Peace at last 

I remember a time,

when life was unkind.

I could see no light,

just darkness day and night.

I thought I had lost you forever,

that we would never be together.

The day you went away,

I remember begging you to stay.

But you had a job to do,

and that I knew.

So I let you go,

on a journey unknown.

Ten years has past,

you're home at last,

and finally......

my heart is at peace.
