Because I think there is a reason they called this place 'the land without magic'." Regina retorted.
"Yes, because that's how it appears." The Dragon replied, calmly. He turned to Emma, Henry and Brooke. "There's magic everywhere, if you're willing to see it."
"That sounds an awful lot like something a friend told me a long time ago." Emma said.
"August."
Emma stared at him, wondering as to how he knew him.
"Yes, I know who you are, Saviour. If you want to find magic, remember what he taught you." He pointed.
"You have to believe..."
"So, what do you suggest we do now? After all, saying you believe, doesn't make it so." Gold chipped in.
"I hate to say it, but he's got a point." Brooke sighed.
"I know how." Henry suddenly said.
"How is that going to help us?" Regina asked their son, as the group stood in front of the fountain in the centre of New York.
"Because there's magic in it." Henry simply replied, pulling out a coin. "Every time someone makes a wish-"
"I don't think throwing a coin in the Fountain is what The Dragon was talking about." Gold remarked.
Henry stared at him. "All do respect, grandpa, but I think that was exactly what he was talking about." He shot back.
Brooke rose an eyebrow and turned to Henry, smirking at his comeback. Gold raised his eyebrows and turned away.
"Mom, when we were living in New York, remember the last time you took me?" Henry asked Emma.
"Yeah. I don't know, you were sad about something - maybe something at school?"
"It was because of you. I could tell you were lonely so I wished our family would be complete. Do you know what happened few days later?"
Emma thought for a moment. "Hook came to New York!" She exclaimed. "And he brought us back to Storybrooke and we were reunited with our family."
"There was magic!" Henry concluded. "It was right here, we just didn't know it. Don't you see? We just need to wish they were back." He walked closer to the fountain before wishing he was reunited with his family and flipping the coin into the water. Brooke looked at the crystal in Regina's hand, which was glowing a little.
"Come on, it can't just be me!" He ushered for them to join him. "Everybody make a wish! This will work, I promise." He reassured, as he handed each of them a coin.
"Okay, kid." Emma smiled.
He handed one to Brooke before taking hold of her hand for a second and leading her to the fountain for before letting go. She smiled at him before closing her eyes and making a wish, before throwing her coin in the pond. Everyone else did the same.
Brooke looked back over to the crystal and this time pointed at it once she saw it glow again. "Did you see that?"
"Sometimes that boy surprises me." Gold mumbled before throwing his coin into the fountain.
"All we need is more," Brooke sighed. "How are we gonna do that?"
Henry chuckled at her. "You know in a situation like this, you really should believe a little more."
Brooke grinned and watched her boyfriend run up the stairs leading to one of the sights in New York and climbing into the statue of a lion. She covered her mouth with her hands at how confident he was with this - she would never have the guts to do that and she didn't think Henry would either - but he's doing this for his family.
"People of New York City!" He yelled. "My name is Henry Mills and I need your help!
People noticed Henry trying to get their attention and gathered around. "My family's in danger but we can save them, with magic!"
People began to laugh lightly at him, as did Brooke and Emma, but they were laughing with him and how he could possibly be making a massive fool out of himself.
"I know how crazy it sounds, but magic is real - it's all around us! You just have to be willing to see it and be willing to believe! And I know how hard that is; I once let my own belief waver, but I was wrong." He paused for a moment and looked over to Brooke, who still had her hands over her mouth, but was smiling as well as laughing, Emma, who couldn't believe her son was doing this, and Regina, who was also feeling the same was as Emma. He then carried on.
"We need magic! It can make the world a better place! I know it seems impossible, but think about it: at some point in your life every one of you was once a believed and at some point you left that part of you behind, but you can go back to it if you believe! So what do you say? Will you make a wish for us? Will you help us return magic to this world?"
The crowd began to speak and nod in agreement as Henry jumped off the lion and ran down the stairs and to the fountain. "We just have to make a wish, come on, let's go!"
Brooke, Emma and Regina watched as everyone ran with him and made wishes before throwing their coins into the fountain with smiles on their faces. Regina made one more wish as threw a coin in as the crystal began to glow even more.
"It's actually restoring magic!" Emma exclaimed.
"See?" Henry smiled as he turned around. "I told you."
The water from the fountain suddenly shot into the air in a spiral motion and before they knew it, Hook, Zelena, David and Snow had replaced the fountain water. They all looked around as the people of New York looked stunned by the fact it actually worked.
"Dad!" Emma cried, running towards David and hugging him. "Mom!"
Brooke watched Zelena and Regina hug each-other, happy that they're finally getting along before watching Hook and Emma hug each-other - she had to admit, she loved them as a couple.
"I knew you'd find us, Swan."
"It wasn't me this time; it was all Henry." Emma replied.
The crowd then began to cheer and applaud them.
"Henry-" Emma began.
"They think it was all an act, that none of this was real."
"It's okay, Henry. It's the only way they can understand, but for a moment, they believed. The moment you... you did the impossible: you made the world believe." Emma reassured him.
Brooke watched the mother and son exchange small smiles before Emma noticed her watching and decided to let the two talk. Once she walked away to the others, Henry was about to speak but Brooke cut him off by taking hold of his collar and kissing him. At first, Henry was surprised, but nevertheless kissed back as Brooke smiled through it. "I've never been more in love with you before." She whispered once they pulled away, making Henry's heart skip a beat.
