The Rainbow Deluxe Society is home to a CID officer, Vineet Kumar. He is a senior incharge of the CID team. His wife, Ruhana Kumar is a fashion designer and owns a boutique of her own. Their life is smooth, as everyone expects it to be. Vineet and Ruhana are a mad in love couple. They are childhood buddies. Five years ago, when Ruhana inaugurated her boutique  "Rooh's fashion hub", Vineet proposed to her and they got married.

Ruhana never complains about Vineet's job, nor does she coax him to spend time with her. She understands his duty as a CID officer and she respects his feelings. Being a police officer was Vineet's childhood dream. These two souls have been each other's support. There are times when they fall low, but they stand together with each other. That's the beauty of the love they share. There's no space for third person or any complaints. They believe that they have their own lives as well. But, they do talk about their works, their experiences, once they get into bed at night. They even help each other in their work. There are times when Vineet is worried because of cases, and Ruhana helps him, while he helps her in the development of their bakery.

The late night cuddles, his warm embrace, and two cups of tea or coffee, that's enough for both of them. Ruhana loves to sit beside him with her head on his chest, and his hand around her shoulders. She loves to hear the rhythm of his heartbeat, and it calms her. She feels very protective in his embrace, and Vineet loves to cuddle her close to himself.

Today is no special day. Vineet is driving back home. He's worried about his wife. It's already 11:30 of the night. Ruhana must be angry. But, he'll convince her. She never gets angry at him for his work. Yet, he is fearful. He remembers the happenings of the day.

It's Sunday, yet he had to visit the bureau. He's told that there is a confidential meeting that their boss, ACP pradyuman wants to hold. After receiving Sachin's call, Vineet sighs. He tells Ruhana about the same and she is irked.

"Eh! There's no case, then what's the use of the meeting??"  she asks.

"Ruu! How'd I know? I'll have to go and see." He says.

"Vineet!! Today is Sunday! ACP sir could organise the meeting tomorrow."  She whines.

Vineet sighs. He knows why she's whining. They were watching a movie and now he has to go. Ruhana doesn't like it if he breaks the embrace for any reasons. Sundays are made to relax and cuddle. On Sundays, or any other days, when he's  at home, she loves to cuddle with him, they relax, they cook together and they watch movies. She looks at him.

"Okay! Then you need to promise me that once you come back from the meeting, we will go out for dinner." She says looking at him.

"Okay! I promise. We will also go on the beach." Vineet says.

Ruhana let's out a chuckle and hugs him. He kisses her forehead softly and leaves for the bureau while she relaxes watching the movie.

It's been eight hours since he's away from home. He didn't realise the time. The reality turned out to be different. When he reached the bureau, he didn't find anyone. He called Sachin who called him to a resort. That's an all boy's party and it's Kavin's idea to call Vineet for a meeting. They all know how much he admires his wife and won't leave her and he loves to spend the time with his wife. He's fearful as it's past 11 pm and he promised Ruhana to take her for dinner and beach strolling.

With all such thoughts, he reaches his home. He parks his car and makes his way towards his apartment. He opens the door of his key. The house is pitch dark. A part of his heart wishes Ruhana to be asleep by now. He enters the house with cat paws, yet her voice leaves him startled.

"Done with your party??" she asks.

He turns towards her, there is Ruhana standing, in his favorite outfit of hers. It's a long gown that he got for her on her birthday. It seems like she got ready waiting for him. Vineet looks at her fearfully.

"Why are you silent? Tell me what did you do at the Royal Plaza Resort?? What kind of meeting was it? Have you seen the time?" she shouts at him.

He knows she is angry. Though he didn't know the reality, but, he should have come early. He looks at her.

" How do you know? " he asks fearfully.

" Just like you told me that ACP sir called a meeting but you went to Royal Plaza. Arey! Mujhe bata dete. Rokti nahi main tumhe!!" She says angrily.

"I didn't know it, seriously. Sachin called me there. I really thought there is some meeting."  Vineet reasons.

"Oh please, Vineet!  I don't think you were unaware of it."  She snaps at him angrily.

"Ruhana, you know I don't  lie. Kavin made this plan. I scolded him, but he's like, it's right thing. Atleast you are here." he says.

Ruhana glares at him. She can't believe his words.

"Okay I agree! But you could call me afterwards. But no! Your phone is switched off. Main yahan 8 baje se tumhara wait kar rahi hoon, ready hoke baithi hoon. Kitne phone kiye, har baar switch off." She says angrily.

" it's your life,Vineet. Main tumhe rokti nahi jaane se. If it was a plan, toh tum mujhe call kar ke bata dete. I won't have fought with you. Instead, I'd have planned dinner with Sneha. At least, I'd have enjoyed my Sunday night too. " She says angrily.

Usually, Ruhana is not angry. But, today there is a valid reason. Both Ruhana and Vineet give space to each other. Sometimes, when Ruhana has a meeting with some clients, since she is thinking to increase her business, Vineet never interferes, so does Ruhana. She never accuses him of leaving home at midnight or coming home at the same time. But today, her friend's call made her angry. Her friend saw Vineet at the Royal Plaza, and called her so that they can meet. Since then Ruhana is in anger. Vineet is astonished at her anger. He tried to pacify her.

"Ruhana listen to me  please!" he says.

"what should I listen? Have I ever stopped you from going anywhere? Nahi Na!! Then why did you do this? Don't tell me, Kavin switched off your phone. If battery was dead, you could have used someone else's phone. But you didn't. You were so engrossed that you forgot the promise you made. ". Ruhana shouts at him.

Vineet sighs. He knows he is at fault. He wanted to call Ruhana but the battery of his phone  was dead. Moreover, getting busy with his friends, he forgot the promise he made to Ruhana. Her anger is justified.

" Haan, mujhe acha nahi lagta jab Sunday ko ya kisi chutti ke din, you make some plan. That's because I want to spend that time with you. Tum sath hote ho, toh aur kuch nahi chahiye hota mujhe. I only asked for dinner because it's Sunday. We could have spent some time together. Isliye nai ki tum mujhse chhupa ke party karo. I can also do the same. But I don't,vineet. " She says angrily.

" I agree that you didn't know about it, but you could have informed me. Why didn't you?  Answer me! "  Ruhana demands.

Vineet is silent. He knows he is at fault. He has to do something to make up for the fault today. He looks at her.

"Sorry Ruhana. Waqt ka pata hi nahi chala. I'll make something for you today. I'm sure, tumne kuch khaya nahi hoga." he says.

Ruhana glares at him.

"I don't want to eat anything, Vineet. Tumhara intezar kar ke hi pet bhar gaya mera." She says angrily and moves inside the room.

He follows her inside the room but she throws a pillow on his face. He's shocked.

"go and sleep on the couch. And I  don't want to listen anything." She says and closes the door on his face.

Vineet sighs and knocks on the door.

"Yaar! Please don't do this. You know I can't sleep without you." he almost pleads to her.

"No ways, inspector Vineet. Today, you're gonna sleep on that couch." She responds from inside the room.

Vineet sighs and sits on the couch. He knows she is very angry,and he has to do something to convince her. He has to make her believe that he didn't want to hurt her. He falls asleep these thoughts.

Next morning, he wakes up to steaming cup of coffee on the table. He smiles. Maybe, she is not angry anymore. He finds her coming out of the kitchen.

"Ruhana.." he calls her name.

She glances at him, but doesn't give him a chance to speak.

"Breakfast is ready. But I am late. I have a meeting. " She says.

"But its you who serves breakfast for me." he reasons.

"No! You can do it yourself, Vineet. When you can forget your promise, I can skip serving you with today's breakfast. You can do it." Ruhana reasons and moves inside the room.

"Okay! We'll go for dinner today!" he says.

Vineet can't bear Ruhana's anger. Whenever she is angry or her mood is off, she replies rudely to him. He can't take it anymore. He has to do something, he knows. He looks up but she's gone inside the room. He follows her and finds her getting ready.

" You leaving early?". He asks.

"Yeah! I have a meeting. But, don't worry. Your breakfast is ready. My client wants to meet early. So I am leaving." She says, her tone is still cold.

"I'll drop you." he says, maybe, he feels that he can convince Ruhana.

"Not needed, Vineet. Now, I have to find my ways. I can't depend on you." she says with a light smile.

He knows she is hurt. Though he was unaware, but, he could call and tell her the reality. If he had done so, she won't have been angry. She never shows how hurt or angry she is, but today she is showing the same. Because she also deserves his time. He knows how he cuts the parties of her friends just to be with him. He clearly remembers the day when she denied going with Sneha for shopping and lunch. Her point is that she needs time with her husband too. Being a police officer is hard. But she is trying to match her pace with him. So, he deserves her anger after the last day's incident. He sighs and looks upon her but she has left the room. He is surprised when she says that she'll be late in the evening too. Vineet is sad. He has to cheer her up, but how! Moreover, he has to leave for bureau. It's not Sunday anymore. He takes a shower, gets ready and leaves the house  without having anything. This happens when the two of them argue or there is some tension on their minds.

The day passes in a blur. Vineet is in thoughts about how to convince Ruhana. Something strikes his mind, maybe that will make her happy.

On the other hand, Ruhana closes the boutique and leaves for home. She is still angry on Vineet. Though, it's not a big issue, yet she thinks  that he should understand the importance of the promise he made to his wife. She reaches home and it's almost 8pm in the night. She opens the door with her keys and enters in. She makes her way towards her room. She switches on the light. He's not home, so she decides to take a shower. She has a tiring day at the boutique. As she keeps her handbag and  files on the table, she finds a small packet on the table. It's gift wrapped. She is surprised but unwraps it. She finds a small stuffed toy in the box. It's holding a heart written "Sorry".  So, it's his plan. She keeps it on the table and walks into the washroom to take a shower.

After twenty minutes of hot water shower, she dresses up and moves out of the washroom. She is surprised to see a large sized cream color teddy bear sitting on the bed. A rose bouquet is placed in the bear's hand. She is sure, it's Vineet. She smiles a little, but she wants him to know that she is trying hard to be with him and he should do the same. She smears the bear's head when his deep voice falls in her ears.

"Sorry, Love!!" he says.

Ruhana looks at him. He smiles at her. His smile is charming as ever.  She turns to the other side while he places his hands on her shoulders. 

"I'm sorry,Ruhana. I know I was wrong. But, don't get this angry. You know, I can bear anything but not your silence and anger." he says softly.

" What did you do  yesternight?"  she asks while breaking his silence.

"I am sorry. I know you take out time for me. I should have taken care of the time. Your anger is justified. But forgive me, please." he apologises.

Ruhana doesn't reply.  He pulls her towards himself such that her back collides on his chest.  She tilts her neck to watch him.

" You know I can't stand through your anger, love. Please! I understood what bugged you yesterday. I promise it won't happen another time." he says.

Ruhana looks at him through the corner of her eyes.  His deep voice and genuine tone tells her that he is really sorry. He wants to make up with her. He looks at her innocently.

" You have to promise me that you will not do anything of that sort again. I mean if you need some time off, you can go but don't break your promises. Because, it will break my life then." She says.

He makes her turn towards himself and touches her forehead with his.

" I promise, it won't happen.. On holidays, I'll be all yours. " he says.

Ruhana smiles at his words and then hugs him, finally. Well, she can't stay away from him. When he's doing so much to convince her, she had to agree to the man she loves. He breaks the hug and kisses her forehead while she closes her eyes
This is a moment that makes her feel at peace. She wishes that the moment stops and she gets a chance to be in his arms for an entire lifetime.

"Now, let's eat something. I can hear your tummy growling." he says jokingly.

Ruhana glares at him.

"I didn't eat anything because of you, idiot!!"  She says.

He laughs as he leads her way to the dining table. She's astonished when she finds that he has arranged a candle light dinner  for the two of them. A delicious aroma is spread in the environment. She can make out that he has cooked the special dinner. When did he get the time? Oh! He can do anything when he has to take care of her. She smiles at his efforts.

"When did you do all this?" she asks while looking at him.

He smiles. Her smile widens with that. It's this smile of him that melts her heart every time. Even if she gets angry, he smiles at her and she loses herself.

"If it's for you, I can do anything, Ruhana."  he says.

She looks at him for a second and pecks a kiss on his lips.

"This is why I love you, Vineet." she says.

"you can't stay angry with me!" he says raising his eyebrows at her.

"Yeah! If I hadn't been angry, you won't have cooked my favorite dishes." She says and giggles.

Vineet smiles. Yeah, there are times when they pamper each other. She shops for him, he cooks for her. He protects her while she cares for him. That's how their life goes. Today he cooked for her, only to make her happy. She's touched. He is admiring her while she is checking the dishes and serving on the plate. There is Italian pasta, and some Indian cuisines. She fills a spoonful of pasta and forwards her hand towards him. She asks him to have it and then they begin their dinner, feeding each other.

A little while later, they're in their bedroom. Vineet is sitting in the bed, a remote in his hand. He calls for Ruhana…

"Ruhana! What are you doing?"  he shouts for her.

She peeps through the dressing room.

" Why are you shouting!" She asks.

" you were angry, but now you're not. Now please end this distance.." he says making the most innocent face.

She giggles at him. He's being impatient and wants to cover up for all that he left undone yesterday. She ties her hair and then makes her place on the bed. He pulls her by her hand, and she climbs up over him, placing her head near his chest. She closes her eyes hearing his heartbeat. He kisses her head. This is a peaceful moment, they both are lost in. They don't need words, only the silence and the thumping heartbeats are doing all the talking.

She looks up at him and kisses his head. It's her way to confess her love for him.

"Now you should finish of what you left undone yesterday. It's time for your punishment." She grins at him.

He raises his brow at her and she tickles his neck. He lets out a chuckle and asks her to stop, but she unnuttons his shirt and continues to tickle him. He holds her hands and pulls her close such that their faces are only a few inches apart. He grins at her while she makes a hurt face. He tilts her head and seals her lips with his in an instant. Ruhana is shocked at his move, but she begins responding to him. It seems they both are desperate for this moment of love and closeness. Their soft kiss turns into a passionate one.  He deepens the kiss while she trails her hands in his hair. He bit her lower lip such that she groans into his mouth. He enters her mouth and begins to explore her mouth while his hands trail through her curves. She moans as he deepens the kiss. She  is the first one to break the kiss when she's out of breath. She hugs him back kissing on his neck.

" I love you, Vineet!" She says huskily, inhaling his manly cologne for another time.

He embraces her in his arms and kisses on the top of her head reciprocating his feelings. She smiles as she looks back at him while he rolls over, making her lie on the bed, and they get immersed into the land of love, where there's nothing but pure love.
