It was a Sunday Morning. She was sleeping with a smile on her face. Her hairs were falling on her face. She woke up when her phone rang. She looked at the ID and smiled. It was him - - Her Vineet . 

She immediately picked the phone. Before she could speak, she heard him asking her to get ready. He also told that he will pick her up from her home in one hour. She was left surprise.

"Vineet  ne mujhe wish nahi kiya. Wo mera birthday bhul gaya. Aisa toh kabhi nahi hua. Huh!! aise kaise kar sakta hai wo. Khair ready ho jaati hoon,nahi toh wo naraz ho jayega. “

She went to the washroom  and got fresh. She opened the wardrobe and took out a one piece dress. She smiled taking the dress in hand.

*Flashback Starts*

It was a day off and Ruhana  went for shopping with her friend,Shreya. They were searching for some formal dresses when Ruhana ’s eyes fell on a beige colored one piece dress. They asked the shopkeeper but he told that the dress was already purchased. Ruhana ’s face fell off while Shreya side hugged her, telling her that they'll get it some other time. Dropping Ruhana at her home, Shreya  went off to her home. She freshened up and sat down to relax when the doorbell rang. She opened the door and was surprised to find Vineet .
She let him in and then hugged him. He whispered in her ears…

“Ek cup coffee milegi kya? “ he asked.

Ruhana  parted the hug and looked at him.

“So mean! Coffee pine hi aate ho kya? “ she asked.

Vineet  smiled sweetly.

“yeah.. You have magic in your hands. “ he said while holding her hands and kissed on her knuckles.

She blushed at his act. She then went to prepare the coffee. He followed her inside the kitchen, they talked all the while she prepared coffee. They sat in the living room relishing their coffee. Meanwhile, He handed her a packet. She shot a questioning glance at him at which he smiled.
She opened the box and was surprised to find the same dress. She looked at him while he held her hands…

“ you wanted this, right!! I saw you looking at it but then purchased it. I wanted to give you a surprise. “ he said.

She was overwhelmed with joy that she hugged him tight and uttered “THANK YOU”

*Flashback ends*

She smiled widely as she remembered the incident.

“ Aaj sahi mauka hai is dress ko pehanne ka. Vineet  ko toh yaad bhi nahi hogi. Wo bhi surprised ho jayega. Shayad usey kuch yaad aa jaaye.”

She went to get ready. As she got ready, there was a knock at the door. She hurried to open the door as yeah, it was Vineet .

Vineet  looked at her and was mesmerized to see her  in that dress. She blushed as she noticed his stare at her. She called him and he came out of his trance on the second call. He entered inside with a bouquet in hand. He gave her the bouquet.

She took the bouquet and expected him to wish her but he didn’t. Vineet  smiled  as he noticed her sadness. He asked her to leave and she went inside to bring her purse. She thought…

“Usne toh ye dress bhi notice nahi ki. Wo kaise bhul sakta hai. I hope usey yaad aa jaaye.”

Outside, Vineet  was smiling….

“Mujhe pata hai tum kya soch rahi ho …..Par main kuch nahi bhula and I promise …..aaaj ka birthday tumhari life ka best birthday hoga. “

She came out after 5 minutes. He moved closer to her and whispered….

“you're looking gorgeous. “ he said.

She blushed.. “tum kuch bhool toh nahi rahe? “she asked.

He nodded negatively and dragged her out of the house. Ruhana  locked the door and sat beside him in the car. She gazed questioningly at him while he replied…

“planned something for you. You will get to know soon. “ he said.

Ruhana  smiled. In an hour , they reached the Lake view resort. It was Ruhana ’s favorite place. As they entered inside, the manager approached and gave him the keys to their room.
They ordered some food and went to their room. Ruhana  was  flabbergasted to see the royalty of the room. They talked, had lunch and then rested for a while.

Around 6 pm , Ruhana  woke up to the buzz of her phone. She read a message from Vineet  who was calling her to the terrace. Ruhana  agreed and hurried towards the terrace. As soon as she reached the terrace, she was surprised. The terrace was decorated like a hall with flash lites all around. There was a table set for two people and light music was played in the background. On the table ,there was a cake kept.Vineet  came and tapped her shoulder. Ruhana  looked at him.

“this is beautiful, Vineet . “ she said and hugged him.
He hugged her back and smeared her head. He hold her hand and took her to the centre where the cake was kept. She got surprised to see the cake. It was written “I Love You “ on the top of the cake.

She looked at the cake and then Vineet . He smiled and went on his knees.

“Ruhana …..yahi wo baat hai jo main tumse kehna chahta hu. Jaanta hu bahut intezar karvaya maine tumhe. Par darta tha…..darr is baat ka tha ki kahin main tumhari dosti bhi na kho du. Lekin mujhe ehsaas hua ki ye darr toh tumhe pa kar hi door ho sakta hai. Isliye aaj main tumse kehna chahta hu….I love you Ruhana !!”

She was surprised to see him like that. Happy tears leaked out of her eyes. She made him stand up and hugged him tight.

“Ye sunne ke liye main kab se taras rahi thi Vineet …..tumne toh mujhe mere birthday ka best gift diya hai….thank you. I love you too !!”

She said while cupping his face. She got on her toes and sealed his lips with hers. He responded with same love.
They parted from the kiss and Mitgi blushed.  She was happy  as she had got the most precious gift of her life.
