EPILOGUE
Sanskar snaked his hands through his wife's waist from back and placed his chin on her shoulder, both facing the mirror.
"You look gorgeous Mrs. Singhania" he whispered in her ears sending shivers down her spine and laid a kiss on her bare shoulder as she involuntarily closed her eyes.
"You don't look so bad yourself Mr. Singhania" she said turning in his embrace and dangling her hands around his neck. "The few grey hairs and spectacles hadn't effected you." She smiled that smile which always made his heart skip a beat.
"How fast the time flies." He said his eyes staring into a distant memory. "I can still feel myself holding her in my arms for the first time and now look, she has grown so big that it's time for her wedding." His eyes glistened with tears thinking about his little princess.
"Hey... It's okay. It's not like she is going somewhere. She is going to start a new life with the man she loves. And I don't think she will want that with tears in her Pa's eyes." She said adjusting his kurta and he pulled her closer to himself.
Just then the door to his room burst open and in came Arvi totally vexed. Her features instantly softened seeing her Pa who lifted his head up from staring at her Ma's portrait on their table.
"Were you talking to Ma?" It wasn't a question she needed an answer to. She stood beside him as they both gazed at the portrait. "I miss her. I really do." She said breaking the silence. "I know. I do too." He replied swinging an arm around her shoulder.
"You know she hasn't gone anywhere. She's right here with us. Here." He said pointing to his heart as he faced his daughter.
"Now, tell me why you barged into my room like a raging Bull on your wedding day." He asked making her sit on the bed. Immediately her features changed to being angry.
"Arnav. He is irritating me. And I swear to god Pa, I'll make him count stars in daylight if he..." She didn't get to finish before Arnav walked into the room along with Ayansh. Arvi immediately stood up and engulfed Ayansh in bear hug and elbowed Arnav in the ribs.
"Now. What was that for?" Ayansh asked with an amused smile as Arnav's face contoured in pain.
"He was annoying me, Ansh bro." She said sticking her tongue out at her twin.
"What! I was just stating facts." He said still rubbing his ribs.
"And what would that be?" Ayansh raised an eyebrow in question.
"That once she is gone, I'll have the full house for myself and that Pa loves me more."
"See na Pa." Arvi whined like a 7 year old and Sanskar couldn't help but smile at their childish banter.
"All of you are equally dear to me. There's no need to fight over that." He stated with a chuckle. "And we all are gonna miss you. Terribly." He said gathering all the three children into his embrace.
"I hate to admit this. But Pa is right. I'm gonna miss you." Arnav spoke as his eyes turned teary.
"Oh my god. Ansh bro, look at this, Arnav is actually crying." Arvi screeched grinning.
"Pfft. In your dreams." Arnav waved it off and the rest burst out laughing.
"Come on now. It's time to get you to your groom." Ayansh said as they led the bride outside.
"Yeah. I can't wait to get rid of you." Arnav said walking beside her, throwing his arm around her shoulder.
Sanskar was last to exit the room and as he glanced at the photograph of his wife he had a longing smile. He felt as if she was smiling back at him.
"I love you. Forever and always." He whispered and felt the gentle breeze through the window that touched him. And it felt as if she was saying it back to him. Forever and always.
