Birdie's POV ~ Lemon

A few hours after You left and the crew came back on the ship, Kai leaned uncomfortably close to the cabin’s door.

He knew better than disturb his captain on a night like that.

The men had a little habit, when Kid was in his worst days: someone stayed close enough to his room or his workshop, so he could warn the others in time if Kid got out in murdering mood.

Being a particularly bad moment, the top ranks took a random younger member and placed him in front of the captain’s cabin. Plus, most of the pirates wanted to be alone, that night.

That was some bad luck for Kai.

He sighed.

Honestly, he felt bad for his captain, but there was nothing he could do.

Something cracked, in the darkest corner of the isle.

He jumped, senses immediately tense.

Nobody was supposed to be there.

Was someone trying to sneak-attack their ship? Some Marines maybe? They were on the island, after all.

An indistinct figure moved closer, and Kai lost no time: he tackled it, pointing a dagger on their throat.

«Who the hell…»

His roar faded in a low mutter when he found himself staring at a known annoyed expression.

«You’re a very efficient guard dog, Kai.» you mumbled from the ground.

«Y/n!» he choked «I though you… wha-what are you doing here?»

You were wearing a bunch of dark civilian clothes, too large for you, and a hat that covered most of your face. At least before Kai straddled you, sending it flying somewhere.

You quirked an eyebrow at him.

«Do you want to sit on me for the rest of the night or am I allowed to stand?»

«Oh, of course!»

He jerked up, blushing lightly, and you did the same, quietly dusting your big coat.

«What are you doing here?» he asked, now in a lower volume.

«The official excuse is that I’m here to put a good word for F/n.»

«Are you going to st–»

You placed a hand on his mouth before he could finish.

«No. It’s just for tonight.»

Realization entered his eyes and he nodded, so you released him.

You hinted at the cabin’s door.

«Now go, I can take it from here. And don’t tell anyone that you saw me.»

Kai sighed and briefly rubbed your arm, before disappearing below deck.

You took a deep breath and approached the door, knocking twice. Then, you slipped in without waiting for a reply.

Once inside, you immediately dived on the floor to avoid the flying knife.

«WHO THE FUCK–»

«Always a pleasure.»

Kid's mouth snatched closed when his blazing eyes landed on you.

Trying to ignore the heart pounding in your chest, you forced your lips to bend in a cocky smirk.

«Glad to see you didn’t change, Eustass fucking Kid.»

His gaze narrowed dangerously, and you gulped.

Maybe I’m overdoing it, this time.

«What’s the deal with those ridiculous clothes?»

«The deal is not being recognized while I sneak on your ship.» you scoffed, then your expression changed in a more malicious one «Also, you should probably know that I’m not wearing much under this co–»

Before you could finish your sentence, the pirate jumped on you, blocking your body between him and the wooden wall, his metallic hand restraining you while the flesh one tilted your chin, forcing your face to meet his.

His hot breath blew on your face, mouths inches from each other.

«I don’t know who you think you’re dealing with, birdie.» he hissed, as the words died on your tongue «You sneak on my ship at night, naked, and alone. What’s keeping me to just take you captive once again?»

His voice made every centimetre of your skin shiver.

«I-I…»

«Why should I let you go?» he breathed on your lips.

«I…»

It was impossible to say anything more, because he captured your mouth with his viciously.

You dwelled into the kiss, almost desperately, arms grasping around his solid neck.

Without pulling away, Kid lifted you and dropped you on the bed.

His metallic hand abruptly tore the coat apart, revealing that you were indeed wearing very little beneath it. Just a pair of panties.

He hissed, quickly losing his pants.

You were scared, but also extremely excited. Your whole body was shivering madly at the sole idea of having him inside you, once again.

He entered you abruptly and you sank your teeth in the muscles of his shoulder not to scream.

It was painful, but it also shook you so deeply that for a second you dreaded to cum immediately.

Kid started to thrust in and outside you, unable to restrain his desire further.

He chuckled, relaxing on the mattress.

For a while, your panting was the only sound in the room.

When you felt you had enough oxygen in your lungs, you quickly rolled, straddling him all of a sudden.

The surprised look in his amber eyes made you excited.

You bent over to pull his goggles away, and he took the chance to take a bite of your breast.

«Hey!» you squealed.

«You should know by now that monsters bite, Y/n.»

His amber eyes were filled with lust, and now rebel locks fell over them.

He scoffed.

With a quick move, the redhead reversed your position, pinning you to the bed.

A few hours later, you were resting on Kid’s chest, breathless, and probably dehydrated.

His arm was secured around your waist, while your fingers absently traced the borders of his scar.

He huffed.

«Don’t go all needy maid on me now, woman.»

«Needy maid?» you scoffed, lightly punching his abs.

He just chuckled.

«So?»

You pouted, averting your eyes.

You felt his body tensing slightly under you.

«You were right. It is stupid.»

«Eustass.»

He sighed, moving his metallic arm to cover his eyes.

«What do you want me to say, Y/n?»

Your heart sank in your chest.

«I know. It doesn’t matter.»

But he felt your figure stiffening in his arms.

«Yes, there were a couple of women.» he slowly said «But it was brief, and joyless, and I only did it to see…»

He hesitated.

You peered up at him, leaning on his pectorals.

«To see?»

He grumbled something incomprehensible, eyes still covered.

«Kid!»

«To see if it helped.»

«Helped with what?»

His flesh hand quickly moved to your face and he pushed you on your back beside him, muffling your protests.

«You’re gonna make me say it, aren’t you, woman?»

You pulled his hand away.

«Yep.»

Kid peeked at your face.

You were smiling now, a soft smile that made him grimace.

He snorted, turning his head to the other side.

If it was for that smile, maybe he could do it.

«I fucked some random women to see if it helped with the fucking horrible feeling of coming to this bed and…» he grit his teeth «and finding it empty. It didn’t work, anyway.»

His words made your stomach clench.

You climbed over him, fingers gently tilting his chin so he faced you again. He kept his eyes stubbornly fixed on the wall.

«I couldn’t sleep for a month after leaving your ship, Eustass Kid.» you whispered «Even now it’s difficult.»

His eyes moved on yours. The look was so intense you could hardly breath.

«Then st–»

Your mouth snatched on his lips.

«Don’t.»

Despite all your angry effort to keep them back, you felt the tears filling your eyes.

«Please, please, don’t.»

He slapped your hand away and brusquely grabbed your hair, forcing your head back so he could tower over you.

You gasped, but he didn’t care.

«Y/n.»

He hissed your name like it was the most painful thing in the world.

You bit your lip.

«Yes.»

«You made me promise I’ll become the Pirate King, didn’t you?»

«Yes.»

«So now you make me a promise.»

He moved his grip, coarsely cupping your cheeks and pressing his forehead against yours.

His amber eyes locked on yours and you got lost.

«I don’t give a fuck about pirates, marines or the rest of the world.» he hissed in your face «When I become the Pirate King, you’ll be my Queen.»

You choked on your breath.

It took a few moments to absorb his words.

When you did it, your hands crawled on his.

«I promise.»

Kid was waken up by a quiet bustle in the cabin when the night was almost over.

Squinting in the dark, he identified your figure sliding inside the big coat, or what was left of it.

«Are you sneaking out on me?»

You turned with a small smile.

«Before you imprison me again.»

«I could.»

«Well, the second time would be harder to explain to Akainu.»

He sat on the bed and you kneeled on his lap, arms surrounding his broad shoulders.

«Shit, I almost forgot! I came to tell you something.»

He tilted his head, frowning.

«Yeah, that’s why you came.»

«Of course! What were you thinking, that I came for your body?»

He rolled his eyes as you giggled.

«I forgot how much you talk.»

«Anyway,» you cleared your voice, tapping a finger on his purple lips.

Til he bit you.

«Ouch!» you squealed, retracting it.

Kid gave you one of his devilish smirks, and you had to look away not to falter.

«As I was saying… I need to ask you a favour.»

«What is it?»

You moved your eyes back to him.

«Don’t punish F/n.»

He frowned.

«Just this once?»

«She disobeyed Killer’s orders and acted against my will, fully aware of it.» he growled.

«I know, I know. But… thanks to her I got to spend the night here.»

Kid huffed, scowling.

«Plus, hurting her, you’re gonna hurt Killer. And he looks… happy.»

«We are on a fucking pirate ship, for fuck’s sake!»

«Look what happened to me last time I was on one.»

He glared at you, but you answered with a cocky smirk.

«Pretty please?»

His eyes sharpened.

«You’re so gonna regret your cheeky attitude next time we meet, birdie.»

«Is that a yes?»

«Just this once.» he said, grabbing your cheek between his metallic fingers «If she fucks up again, she’s out.»

«Thks.» you tried to say, although he was squeezing a little too much.

He released you, abruptly turning his back at you.

«Now go, before I shackle you to that beam.»

You took a deep breath, trying to swallow back the knot in your throat.

«Yes sir.»

You covered yourself the best you could, lowered the hat on your face and reached the door.

«Birdie.»

You stopped. He didn’t add anything else.

You smiled, unable to fight back the tears, again

Because it was always like this, with Eustass Kid. There were some words he wasn’t able to say out loud. But you were always there to hear them.

«I know.» you whispered «I do too.»

You quickly slid out of the cabin, closing the door behind you.
