When we first met
the sun bled
and turned the sky into reds and oranges
painting up the world with our burning feelings

When you first held me
it made the waves of the ocean
crash into each other and surrender
to the winds of our breaths
that collided when the two of us did

When you first kissed me
the raging storms
around me calmed down
and made me clearly see
what I've been hiding away from
and what magic truly feels like

And I wish I could tell you
the words that flow in my veins
they're aching to burst out
and be heard by the entire universe

I wish I could tell you
how everytime you looked at me
the world screamed at me in blinding lights
of the whole wide universe
that it was you and only you that could make me
feel and fall so deep in love

But I'm pushing those words
down below in the darkest corner
of my heart as soon as I realize
everything will remain
just the same and that
