Chapter 5: Strike Three//Part Two
-Sapphire POV-
After that whole situation in the cafeteria I kinda felt bad for that boy...but it was either him or me...still wish I could've gotten his name though...but as of right now I'm in the locker room getting ready for the initiation while I grabbed my scythe and sword plus my daggers as I put them on my belt ignoring the conversation my sisters were having as I spotted the one and only Pyrrha Nikos. ~Figures she'll be in a place like this...at least I'll have someone worthy to be called my rival...~ I thought to myself before seeing Weiss walk up to her.
"So Pyrrha, have you given any thought on who's team you'll like to be on? I'm sure everyone must be eager to unite with such a strong well-known individual such as yourself."
"Hmm...I'm not quite sure. I was planning on letting the chips fall where they may."
"Well, I was thinking maybe we can be on a team together."
"Well that sounds grand!"
"Great!" Then Weiss became weird as Jaune walks over.
"You know what else is great? Me, Jaune Arc. Nice to meet you."
I giggled as I walked over. "I didn't know you were great, Vomit Boy."
Jaune cringed at the name before looking at me. "Oh quiet Ice Queen."
"Ice Queen? I like the sound of that." I smirked as Jaune sighed.
"You again?" Weiss said annoyed.
"Nice to meet you, Jaune! And Ice Queen?" Pyrrha greeted.
"Sapphire Rose at your service." Jaune pushed me out the way as I said Strike One for him.
"Yeah, yeah. So Weiss! Been hearing rumors about teams! I was thinking you and me would make a good one. What do you say?"
Pyrrha then stepped in. "Actually, I think the teams are comprised of four students each, so-"
Jaune cuts her off as he lost all interest in Weiss before heading over to Pyrrha. "You don't say. Well, hot-stuff, play your cards right and maybe you could join up with the winning team."
I laughed to myself at Jaune's antics as he goes between the two girls.
"Jaune, is it? Do you have any idea who you are taking to?" Weiss asked him as she separated the two.
"Not in the slightest, Snow Angel."
"Wait really?" I looked at him like he was an idiot.
"This is Pyrrha."
"Hello again!" She waved.
"Pyrrha graduated top of her class at Sanctum."
"Never heard of it."
"My standards for you keep dropping and rising Jaune...high in confidence and low in intelligence..." I stated as Jaune rolled his eyes.
"Ah! She's won the Mistral Regional Tournament four years in a row...A new record!"
"The what?" I sighed and said...
"She's on the front of every Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow Flakes box..."
Jaune gasps. "That's you? They only do that for star athletes and cartoon characters!"
"Yeah, it was pretty cool. Sadly, the cereal isn't very good for you." Pyrrha stated.
"So, after hearing all of this, do you really think you're in a position to ask her to be on your team?" Weiss said making Jaune's confidence go down.
"I guess not...sorry."
"Actually Jaune, I think you'd make a great leader." Pyrrha said placing her hand on his shoulder while boosting his confidence back up.
"Oh, stop it!" He said flattered and excited.
"Seriously, please stop it. This kind of behavior should not be encouraged."
"And what about your attitude?" I glared at her shutting her up until Jaune got up in her face.
"Sounds like Pyrrha's on board for team Jaune. Spots are filling up quick. Now I'm not supposed to do this, but, maybe I could pull some strings. Find a place for you. What do you say?" He asked getting closer and closer.
"Alright, that's a bit too close! Pyrrha, a little help please!?"
I looked at Pyrrha seeing that she was going to throw her spear which she soon did as it heads towards Jaune so I quickly threw a dagger hitting the spear thus making it spin off its course while I grabbed the end of the spear tossing it back to Pyrrha in one swift motion.
"Jaune give the Schnee some space..." I then looked at Pyrrha. "And I plan on breaking that record." I said to her then she smiled.
"I look forward to it." She replied but I then held out my fist.
"Then it's a deal, wait until the day that I can beat you." I gave her cheerful closed eyes grin.
She gave a happy smile before bumping fist with me. "Ok, I'll wait for that day to come."
All was well until Glynda's voice came over the intercom. "Would all first year students please report to Beacon Cliff for initiation? Again, all first year students report to Beacon Cliff immediately."
Me and Pyrrha looked at each other and nods while she walks off waving. "It was nice meeting you, Sapphire."
"Likewise, Pyrrha." I gave her a thumbs up.
She leaves including Weiss who already left.
Jaune sighed as Yang and Ruby walks up.
"Havin' some trouble there, Ladykiller?"
"I don't understand...My dad said all women look for is confidence...even Sapphire said that I'll need it once I find 'The One'...Where did I go wrong!?"
"Snow Angel, probably wasn't the best start..." I stated.
"Come on, Jaune. Let's go." Ruby said as we all head to Beacon Cliff.
-Time Skip, At Beacon Cliff-
Ozpin was speaking but, I truly didn't care as I had my blue headphones on playing music until they lifted off my head. "Wha-?"
"Miss Rose, is the information so boring that you rather ignore it all together while listening to music?" Glynda asked me.
"Well obviously, if you want me to pay attention then, give me my objective and I'll be there and back." I shrugged as Yang facepalms.
"Sis, the main thing you need to know is, after landing you find a partner, go deep into the forest get a relic and come back."
"Thanks." I put my headphones back on but later I got lunch as I wasn't prepared at the moment. "What the FUUUUUU-"
