-Sapphire POV-

It's been awhile since someone came down to check on me and I've been down here for a few weeks...I think, Ruby being the main one, she seems as though she actually cares... probably just an act to get me to talk which isn't working...but she keeps trying which makes me think otherwise.

Suddenly the door opens followed by footsteps so I look up seeing 'dad' looking down at me...well mainly my bandage up left eye.

"Sapphire..." Was all he said as I glared at him. "I'm sorry..." My glare softened but I then remember everything this man did to me as I gave a small giggle, before turning into a full blown laugh.

"You're SORRY!?" I shouted at him with a ragged voice for not talking for so long. "I think you're a few years too late don't you think!?" I continued. "But I have to ask you...'father'...why? Why say sorry now when you know that I'll never forgive you or this family!?" I asked demanding an answer only for Tai to remain silent. "...Get out of my sight can't stand seeing you...I wonder what mother saw in a monster like y-" I didn't get to finish as he punched across the face making me spit out blood before I return to look at him. "...In a monster like you..." It seems that I have found a very dangerous button since he punched me again and again but he soon stopped cause Qrow had came in with Ruby as he threw him off me.

"What the hell is wrong with you!?" Qrow yelled at Tai who seem to have anger yet regret in his eyes but while this was happening Ruby slid next to me and check my open wounds tearing up a bit.

"This isn't right..." She mumbled to herself trying to clean me up.

"...Ruby..." I said without taking my eyes...well eye off of Qrow and Tai.

"Y-Yes, Sapphire?" She asked with a bit of happiness from me talking to her but she was still worried.

"...Can I trust you?" I looked at her as she seemed shocked but a little more excited.

"Sapphire...of course you can trust me."

This made me smile a little. "Think you can come back when these two leave?"

She nods. "Sure I'll be back when you're alone."

"Thanks Ruby." I thanked.

"No prob Sapphire." She gave me a warm smile before returning to my wounds.

As she did that I returned my attention to Tai and Qrow as Qrow was giving Tai a good talking to before walking up to me and kneeling to my level since I'm still tied to a chair. "How is she Ruby?"

"W-Well new and old wounds have opened, I think they'll leave scars unless she unlocks her aura..."

"....Help me untie her...." Qrow said as he got one side making Ruby get the other.

"W-What are you doing?" I asked while my eye trailed to Tai who was watching.

"I'm gonna train you..." Qrow said leaving me speechless while he and Ruby finished setting me 'free' while helping me upstairs, and as we walked through the dirty halls we ran into Yang who was coming downstairs.

"Hey Uncle Qrow, Ruby." She then spots me. "...Sapphire."

I stayed silent giving no response while looking away.

"Hey Yang, care to join us?" Ruby asked her.

"Where are you going?"

"We're going to train her and unlock her aura." Qrow answered.

"Why?" I finally spoke up with my ragged voice making them look at me. "Why do this now..? I don't understand..." I teared up a bit.

"Sapphire look at me..." Qrow said as I then look at him. "Would you believe me if I said I never wanted any of this to happen?"

"No I wouldn't...If you never wanted any of this to happen then why didn't you stop it?"

He sighed softly. "It's really complicated Sapphire especially with my semblance...so please don't feel like you have to wonder if it's pity or that I'm doing this crap on purpose..."

I just looked at him then around the house before giving a small smirk to lighten the mood. "Y'all can't do anything around this house without me huh..?"

Qrow chuckled as Ruby giggled. "I guess not, let's get you cleaned up."

They lead me upstairs towards the bathroom.

-TimeSkip 3rd POV-

Once the girls had cleaned up Sapphire thus allowing them to see more scars that they never seen. They had quickly got dressed and lead Sapphire outside where Qrow was waiting. "About time girls."

"Sorry uncle Qrow." Yang apologized.

"Well then, Sapphire come here." Qrow said but she didn't move as she was enjoying the freedom of being outside without punishment. "... Sapphire?"

She snapped out of it before turning towards him. "Y-Yes?"

"Come here I need to show you something." She walked towards him. "Now stand right here as I get you your weapons."

Sapphire seemed confused. "Weapons? But I don't have any weapons nor did I make any."

"That's where we come in." Yang said.

"What do you mean?"

"Well...us three had a plan on setting you free...ugh I mean getting you out the basement so we can help you with your aura and fighting Soo...WekindamadeyousomeweaponsthatwillorwillnotsuityousoIhopeyoulikethem!"

"Translation..." Sapphire looks at Yang.

"We made you some weapons that may or may not suit you and she hopes you like them."

"Oh... thanks guys." I gave a small smile.

"I'm back." Qrow announced as he came back holding a few blue weapons.

"Wow... how many did y'all make?"

"I did two, Yang did two and Ruby...did six..."

"Sorry I kinda got carried away..." She scratch the back of her head nervously.

"Well let's see what you made me..." She said browsing through all the weapons Qrow set against the trees.

-TimeSkip-

Once Sapphire was done she had three weapons.

"I can tell who got/made me what..." She stated.

"Well?" Ruby started. "What are you going to call them?"

Sapphire started thinking. "The scythe will be called Shimmering...Wave, the gloves will be Vice Grip and the Katana and Daggers will be...Demon Fang."

"Awesome!"

"Thanks....But I'll have to thank you guys for doing this for me." She puts on the gloves as the automatically locks on to her wrist. "...Neat, nice one Yang."

"Why thank you." She smirked at her accomplishment.

Sapphire swings the sword around a bit. "It's really light..." She commented.

"Light yet durable, so you don't have to worry if your sword will break during combat." Qrow told her making her nod in understanding.

"Sweet." She placed it on her side and placed the daggers in her belt.

"Come on give Shimmering Wave a try." Ruby said really eager but trying not to show it.

"But be careful Sapphire." Qrow warned.

Sapphire picked it up and transformed it into a scythe. "Hmm...heavy..." She thinks back to all the times Qrow trained Ruby with a scythe and tried to mimic it and succeeds. "I like it...no..." She looks and then smiled. "I love them all."

They smiled in return while Tai was watching from the doorway in silence.

"Which do you want to train with first?"

"The Gloves."

"Well that's me." Yang said happily.

"... And Tai..." Sapphire said as she looks at him.

"...Why me?" He asked.

"Simple, you taught Yang and well I guess I want to learn from the best..."

Tai then sighed. "But don't you ha-"

"Yes."

"But wh-"

"I already told you why...so will you help me train or no?"

"...Fine but after Yang teaches you everything she knows."

"Deal, come on Yang let's get to training!"

"Yeah!"
