A meteorite
that's what
you are to me
from far away
a shooting star
but once you
crashed into me
destruction found me
churned me and left me
with a damaged soul

But my soul's healed
and it may not
be the same
anymore but I've learned
that though meteorites
will whirl at me
I'll keep healing
and with each caress
of the damage they leave
I'll be coming out stronger
