Imperfect Perfectionists
In this world where perfection
Is a key to survive,
I'm just a flaw stitched together
To make myself fit in.
I watch thousands of eyes judge me
The way I walk and the way I talk
The way I laugh and the way I cry
The color of my skin and the color of my eyes.
I try to breathe wondering if the world would
Mock me for the way my heart beats
Everytime I walk on the streets
With fear that seeps into my veins
Knowing that someone would comment
Harshly onto something that I'm doing.
Oh how the society has scratched
Our hearts until all that remained
Were their perfect scars.
