I sat down on the steps of the school, looking up at the sky. I wasn't inside with the other hosts, but I just needed some fresh air away from civilization, being alone for a bit. I sighed, a puff of air coming out of my mouth and creating a small cloud in the cool weather. I shivered as some wind blew through my short hair, sending chills down my spine. "Hey, Ryu, why aren't you inside?"

Karou's voice resonated through the slightly chilly air, and I sighed, shaking my head. "I should ask you the same thing, Karou." I complied, looking over towards him with amusement adorning my facial expressions. He chuckled, and leaned against the railing next to me, staring up at the stars. "Tonight's beautiful, isn't it?" He asked, and I nodded, sighing. "It's...perfect, like nothing can touch the night to make it any better than it is."

More puffs of cloud came from my mouth as I spoke, the corners of my mouth twitching, but they stayed in their frowning position. A song came on, Fireflies by Owl City, making me mumble the lyrics quietly, then said, "Wanna go inside? It's kinda chilly out here." He nodded agreeing with me, walking inside the highly energetic women and men. I stayed silent, looking forward, then sat down by the piano, the room shushing as I started the first note. I was currently playing Waltz in G minor, people started dancing, or they just swayed to the music, having a fun time with friends, or their lover.

I finished the song in a little bit, and bowed as people clapped for my wonderful performance. I walked down from the pedestal, and headed to a secluded room, but got pulled back by Haruhi. "No way are you leaving this place. Come on, let's get to a corner." I sighed, and followed her, my eyes casting over Karou's, making my cheeks flush a bit.

"So, I got a question. How many times have you sneaked a glance to Karou today?" Haruhi asked, and I blushed, looking anywhere but her eyes. "U-Um....37..?" I answered a bit embarrassed, and she smiled. "You should go talk to him, tell him your feelings!" I trembled at the thought, but exhaled, and turned around, and saw Karou, who had probably heard the whole conversation.

"Ryu, may I talk to you in private?" Karou asked, a small blush dusting his cheeks, and I nodded, my face beet red. Karou led me through the crowd towards the outside door, and I played with my thumbs in nervousness. "S-So....you heard everything...?" "Yep." "A-And how do you feel about it...?"

"Pretty good. I love the reality that my crush likes me back." He smiled as he said this, and hugged my waist, pulling me towards him. "Ryu, will you please be my girlfriend?" I was at a loss of words, and only nodded, smiling a goofy smile, that one that never ever showed. Karou blushed and kissed my cheek, running inside. I stood there with my hand over the spot on my cheek, and my smile resided, but, Damn, was I happy as a gopher.
