Scar is incredibly immune to sunburned but Grian doesn't know that and keeps telling him to put his clothes back on.

Scott has llama ears and they indicate his mood. Up is happy, down is sad, folded back is scared etc.

Ren and Martyn have matching bracelets.

Last Life

Scott, Pearl, and Cleo have matching ankle bracelets.

Southland's spyglasses have little key chains with their initials on them and Martyn and Mumbo keep getting theirs mixed up.

So, first I'll address the curse we all know and love. The canary curse. Jimmy is often portrayed in media as having canary wings no matter what series he's in. This is due to the canary curse. But what is the canary curse?

Well, the idea stems from the coal canaries. These are canaries that would go down into the mines and sing for the miners. Once the canary had stopped singing, the miners knew to get out due to the toxic air the coal mines bring.

Jimmy was always the first one out in the life series. And, soon after, the others would fall down, one by one. The similarities between this and the canary is almost creepy.

Canaries have been used in media before, and the most likely will until media is no longer a thing. One incredibly well done version of this is in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, where Wiress, the tribute from District 3, kept saying 'tick tock'. But once she stopped singing, the group knew there was trouble brewing. Katniss said "Our canary had stopped singing."

Now, majority of the fandom presume that, after Lizzies death in Secrew Life, the canary curse had passed on, seabling style. But, in my eyes, that's not the case. After all, Jimmy did die right afterwards.

In my eyes, Lizzie has the crow curse. This stems from the fact that Lizzie was forgotten about the whole season, and she was also forgotten about a lot of Last Life.

This lead to her being forgotten by the gods as well. She was so ignored that the gods of the series forgot about her and killed her first, because they didn't realise the username at the bottom of the list was real, and thought it a mere bug in the code.

But, the name doesn't come from nothing, for crows represent death, danger, misfortune, and illness but also rebirth, self-reflection, intelligence, and loyalty. The death and misfortune a crow represent also represents the misfortune bestowed upon her with the curse. She didn't want forgetting, but the world has its ways.

Also the name goes really well with Jimmy's.

And, finally we have my favourite of them all. The miner curse. Bestowed upon our favourite, mustached, restone man. The miner curse stems from his last words in both the series he's been in.

They both had something to do with Jimmy's death, which, in both series, came just before his.

The poetic injustice of this really tickles every part of my little lizard brain. Just like a loyal miner will follow his canary, never wanting to leave its loyal companion, Mumbo followed Jimmy. The fact his last words were calling for his canary, lost to the wind, gone forever really put the cherry on top of the intricate Web of metaphors here.

I also really like the miner curse name for Mumbo because I PUT MY DIAMONDS OVER HERE!
