You and the others duck out of sight hearing grinding metal. "How did he get ahead of us?" You whisper.
"Did you think that maybe there's more than one?" Baby5 murmurs.
"One way to find out." You smirk and step into the hall, spotting the Scytho. "Hey best friend!" You call and it spins around as Baby5 and Law gape at you. Kid snickers quietly as a string of foreign words leaves the alien. "It's him!" You tell them running down a different hall with them.
"Why did you think that was a good idea?" Law questions as you glance back as the scythe blade barely misses your head.
"I didn't... I just wanted to see if it was him." You respond sheepishly, pushing them forward and ducking as the Scytho slashes at you again.
"What makes you think it's a him?" Kid inquires.
"Look at those muscles! And he doesn't sound feminine." You respond. The team reaches a bridge and run on swiftly. Something large lands just behind the group and you glance back as the alien looms over you, flames flickering under cracked skin.
"Awesome..." You and Kid breathe.
"Run!" Law says as He pulls you and Baby5 back. The team starts to run away as the Scytho attacks the giants back. You peer back and stop as the aliens turn on each other and start to fight. "___! Let's go!" He calls at your back. You don't move as you watch intently. The Scytho maneuvers onto the giant's shoulders, slashing the back of it's neck and hopping off only to get caught right as the giant staggers and falls over the railing.
"Hey!" You gasp running over as the scythe blade hooks onto the bottom of the bridge, starting to melt it. You move under the railing reaching for the Scytho as it clung to its scythe. "Take my hand." You implore it. The Scytho looks at you, obviously hesitating.
The scythe melts through the bridge and you swiftly grab onto the hilt, letting out a hiss from the heat. "Come on already!" You tell it. The Scytho grabs your wrist, taking the scythe from your grasp as you grip it's arm, hauling it up onto the bridge.
"Are you crazy!? That thing tried to behead you like four times!" Baby5 scolds.
"Yes." You respond, standing up. The Scytho straightens watching you, Law and Kid aim their guns at it in warning. "See you around." You wave with a smile before turning to leave. It says something making you look back. It steps forward, gripping your upper arm. You blink and grasp it's in return. "Yeah. No problem." You chime before you both let go and you walk back to the team.
"You're something else." Law breathes, relaxing as you reach them.
"I told you I liked that one." You glance back at the Scytho.
"Look at you, making monster friends." Kid chuckles putting an arm around your neck.
"To think you were the first one I befriended." You shoot back, pushing his face away.
"That's cold ___." He chuckles.
"Good thing we're on a fire level then." You hum.
"Yeah, maybe it'll thaw your ice cold heart. But then again, you think being on earth would've helped that."
"You wanna make something of it Kid?" You turn on him. Law and Baby5 blink in surprise while Kid becomes serious.
"I do since no one else seems to want to say anything to you, or ask why the hell you chose that dead planet over your so called friends." He replies.
"I didn't! There's nothing for me out here." You growl.
"Oh so everyone is nothing." He snorts.
"You know that's not what I meant Kid!"
"You might as well mean it, how long has it been since you left Earth last? Do you even think about us-" You punch him in his gut, cutting him off.
"There was never a day I didn't think about everyone." You murmur before stalking off. Law swiftly follows you.
"Are you okay?" He asks softly.
"Does it really bother everyone?" You inquire looking down. Law pauses before offering a smile.
"Not if it makes you happy." He murmurs, knuckles brushing your cheek. You meet his gaze, biting the inside of your lip. If only he knew.
"We should hurry-" The door closes before you reach it.
"What the hell?" Kid huffs.
"Did anyone touch the button?" You ask looking around for one.
"No. He must've closed it since someone shot down their main camera." Law comments.
"That's what he gets for being a shitty host and making us..." You look down before gritting your teeth and shooting at the door. The others take a step back, sharing a look. Your gun runs out of energy so you throw the gun at the door and it bounces off and hitting Law in the head. You glance back and freeze. "I-I-I am so sorry Law!" You gasp turning to him panicked.
"Remind me to stand further back next time you're venting." He breathes holding his forehead.
"Sorry... I'm so sorry..." I whisper hugging him. He blinks before hugging you back.
"It's okay. It didn't hurt that much.." He assures. You pull back to look at him, eyes drawn to the red bump on his forehead. You cover your face.
"I'm a horrible person..." You whimper. "I can't believe I hurt Law..."
"___..." Law tries to soothe.
"Man that looks bad, you shouldn't fall asleep anytime soon." Kid smirks. "You might have a concussion."
"Horrible... Horrible..." You'd sink down while the other two glare at Kid. "Go on without me..."
"___... I refuse to leave this place without you." Law states firmly. You pause and blink looking up at him in surprise, he stares back serious.
"Okay... Then let's get out of here." You murmur standing up. He smiles and nods taking the lead.
Kid nudges you at that and you blink at him when he smirks. You smile and look down, leaning on him. "I can't believe this is still going on. It's been years." He mutters to you. Meeting his gaze you knew he was thinking about a certain day.

"Kid!" Your call caught him off guard. He blinks and raises an eyebrow at you.
"___? What's up?" He inquires as you reach him.
"I need your help!" You pant as you catch your breath.
"You need me to kill a man." He guesses smirking.
"No... I need you to get Law out trouble." You breathe. Kid scowls and turns to leave, you swiftly move and cut him off. "Please, it wasn't his fault! Someone framed him. If he goes to jail he won't be able to become the doctor he wants to be." You plead. Kid meets your gaze sharply.
"Look, the only way to get that shit removed from over his head is to place the blame on someone else. And I don't feel like going through the trouble to decide who." He growls lightly trying to get past again but again you cut him off.
"Then put the blame on me... Please. I'll do anything." You grip his arm lightly. He meets your gaze at that, frowning heavily.
"Tell me the truth. Why are you trying so hard for him?" He murmurs. You shift starting to blush before swallowing and looking back at him.
"Because I'm in love with him and want him to be happy." You confess quietly. He closes his eyes at that.
"Dammit.... Fine I'll help you, there's someone I've been wanting to put in jail anyway. But you owe me one thing." He decides.
"Okay! Thank you so much! I'll repay you!"

"Maybe I should've requested more of a payment if I knew you would be single this long." He comments quietly. You elbow him in the ribs.
"Shut it." You blush looking forward again.
"I'm just saying, it's a shame you've gone so long without someone showing you the affection you deserve." He says rather loudly, looking at the back of Law's head. You pale slightly and give him a warning look but he isn't paying attention. "Maybe I'll whisk you away after this bullshit since everyone else is too stupid to make a move."
"Kid...." You start.
"I'm serious ___. Haven't you been alone long enough?" He frowns at you. You just couldn't understand why he cared so much.
"Look... I'm fine on my own, don't worry." You murmur looking down. Law peers back at you briefly.
"Hurry up, we're coming close to the boss room." Law says swiftly.
"I just hope this isn't like last time...." You say looking down at Drake's knife and gritting your teeth. "No, I'm not going to let that happen again." You growl as you pass between Law and Baby5. "You hear me Doffy!? I won't let you break up my team! We're going to escape!" You call, glaring at the cameras.
"Damn straight!" Kid rumbles in agreement while Baby5 pales and Law smirks.
"My my, you sure are spunky today ___." Law comments making you blush a bit and smile.
"Yeah, spunky..." You chuckle sheepishly, but honestly, you've been wanting to destroy shit this whole floor.
The team enters a massive room that held another burning forest habitat. "This.... Is bad, I don't see any crates...." You murmur as the floor shakes from something large moving.
"Should we split up or...?" Baby5 looks around.
"We'll stay in pairs, let's go ___!" Kid says breaking away.
"Right, be careful you two." You touch their shoulders before joining Kid.
"Be careful ___!" They say together as you separate.
"Shit it's hot." Kid growls as you both maneuver around the trees in search of crates.
"Its not so bad... But why isnt there any smoke?" You mutter looking around.
"Well, I visited a planet like this a back, they're not really wood, they're some sort of stone that is constantly burning. There was also this huge creature... I think Killer said it was a Pyrotitan? Anyway, That creature liked to eat the stone to make itself glow brighter in order to find a mate." He recalls easily. Your brows raise in surprise at that. He glances at you and smirks. "Apparently I'm good at remembering facts about some aliens. He shrugs as you both find a crate, taking the guns.
"I'm really impressed Kid. Somehow I knew you'd be fine no matter where you ended up. I always did admire that about you.." You comment as you both continue. He pauses at that and looks at you.
"You know, I was always jealous of him. Everything you were willing to do for his sake, and he never noticed... It pisses me off that he let you go. I wouldn't have." He admits adjusting the gun settings and making it glow brighter. You didn't know how to respond, he knew and went with it, adjusting your gun as well. "It's really too bad you'll always..." Gun blasts make you both look over, sharing a look before rushing toward the sound. You both enter a clearing behind the giant alien and freeze.
"Shit that's huge..." You back up firing at it.
"That's a Pyrotitan! Guns won't work on it!" Kid tells you as the alien turns on both of you.
"Then what do we do?" You ask running out of the way as it strikes the ground near you. You fall over but Kid swiftly pulls you back up.
"We either put it out with water or make it blowup." Kid says pulling you along to the tree covers.
"Oh wow, that sounds easy." You say sarcastically. He chuckles at that.
"Careful ___, I like it when you're sarcastic." He says looking around. "So you fire at those pipes up there for water while I find more crates for explosives. Sound good?" He asks. You nod starting to fire at the pipes over the Pyrotitan's head. "You look amazing with a gun beautiful." He adds as he leaves you alone.
"Still the same guy." You smile a bit. One of your shots connect and some water pours out but not nearly enough, most evaporating before it can touch the Pyrotitan. It's attention is drawn to you as you attempt to make a bigger hole. You didn't notice it swiping at you until you're grabbed from behind and pulled to safety. You blink back at the Scytho at that and smile. "Thanks!" You chime. It rumbles and gestures to a tank type thing you didn't notice before that sat in the ceiling behind you.
"You're a brilliant creature!" You grin as he hops out of the way with you as the Pyrotitan tries to attack you again. You fire at the tank making more water gush out, hitting the giant alien in the chest. Steam fills the area and the Pyrotitan's glow slowly dies. You grin and turn to the Scytho, holding out your arm and gripping forearms with it.
It says something to you but you don't understand. "Um.... Yeah you take care." You smile pulling away as Law the others find you, blinking at the Scytho.
"Alright. I guess we didn't need these explosives after all.... That kinda sucks...." Kid looks down at the exploding discs he carried. You smile and go over, touching his arm.
"You can bring them to the next floor." You assure, making him light up.
"Oh yeah! Awesome." He chuckles.
"Alright, lets get to the safe room." You hum as Baby5 and Law take the lead. Before you can reach the door, Kid pulls you back gently. You look back at him in question and he smiles giving you a kiss. "K-Kid..." You murmur blushing.
"What? That was uh... Thank you for being here." He chuckles. "And I figured I'd steal a kiss since he's too dumb to do it."
"Law's not dumb and youre crazy."
"Sweetheart if chasing after you is crazy then I'm completely insane."
