POV Jack

I thought that I had seen a lot of bizarre things but when I first arrived to Hiccups village, it was sure something. Wherever I looked at, there were dragons -from really small ones and then to really big ones. I had never seen anything like it.

At first I couldn't really trust the people around here. It was like there was something in them that made me feel unsafe. Well, there were big men everywhere and things like axes and swords. And these people loved fighting with each other.

There was one place though, where I liked spending time. It was this big tree on the outskirts of the village. I really can't tell why but it reminded me of something old, maybe something that I really can't get back to.

"Glooming around again? Hmm... no wonder Hiccup likes chatting with you," Astrid's voice laughed and I glance down. She was standing under the tree branch with her hands on her hips.

I hop down and grab my staff and the sword which Merida gave me so long ago, I tie the sword around my waist and then I start walking beside Astrid.

"I was not being gloomy," I huff and frown.

"As you say," Astrid giggles and as the morning rises we go to the place where Hiccup and his friends train the dragons. The place was like a cage.

"Nice for you two to join. The sun has been up for one minute already. Didn't I say clearly that I needed everyone at sun rise?" Hiccup laughs and his shoulders really shake and I can see how Astrid looks at him.

Love. I can't really understand what that is but these two were engaged.

"Where are we going?" Fishlegs questions and pets his dragon. There was a baby dragon circling around him as usual.

"Well of course we are going to check out the newest island which we found before," Hiccup explains and shows us a map.

"I am not sure that it really is an island though" Astrid hums and crosses her arms over her chest.

"Well, it might be something else but we really need to check it out," Hiccup states "There might be new dragons in need of safe harbour."

"Shouldn't you stay in your village and guard it?" Astrid points out and everyone seems quiet for a while.

"No, uh... Berk is really a safe place" Hiccup hums and rubs his neck, "ah I trust people in Berk."

"Fine," Astrid huffs as she wasn't listened again.

Everyone knew that when Hiccup got something into his head, he wanted to pull it through. Even if the situation seemed bad, he found a way to solve it. That's what I had heard.

"So we will leave in an hour, get your things packed. I already have my bag, right buddy?" Hiccup cheered to his dragon.

I chuckle when Toothless makes a displeased sound and turns around, showing the full bags tied on his sides. He shakes his body and few items fall off, leaving the dragon much happier.

Everyone dodged the items that flew out from the bags. A frying pan flew past my head.

"Umm.. I guess that we don't need to fry fish today, well lets roast it on open fire," Hiccup chuckles and goes to pet his dragon.

"I can't believe that we have to skip breakfast for another stupid adventure,"Snotlout whined as he climbed on his dragon, taking a hold of the big horns of the dragons head and leaving.

The twins argued as usual as they went on their way. Only Fishlegs seemed truly excited about this. I guess that they were getting tired of going to find new places.

"Say, Hiccup... perhaps some areas are meant to be unfound," I say as I go to him.

"Well if that's the case we wouldn't had met you. Besides you were a great help when the ice dragons cave was about to collapse," Hiccup hums while looking up his map which was patched up from pieces.

"Yeah, well... I guess so, well lets see how your skills with sword are going. Show me some foot work," I grin and Hiccup snorts.

"Footwork? Dude, I have just one leg but oh well...fine...until others come," Hiccup laughs and tries to pull out his sword which gets stuck in his belt.

I laugh when his pants almost fell, it was hilarious to see him trying to tie them back up. When he was done with his issue he cleared his throat.

"So, that was embarrassing. But now I am ready," Hiccup cheers and lifts his sword. "Toothless," he says and the bored looking dragon puffs some fire into Hiccups sword, lighting it in fire.

I take out my sword and slide my hand over it, cooling the blade. Just in time I lift the sword up, blocking Hiccups attack. When our swords clashed some steam formed.

"Wow, so cool," Hiccup exhaled when he saw this for the first time . I push him back and he gets ready for my strike.

We keep practicing until both of us were catching our breathes. Hiccup leaned on his knees as he took out his water bottle. He took a sip and offered some for me.

"Thanks," I smile and grab it from him. He watches me while I'm drinking.

"I still don't know how you can do that... freeze things," he wonders and I flash a devious grin.

"Well, that's my secret," I wink my eye and return the bottle back to him. Actually I didn't know either.

I just have these hazy memories, they are like flashes which return into my mind in certain occasions and I desire them. My memories, I just want them back.Sometimes, when I am with a woman... I can remember some girl's smile or her voice...her dark hair. I can tell that I used to know her but not the relationship which I had with her.

And then there are these flashes of death. It is like a nightmare with everyone dead around me, on a battlefield and finally I fall as well, die alone.

"Jack?" Hiccup calls me and shakes me from my shoulder.

"Hmm? Oh, yeah... should we get going?" I question after I see that everyone had come.

"Yes! Time to explore a new place! " Hiccup shouts with excitement and climbs on Toothless.

Others were already on their dragons. I watch them flying up to the sky and then I follow them.

We flew over an ocean, to a bigger land. It really didn't feel like an island when we landed.

"So there might be ice wraiths in here," Hiccup spoke, "When I came here with Toothless few days ago we saw this icy beam."

"And now you tell us, man even my underwear is freezing," Tuffnut huffed and shook.

"Oh, but you didn't put on underwear," Ruffnut snorted and made everyone glance at each other awkwardly.

"Oh, right!" Tuffnut hums, "No problem then!"

"Well, lets divide into groups. I think that their nest is that way so ... Jack and I will go there, his skills with ice crafting will be a help . Astrid and Fishlegs will go to right to see how far this island goes and...well...uh...Tuffnut and Ruffnut, stay here to take care of the dragons and not cause any issues," Hiccup laughs at the last part nervously.

"HEY! What about me?" Snotlout exhales.

"Stay to watch Tuffnut and Ruffnut," Astrid says and winks her eye to Hiccup.

"Eh...that's not exciting," Snotlout mumbles.

"We will guide the ice wraiths here for you to stop," I chuckle and lean against my staff.

"So we're the final stop. Hmm... I like that," Snotlout grins and rubs his chin.

Hiccup shakes his head smiling and grabs my arm. We head towards the direction where he thought that the nest was. Toothless was walking beside us.

"Jack... are you sure that you'll leave Berk in a month...wouldn't you stay if we found an ice wraith? They are .... magnificent," Hiccup smiled slyly.

"Oh, so that's why you wanted to come...well... I could stay a bit longer but... I have my reasons to leave, " I say with a sigh. I hadn't told them that seeing them age wasn't something I wished to witness.

"Man, that's sad. Well, maybe because you tamed all the good looking girls at the village?" He says and elbows me, causing me to almost trip.

"Eh, no? Sorry but they keep having ideas, I don't plan to settle down...and it's not because I am a player or anything - Hiccup... I can't age" I tell him with serious voice.

"Mmhmm..."Hiccup hums and it seems like he isn't focused at all to what I am saying.

"Hey? Did you listen to me at all? I can't age," I say and step in front of him.

"LOOK OUT!" Hiccup yells and pushes me down. Toothless rans in front of us and breathes out his blue plasma ball which explodes with ice.

Ice?

I look towards the direction where Hiccup was staring.

"That's NOT a dragon!" Hiccup shouted and grabbed me, pulling me up from my cape.

"That's...." I exhale and tilt my head. It looked like a human...something like me. A woman?

"Toothless!" Hiccup screams when sharp ice wall was rushing towards us. Toothless melted it down with his breathe.

The woman was creating snow pillars from ground, running on them as she aimed her blast towards us again.

I fly up and stop her from freezing Toothless with my power. She was strong.

"Leave our kingdom, you demons," The woman roared and I try to fly closer.

"Who are you?" I shout and try to reach her.

"Jack get back here!" Hiccup shouted through an icy snow blizzard. I couldn't see him.

"The Queen of Arendelle, now leave before I freeze you down to your bone" She speaks and I feel myself being beaten down by something.

I stare at a gigantic looking human like snow statue as its fist is about to hit me again. I roll away and grab my sword, cut its fingers off.

"Jack!" I hear Hiccups voice and I try to look around. Then I saw the blue flame.

I feel an urge to go and chat with the queen, ask her if she knew what am I but I was worried of them, my friends. I fly towards them, through the icy blizzard. I found Hiccup shaking on the ground while Toothless was trying to keep them both warm.

"Let's go, follow me... lets meet the others and get you all out from here!" I yell through the storm and sway my staff when we were about to be hit by icy arrows. She was still onto us.

Toothless helped Hiccup on his back and we rush back to the way where we came from. They were already on their dragons, seeming really cold.

"We can't navigate through this snow storm we will die! And what in the name of Odin is that!" Fishleg shouted and pointed at the snowman.

"Let's talk later, fly and follow me out!" I shout and fly in the air, I distract the snowman to let Fishlegs have time to escape. Then I guide them away from there.

After half an hour of flying we got to a safe distance with no snow. We land down and they start making a fire on the ground of this small island which we found. I keep staring at the horizon, to the way we came from.

"T-that place is cursed," Snotlout spoke and shook.

Astrid had wrapped Hiccup into a blanket "For once I agree with you Snotlout."

"Yeah, what kind of monster man was that!" Tuffnut exclaims and sneezes.

"A cool monster man," Ruffnut nods her head and then sneezes as well.

Suddenly their two headed dragon sneezed as well and it was enough to blow up a nearby rock.

"No one can ever go there again," Hiccup spoke with his voice cracking. I look at him and see him ripping of a piece of the map and then he asks Toothless to burn it.

"Hiccup don't, I need to go there again" I tell him and try to snatch the piece of map.

"That being didn't want us there. It is too dangerous" Hiccup said and threw the map to air and before I knew it Toothless blew it up.

It made me furious.

"Jack?" Astrid whispered and touched my arm but I pull it back.

"How can you do that! She was at least a bit like me! " I shout.

"You don't try to kill people." Hiccup says seriously.

"How can you know! " I yell at him and freeze the fire. "I will find that place, you wait and see..."

"You mustn't it's too dangerous," Astrid pleads.

"Go on, do what you want- like a true viking guy!" Tuffnut cheers.

"The cool snow man will smack you like a fly...haha," Ruffnut chuckles.

"Good bye, " I hiss at them and run towards a cliff where I jump off.

On that moment, I didn't know that I would be searching for years to come...and still end up with nothing. Also, I didn't notice this darkness which was arriving to the world and would cause pain for everyone...

Well I hope to update the next chapter ASAP. My daughters bday party is next friday so I might not be able to write more before that.
