Bio:
Growing up in a poor household in Yokohama, Japan, Hinata Matsumura has had a bad childhood: his parents were abusive alcoholic and drug addicts that they had no regard for their son and the only time they ever acknowledged him was when they had tickets to a NJPW House Show.
Throughout the show, Hinata never had a chance to enjoy himself. He was basically his parents' slave and whenever he made a mistake, his mother or father would scold him and beat him out of spite.
During a match between Minoru Suzuki and Hiroshi Tanahashii, Hinata's father punched his son, but he was caught by Suzuki himself. He gave Tanahashii the go home signal and they finished the match, but Minoru wasn't happy.
He immediately grabbed a mic at ringside and started yelling in Japanese, pissed off at Hinata's abusive parents.
"Hey assholes!" That got the parents' attention, but they laughed it off. "You think beating your child is funny, cute, or adorable? Well, it's not to me!"
The parents kept laughing since they're so drunk that he was pissed at what he was seeing. "Yeah you heard me! You keep laughing so stupidly and I'll drag you to the ring and I'll beat your asses! And I don't give a fuck if you're a girl, you bitch!"
The fans applauded as Minoru kept talking to Hinata's parents.
"I will have no problem beating you with a chair, I will have no problem beating you with a kendo stick, I will have no problem putting you through a table, and I will have no problem beating you with my fists! I won't allow you to beat this kid anymore you drunk and abusive sons of bitches. If you want to take out your anger on someone, how about you fight me and see what fucking happens!"
The man and woman were so drugged up and drunk that they replied, "Sorry, we ignored what you said. It reeks of wanting attention!"
Minoru was so enraged that he went out of the ring, still with the microphone in his hand and yelled with such anger: "Yeah, says the abusive parents who take out their anger towards this young man right here! If I see you anywhere near him again, I will beat your asses personally, and I'll enjoy every minute of it because seeing this young man hurt is infuriating to me!"
The crowd cheered so loud that Minoru gestured security to help Hinata over the barricade and was held in Minoru's arms.
Hinata was just upset and crying about the broken jaw that Suzuki actually rocked him back and forth, patting his back, and shushing him and calming him down.
Suzuki was calming the kid down until the father said, "You can't take away our son! Who the fuck do you think you are!"
Minoru looked back at the parents, smiled, and mocked them, "Sorry, I ignored what you said. It reeked of wanting attention."
Everyone laughed as Hinata was taken to the hospital where it was confirmed that his jaw was broken.
Minoru was outraged by the results that not only did he sue Hinata's parents for his custody, it was a successful lawsuit and Hinata got to live with Minoru a week later.
Soon after the win, Minoru trained Hinata in MMA and professional wrestling at the New Japan dojo in Tokyo, giving him the chance to be a pro wrestler while giving Hinata the life he never had. Whenever his newly adopted son wanted to talk, Minoru would always listen while giving him some fatherly advice.
After two years in the dojo, Hinata finally made his debut, winning a match over Shinsuke Nakamura, which was considered a huge upset to the Japanese wrestling audience.
Taking up the last name of his father figure as a wrestling name, Hinata dominated the light heavyweight division, racking up wins over Prince DeVitt, AJ Styles from Bullet Club, Kenny Omega, and the biggest win of his career was when he defeated Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship in a stunning upset.
Soon, Hinata was pushed to superstardom that the fans were behind him after he became a new member of Suzuki-Gun, making the group more dominant than ever.
Although Hinata would lose the IWGP Championship, he would bounce back by ambushing Tetsuya Naito, challenging him to a match for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship, which Naito would accept.
After a grueling 45 minute match, Hinata would capture the title and bring legitimacy back to the title. He would hold onto it for almost 2 years before dropping it to "Switchblade" Jay White.
In 2018, he went through a change when he wanted to have an entrance song that would sound similar to Minoru's but he would find the song in "Red Swan", the theme song for Attack On Titan's third season. The song was so beautiful that he thought it was perfect: get into the minds of his opponents, making them feel secure, and then kill them with no remorse.
The song was taken very well by the Japanese audience, that Hinata's plan worked, making him a G1 Climax Tournament winner, but when he refused to wave the flag that was intended for him, he waved the flag of Suzuki-Gun.
Eventually, Hinata would travel to America, going to Indie promotions to try his luck and every match he was in, he would come out victorious: making wrestlers tap out or pinned.
Whenever he was not wrestling in America, Hinata would practice his English, learning so much that he would take it to heart whenever he could
After a 6 month tour in America, he went to AJPW, where he would become a four time NEVER Openweight Champion and a five time Triple Crown World Champion.
Soon, Hinata would be personally invited by Tony Khan of AEW to tag with his best friend, who he would frequently tag in intergender matches in Stardom, Riho...
