Cary Strand is doing some paperwork, as where one of his best friends, Jake Peralta, comes to Cary's desk.

Both Jake and Cary were best friends during high school, and where the two are mostly known for their "nerdy hobbies", and where Cary is known for being the "shy technical analyst", while Jake is the loveable, yet chaotic detective at 'Brooklyn 99.'

"Hey Cary, how was the technical going?" Jake asked the blonde technical analyst.

Cary looks at Jake, where his blue eyes turn to Peralta's boy.

"Oh, everything is good, it's just where -" but Jake cut Cary off.

"What?, your boyfriend or girlfriend text you?" Jake asked Cary in a teasing way.

Cary shakes his head, "My mom, where she is texting me if I'm okay."

Jake gives him a "Oh" look before mouthing, "Okay...okay."

That is where their boss, Capitan Holt, comes to the police station hall.

"Okay, everyone, there is a new case about a robbery near downtown, I need some volunteers to check it out." Holt said to the team.

Jake raises his head in excitement as the woman in a ponytail, Amy Santiago, rolled her eyes, in annoyance by Jake's acting.

"You, Peralta." Holt said

"Yes!" Jake shouted in excitement.

Holt continues, "and...Santiago."

"Wait, what?" Amy looks in confusion.

"I need you two check on the crime scene, and Peralta, don't do anything stupid over there." Holt said

Jake salute, "You can count on me, sir!"

Holt rolled his eyes and left.

"I wish you luck on the case, Jake." Cary smiled.

"Yeah, and one day, maybe you can be a detective too, Cary." Jake responded back.

"Maybe...." Cary said to Jake, who leaves with Amy behind him, still in annoyance.

Cary turns back to his computer and shakes his head.

"Not really."
