She's descending down the stairs when she saw someone waiting for her in the hall. He's talking to some other person. That's her  manager. She walks towards them and the manager greets her. She's Ruhana Bisht, a well known businesswoman. She's risen from bits and now rules the business world. The manager informs her about the meeting schedules and takes his leave.

Ruhana checks her watch and orders her maid to bring two mugs of steaming coffee. She looks at the guy who's been watching her continuously. He's a friend since the beginning, and he never leaves her side even when she's a big businesswoman now. He is  Vineet Khanna,Ruhana's childhood friend. He is a businessman as well, but he's not a pro. He's a normal person setting his business. 

Ruhana glances at Vineet. 

"What brings you here Mr. Khanna?" she asks. 

Vineet smiles..

"I came here to meet my friend." he replies politely. 

Ruhana glances at him.. "Why can't you leave me alone?" she asks. 

Vineet looks at her in disbelief. "Gimme a reason why should I leave you? I'll give you ten for not leaving you." he replies confidently. 

Ruhana shook her head and looks at him. 

"As if you don't know the reasons. Stop acting so innocent. And why would I need you? I'm all good by myself. I can take care of myself as well. " Ruhana replies carelessly. 

Vineet read the change of emotions on her face. He knew the reason of anger behind those words and he could also see the longingness for some love as well. He also knew that she won't admit to his words. 

Well, she didn't pay attention towards him. Neither in childhood, nor in the present. They are childhood friends. Ruhana has always been an ambitious child, and she believed that she could buy anything with money. The day her father left her alone for some unknown woman, she wanted to be the richest. She thought she could even buy love with money. Vineet tried to convince her that it's not true but she never believed him. 

His trance broke up  with her voice. She's calling him with his name. 

"I'm asking you something." Ruhana says while looking at him. 

"what?" he asks. 

"What about the foreign deal?" she asks. 

He thinks for a moment before replying. 

"I don't know. They didn't call back." Vineet replies while shrugging her shoulders. 

"You should have checked." Ruhana glares at him. 

"They'll reply by themselves." He says calmly. 

Ruhana glances at Vineet. She needed the deal, for, it'll add more worth to her goodwill. She's only seeing the profit out of it. Why won't she? She is a money minded person. Vineet wants her to look away from money and think something good, but she's not ready for that. 

" You need to check with them Vineet. You are working with me. And you need to do it my way. I don't afford a No, and you know that." Ruhana says sternly. 

He sighs. He knows it would be hard to get her down. She won't understand him and his feelings. She won't understand his way of working. He just nods his head to her words. Meanwhile, the servant served the coffee. Vineet glances at Ruhana. She's sipping her coffee and looking at her phone. A smirk is playing on her lips. She looks at him. 

"Globus deal is mine now." She smirks while looking at him. 

He sighs. He wants her to be grounded. He didn't want her to run behind money. He often tried to explain but she never listened to him. He glances at him. 

"Why don't you leave all this, Ruhana?" he asks for another time. 

Ruhana glances at him. Her eyes reddened suddenly. She's filled with anger. She fisted her hands. 

"If I'll leave this, everyone will leave me. Just like Dad left. You know Vineet, money is everything.i want to earn more and more." she says. 

Vineet is rooted to her place. He knew that she can't have anything with the money. She needs love and she can't buy it. His trance is broken up with her laughter.. 

" it's money Vineet. You're with me. Afterall you also need money.. And who'll invest with a starter? I am doing it with you. So many people are behind me. They want to marry me. I can have everything I want. I don't need anything but money. It's like everything happens in a moment, if you have money. "she says with a smile. 

Vineet sighs. He's angered with her thoughts. But he didn't say anything. He moves closer to her. 

" You'll regret your doings Ruhana. I'm warning you. " he says and left the house. 

Ruhana shakes  her head at his words. It's not that she is unaware of his words. It's just that she doesn't want to understand the depth of his words. For her, money is important. She watches him go and smirks. 

" I can't change Vineet.  And you also, can't change me now." she murmurs to herself and leaves for her office. 

A few days passed since this incident. Ruhana has grabbed the foreign deal and is now dealing with a famous multinational company. It's the richest company in the city and Ruhana believes that dealing with them will give her more popularity. 

Where there were many followers of her work, there were those people who always tried to put her down. They knew her background and  for that, they chided her that she used her best friend's name and fame for all this. She's blamed for her hook ups with her best friend's boyfriend. She's on her way for the conference when she met Amy, her best friend. Well, nothing is the  same as before between the two. 

They smile at each other and asked their well being formally. 

"I'm all well. Well, today's a day to grab another deal." Ruhana says confidently. 

"Your habit of being overconfident hasn't changed Ruhana." Amy comments. 

"that's confidence, Amy. If I hadn't been confident, I've not been here." Ruhana says with a smile. 

"Yeah , it's the best thing you can do, of using people. Like you used me." Amy says. 

Ruhana angered on another accuse. 

"I didn't use you. You never understood me Amy. I wanted your help. Yeah I wanted to be rich and I am the same. I don't think it's wrong in any way." Ruhana says aloud. 

"Yeah! Why would you feel so? You never paid attention to anything except yourself." Amy taunts at her friend . 

"it's useless to talk to you." Ruhana says sternly and left the place leaving Amy alone. 

After the conference,Ruhana seemed happy. She calls Vineet and asks him to meet her. He agreed to meet at her home. She reached home and asked her maid to prepare coffee as Vineet would be reaching any time. She changed into her casuals and began waiting for Vineet. She's looking through her mails when something caught her eye. She jumped with happiness and at the same time, Vineet enters in. She hugged him out of excitement. 

"What makes you so happy?" he asks in his deep voice. 

She jumps apart and looked at him. 

"leave it. You'll say it's not right." she says. 

"I don't support the wrongs, Ruhana. You know it very well." He says while looking at her. 

"Yeah yeah. You love being that simple guy." She says. 

Vineet shook his head.

"I'll always want good for you Ruhana." He says and he meant those words.

He has always cared for her. People have nudged him for taking sides with the most rude and arrogant girl, Ruhana Bisht. Even Amy had told him to leave Ruhana's side, since she thought that Ruhana used her and is now on the top of the business world. But all these things have never affected Vineet. He is not only a friend to her but he loved her. But Ruhana is so mad about being rich, that she neglected his love and overlooked him. But he never overlooked his duty towards her as a friend. 

His reverie is broken by her voice. She seems happy and it seems that someone has invited her for something. She disconnected the call and looks at him.. 

"There's a party in Taj International Hotel. We are invited there." she says. 

"Yeah. I also got a call in the morning." Vineet informs. 

Ruhana looks at him.. 

"Yeah! Another deal to be bagged. The owners of Globus international wanna do the  meeting tomorrow." She chuckles. 

"But we decided that we won't deal with them. They aren't trustworthy." Vineet retorts. 

"What makes you think so, Vineet? I think they are quite good.. Moreover, they want to deal with us. So what's the problem?" She asks. 

"It's been so many years that you're in business Ruhana. Still, you don't know who's right and who's wrong? They wanna deal so that they can earn and then drop the deal." Vineet says getting raged. 

"Nothing like that will happen. Keep your knowledge to yourself Vineet. I don't need it. I know what's wrong and what's right. " She shouts at  him badly. 

Vineet looks at her. 

"You'll regret it! And it will be you who'll come to me then." he warns her and left her house. 

Ruhana is raged at his words. She didn't want to listen to him. She calls her manager and asks him to keep the papers ready as she had a meeting the other day. She didn't like delays in her business. 

The days passed. She bagged the deal with Globus international and she is elated with it. Vineet has warned her but she didn't pay heed to him. The deal is done and the day of the party was arriving soon. 

Ruhana woke up in the morning. It's a Sunday and she is relaxed. She had planned some time for herself before the party that night. She  decided to call a salon service at her home. She picked up her phone when something left her shocked. There's a message from her bank saying that a big amount of money is withdrawn from her account. She calls the bank for the details and is shocked to learn that the money is transferred to the accounts of Globus international. She panicked and made a call to the company but no one received her call. She callw the client who came to deal with her, but unfortunately, they also didn't answer back to her. 

Meanwhile, she received a call from another client who bashed her for not making the payment on time. She askes for some time as she was out of money. But it didn't please her client. He asks to make the payment. Not a few days have gone by, and Ruhana is helpless today. She is out of money. Her other accounts are sealed. Her business is overtaken and she is empty handed. She approaches  a few other friends for monetary help,but they didn't pay heed to her. It's a tit for tat situation for her. 

Ruhana is shocked as they were the same people with whom she had done a lot of deals, but they don't want to help her. They also taunted her for her past. She is left shocked and angry. But she composed herself and decides to give a visit to the party since the party is organized by a friend. She thought of asking help from her friend. 

Hotel Taj 

She reaches the hotel and entered inside after showing the pass. She felt strange stares at her which made her uncomfortable. She is searching for her friend when she heard some whispers. People are talking about her. The bad that happened with her, and that she is bankrupt. The people were her business clients and some of them were her friends as well. She even heard them saying that it was destined to happen with her. She never heard anyone. We won't help her. These were the talks in the party. 

Water wells up in her eyes. It's certainly a defeat for Ruhana. She left the party without talking to anyone. She had never paid  heed to anyone around her, not even Vineet. She has always run after money and now she is left empty handed. Her business is shut, money is gone. Even the people whom she considered her  friends are faking the friendship.  She was on the top in the business world and now, she's thrown on the floor. Her name, goodwill, everything is lost. 

She reaches home amongst these thoughts and rushes to her room, closing the door with a bang. The taunts of people are piercing in her heart. She even remembered what Vineet said. 

"why don't you leave this? Live with what you have." 

"I don't support the wrongs, Ruhana." 

"You'll regret it and come to me later." 

He had said these  words and she's certainly regretting her doings. The taunts of people were echoing in her ears and hurting her badly. 

"it was to happen with her. She has used so many people." 

"She's a gold digger. Only money matters for her." 

"she's so proud. We're not helping her. She deserved all this." 

Ruhana breaks into tears putting her hands on her ears. She has certainly fell on the ground like a leaf falls from a tree. She hadn't expected it all, but it happened. Noone is helping her when she needs it. 

Meanwhile, the door of her room opebs and Vineet enters in. She wipes off her tears while he gave her a meaningful look. 

"You should have heard  me. I warned you already." he says while sitting beside her on the floor. 

"But you didn't listen. See what you did. You've lost everything that you have. Even this house." he says. 

She looks at him in shock. This bungalow will be auctioned the next day. He tells her that the person who overtook her company will buy the bungalow. She broke into tears. Whatever her ways might be, this house was brought from her hard work. Vineet held her arms, she hugged him and begin crying. He hadn't seen her crying like that. But today, she is broken, completely broken into pieces. 

He hugs her and smears her back. 

"You still have an option. Follow my words. I will help you." he says . 

She parts the hug and looks at him. She isn't sure if Vineet would help her. She has never paid heed to him but he's here by her side consoling her. 

"I've hurt you.. You will still help me?" she asks. 

Vineet smiles. 

" I will. You are still my best friend." he says emphasizing on the last two words. 

She's staring at him. She thought he'd also leave her alone. 

"The people whom I helped, don't want to help me. People never return the favor. I didn't even listen to you. You still believe me?" she asks in a teary voice. 

He smiles. She has finally realised what she's been doing and she has realised her mistake as well. He wipes her tears. 

" Money isn't everything Ruhana. You have gold inside you. You are capable of earning it. But it doesn't mean that you'll run behind the money. You made fake relationships. You trusted the  wrong people." he says. 

"And I didn't took you seriously as well. Hai na!" she asks. 

He shook his head. 

"I didn't worry about that. I was worried for you. You can't buy relations or love with money, Ruhana. I know bad things happen but you're not destined to hurt people and also yourself. It's good that you have realised your mistake." he says. 

She held his hand. 

"I'm sorry. I'll do as you say." she spoke like a little kid. 

His lips quirk up into a smile. 

"then let's do something big, but together this time. What say?" he asks while forwarding his hand. 

She kept her hand in his, completely surrendering to him. She has fallen from a high level and she needs someone to take hold of her. And Vineet is the right person for the same. She hugs him promising that she will listen to him. She's looking forward to dig gold again, but with her love this time.
