Chapter 41

It feels heaven, holding his hands.

Akala ko tapos na? Akala ko tapos na ang nasimulan naming kuwento? Bakit dinugtungan?

"I won't leave you again, Sky. I am trying to save us. Please do love me," he asked, his voice pleading like wishing something impossible to happened.

I smiled at him and pressed my lips before I spoke, "But you don't have to try, Prince. Alam mo bang may masasaktan kang tao kung ililigtas mo ang meron tayo?"

He just cried, kneeling while holding my hands. His tears were dropping on the ground. "No, she knows  you're my love. And Amari is an emophile," he explained.

Hindi ko alam kung maniwala ba ako sa kaniya o hindi. But Amari is really obsessed to him. She loves Prince. She loves the man I loved.

Sebastian watching at us. Hindi ako natuloy dahil hiniling ni Prince na mag-usap kami. I supposed to chose my decision but my heart won't let me.

"Amari loves you—"

I didn't finished my words when he stood, pulling my nape and pressed his lips onto mine.

I was like reminiscing our past but it finally happened again today. His kissable and smooth lips landed on my lips which made me frozen for a while.

He distanced himself from me and smiled. "How dare you leaving me such easy, Sky? Didn't I told you that even the coffee got cold, I'll stay in my place. But why are you leaving away from me? Hindi ako umalis sa tabi mo, Sky. I was staying by your side but here you are now, trying to fly away."

The sky becomes gray. The sun was hiding behind the thick clouds, a sign that later on, the rain will pour.

"Bakit ayaw mo na lang ituloy ang relasyon niyo ni Amari? Why are you even courting her if you would not be able to fill your responsibility?" He neared me even more, his breath warmth my whole body.

His gazed was fixed on my eyes. "Because I thought she was you. I was in comatose when she entered into my life and disguise as you," he told me that while hands trying to prison my palm on his hands. "Mabuti na lang at nakilala ko ang kapatid ko, nagkausap kami...at marami siyang ipinakitang litrato sa 'kin tungkol sa atin. That's why I am trying to search you."

Sa pagkakataong ito, lumapit si Sebastian sa amin at niyaya kaming pumasok sa kotse niya. Dahil madilim na rin ang kalangitan, kahit na maraming tanong pa ang gusto kong itanong sa kanila, agad akong sumama sa loob ng sasakyan.

"Ngayon, alam mo na, Vina? I am Lavince Sebastian Cordovan. Adopted son of Fremont's family. And now...I want to stay by your side, protecting both of you." Sebastian tapped my head.

Prince looked his hands which was landed on my head and gently caressed it.

"Can you please remove your hands from her head, Sebastian?" Prince brows creased.

"Gusto mong pakainin ulit kita ng kamao? Katulad no'ng ginawa ko sa 'yo sa loob ng dalawang taon, ha?" Umambang suntukin ni Sebastian si Prince na nag-d-drive ng pigilan ko siya.

I caught his fists thus his attention drawn to me. "Pigilan mo ako."

"Anong ibig-sabihin sa mga sinabi mo, Sebastian? Ikaw ang psychologist ni Prince no'ng nasa France siya dahil unstable ang isipan niya? Does it mean...ikaw rin ang dahilan kung bakit kilala niya ang pangalan ko pero kahit nagkabanggaan kami no'ng isang araw ay hindi niya ako nakilala?"

"Omsim." Sebastian nodded.

"Paanong nakilala ni Prince si Amari? Pero ako... hindi?" Sinapo ko ang dibdib ko at ibinaling ang tingin kay Prince.

"She's one of the Phoenix, Sky. Sinundan niya si Prince which supposed to be Thalia. But...they exchanged mission. 'Yong balitang na-crash daw 'yong airplane ni Thalia? Hindi totoo 'yon. Amari paid the media to spread fake news. Pero huwag kang mag-alala, mamayang gabi ang party sa bahay ni Prince, may pasabog ako." Sebastian smiled hysterically.

I bit the bottom of my lips and nodded.

"Hindi mo ba ako tatanungin kung anong nangyari sa 'kin sa loob ng dalawang taong unstable ako?" Sabad ni Prince sa amin.

Tumawa si Sebastian dahil sa naging tanong ni Prince. He even covered his mouth and shoulders were shaking.

"Why are you laughing, Lavince?" Prince stopped the car and looked at Sebastian intensely.

"You're acting like kid. Shouting for Levina' s name. Duh!" Sebastian rolled his eyes and Prince slapped his arms.

"You're embarrassing me, Lavince. Honestly, hindi ko talaga alam kung ano ang mga ginagawa ko no'n, eh."

"Tiklop ka na sa kaniya, Lev. Parang siyang bata no'n." Iniinis talaga ni Sebastian si Prince kaya ayon nga, namumula na.

Nagulat ako nang biglang itinulak ni Prince si Sebastian at itinuro ang upuan sa likuran. Tumango naman si Sebastian pero natatawa pa rin. Hindi ko na alam kung ano ang nangyayari.

I heaved a sigh and tightened my grip on the edge of my shirt. I looked at him who's eyes was glued to me.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" Kung makatitig kasi siya, parang may dumi sa mukha ko.

I checked myself on the mirror but I saw nothing. Pinunasan ko ang mukha ko gamit ang panyo sa bulsa ko at bumaling sa labas.

"I love you," he said, almost whispered. "I love you, Sky."

Parang no'ng unang araw, hiniling ko lang na marinig ang mga katagang ito. Pero ngayon, sinabi niya sa aking harapan mismo.

I smiled secretly and rested my head on the headboard.

Mabilis lang ang oras at nakarating kami sa isang lugar kung saan parang pamilyar sa akin. When I roamed my eyes around, I saw the Golden Tower which paused me for a while.

I looked at Prince who was silently following me, as so Sebastian.

"Do you know that love full of mystery?" Sebastian suddenly spoke.

I shook my head.

How can I say that it really was if I cannot even figured out if this things happened in my life are mystery. Kung makatanong, wagas.

"I don't believe in mystery—"

"Nasabi mo lang 'yan kasi ilang beses kang nakaranas ng kahirapan, eh. Gano'n din ako, Lev." He cut me off.

Prince fake a coughed and stood beside me. "I do believe in mystery. Dahil kahit ilang beses tayong pinaglayo ng panahon, nanatiling ikaw pa rin ang nasa loob ng puso ko, Sky." Sabad ni Prince habang nakahalukipkip. 

Sebastian laughed and put his hands below his chest. He looked at me, teasing. Ang lalaking 'to talaga! Wala nang ibang trip kundi asarin ako!

"Alam mo...miss ka na ni Prince," he said and poked my cheeks.

Hindi ko na siya pinansin nang naagaw ang atensyon ko sa babaeng nakatalikod sa amin, nakaharap sa paglubog ng araw. She looks so familiar to me but...I am not sure if it was her.

When she turned her eyes to me, I closed my eyes while my heart aching in pain. Bakit siya nandito? She supposed to rot in hell! She was supposed to be lost in my eyes! Bakit ngayong nagkausap ulit kami ni Prince, 'saka siya bumalik?

"Are you 'kay, Sky—Sky! What happened?" I heard Prince panicking when I fall down to my knees. The wind blows coldly and embrace my body which is now shaking in fear. I was trauma! She punished me and Evo!

I smiled at Prince, cupping his cheeks. I feel Prince embrace, his warm hugs and finally, his lips landed on my lips.

Before I closed my eyes, he spoke, "Sky...what happened? Are you really planning to leave me, huh? What are you doin'?"
