Part of my job here at the Pub is to guide and inspire. I thought this poem would fill that bill nicely.

Bill

Myself

I've looked at all the options

Weighed the good and bad

The directions I can follow

The experiences I have had

.

Listened to what people told me

Heard what others have preached

Saw the merit in some words

Others were simply out of my reach

.

Read the books before me

Learned the history and such

Realized the good in many

But the strife was simple too much

.

So I stopped listening to others

Put the books back on the shelf

Decided before I believe in something else

I am going to believe in myself
