I had just arrived at the ministers third cousins mansion to guard his family. Esdeath had left earlier that evening. Tempest was in my shadow. As we got close to the mansions front door I saw the family the minister's third cousin and his wife and daughter.

Before I could speak up I heard tempest voice in my head.

Tempest: I smell the stench of blood on them as well as somewhere near by.

My eyes widen hearing that.

Me and my soldiers walked up to the family. The ministers third cousins smiled at me.

Ronald: hello you must be captain y/n. My name is Ronald and this is my lovey wife maya and our daughter Susie.

I sat in front of the family studying them carefully. They seemed to show no signs of worry or fear. The butlers came in with multiple trays of food.

Maya: I hope you don't mind but we asked our cook to prepare a meal for you all.

I looked at the food in front of me I could faintly make out the scent of Paralysis powder.

I noticed calin and the others staring at me. I shook my head no.

Rene: we are fine but thank you.

Y/n: besides why would we eat food that's been drugged??

I glared at them.

You lift up your right hand and show them Esdeath said mark. There eyes widen in shock.

Maya: wa.....wait that mark it can't be.

The three of them grew pale in fear.

Suddenly tempest appears in his full height snarling at the family.

Tempest: master I followed the sent of blood to a hidden chamber in the basement. It's littered with corpses.

I star at the three of them coldly my men drew their weapons at them.
