It's been so long since you decided to salvage what was left on earth. Everyone else had fled from the planet to go live on Mars or further into space, meeting some aliens along the way. You chose to return here because you were trying to get something like a life together for yourself.

The suit you wore to protect yourself from the growing sun's harsh rays glints again trying to blind you through the mask lenses. Scoffing, you duck into a building swiftly. Yeah, some life. You search the house for anything mildly useful. Instead you find an anniversary coin and stop, turning it between your fingers.

How was everyone? Those people you always called friends before you took different paths. Well, yours wasn't really a path... More like a hole where there was too much heat and light or so damn cold everything froze over. The only solace was the line in between- the only thing you looked forward to nowadays was that short moment of the day.

"___!" The mechanical cry jolts you out of your daydream and makes you jump, nearly dropping the coin.

"What?" You growl at the droid in slight annoyance.

"You have a transmission from Mars!" He tells you. You pause before smiling widely and bursting out at that, running for base. Was it him? You shake your head at that. No, probably her, he never calls, ever. You go into the anti ray and freeze building, tossing off the mask before sitting in front of the screen and answering the transmission to find a familiar beautiful Raven haired woman.

"Hey." You smile at her cheerfully.

"Hello ___, ready for girl's night?" She inquires. You smile, fishing out your wine bottle from your fridge and holding it up.

"Always." You hum. She giggles lightly and you raise an eyebrow. "What?"

"We're not doing this again ___." The strawberry blonde pokes her head into view, giving a mischievous smile. You pause before hearing a ship land outside.

"You..." Your eyes widen as a vacuum tube appears through the window. "A-at least let me grab some clothes- Aah!" You gasp getting sucked up and into the ship. You hit the couch and sit up as the girls smile at you cheerfully.

"___!" Vivi cheers coming over and hugging you along with the others. You blink and swallow hugging them all happily.

"Wh-what's all this? You inquire.

"We've missed you! So you're coming to stay with us!" Nami smiles cheerfully as some of your things get vacuumed up as well.

"I-I can't the sun gets bigger every day and I have a lot of important things to salvage--" the sound of a coin skidding across the floor immediately draws you attention. Robin leans down and picks it up as you shift.

"Important like an anniversary coin?" She hums looking at you. The other two grow silent before smiling.

"Come on ___! It's only for tonight, and you might get to see him." Nami nudges you. You blush slightly at that, thinking it over.

"Well, I'd hate to ruin girls night." You smile thoughtfully as Robin hands you the coin. "Let's party." You grin slipping the coin into your pocket. Nami and Vivi cheer at that and Robin smiles as the ship takes off. You relax slightly, peering out the windows. "I've missed seeing the stars."

"Can't you see them at night?" Vivi asks.

"No, everything freezes over because of the temperature drop... And I can't venture out because last time I tried... I lost a toe to frostbite." You sigh standing up and taking off the rather heavy protective suit. "Where's the shower in this place again?" You add going over to the pile of clean clothes the vacuum had sucked up and picking some out.

"We'll show you, let's all take a bath." Nami chimes. You blink and smile following after them cheerfully.

You relax back in the warm bath with them. "This is so much better..." You breathe.

"So.. How's it living there all alone?" Nami asks.

"I'm not alone... I have 24." You look away.

"Droids don't count... And do you even talk to anyone else besides us?" Vivi inquires.

"I was talking to Lu, but he hasn't called in a while..." You rub your cheek. They share a look at that. "What's wrong? Is he mad at me?"

"Well... He got pulled into the Donquixote ship, and last we saw was that he was in Escape the Planet but he got separated from Baby5 and Sai... And we haven't seen him since." Nami shrugs.

"There's something wrong with his game shows..." You frown hugging your knees. "But I'm sure Luffy is okay. I mean, he and Law did save us when we got taken by those one crazy aliens that wanted to eat our skin." You muse looking to the ceiling.

"I think you're too fond of that memory." Robin giggles.

"Of course she is fond of it, Law came to her rescue." Nami nudges you.

"Sh-shush, we all know Luffy had to drag him along." You blush looking away. They smile and shake their heads letting silence take over.

You step off the ship and smile as you look around. "The trees are coming in nicely, but why are they blue?" You murmur.

"Something to do with the sunlight Usopp said." Nami shrugs slightly.

"Where is he? He's usually here to greet us." You stretch.

"Same as Luffy." Vivi informs you.

"Seriously? That sucks..." You mutter. "Who else got sucked into that psycho's game shows?"

"Ace, Sabo, X Drake joined in the last episode..." Nami tries to remember the others.

"Let's not worry about that now, come on, let's go get some drinks." Robin puts an arm around your shoulders leading the way.

"It's changed a lot since I was here last." You comment looking around with a smile.

"I bet, it must be very different from Earth right now." Robin murmurs as you're walked into the tavern. You and the girls take a corner booth, ordering some drinks and relaxing as you tell them about what you've been finding on earth, and the odd mutated creatures you've encountered.

"That sounds terrifying, how did you get away?" Nami gasps pale.

"I didn't want to, but I had to kill it, ripped a hole in my suit and I got burnt by the sun." You show them the burn mark on your arm. "It finally healed two days ago, but it was such a pain."

"Have you checked any of the army bases for supplies?" Robin asks.

"I've tried but my rover isn't fast enough to reach them before the freeze comes. Maybe I should get a hover board here and some freeze resistant suits so I can..." You say in thought, eyes looking to the bar. You freeze as you spot him, heart beat picking up as he looks your way at the same time. You blink and feel yourself blush as you swiftly look down shifting slightly. The girls raise an eyebrow at you.

"Law must be here." Robin giggles peering around as he comes over.

"Hey Law." Nami greets and you raise your head to meet his gaze.

"I thought that was you, did you finally get tired of that dead planet?" He inquires curiously.

"No, I'm uh... Only here for the night." You offer a slight shrug. His smirk falls the slightest.

"And what are those marks on your cheek from?" He points. You touch the three diagonal scars that disappeared under your jawline.

"I... I got attacked by a mutated monkey..." You admit dropping your gaze.

"I see, I suppose that wouldn't help your fear of monkeys." He comments and his communicator beeps. He cheeks it and frowns slightly. "I would like to talk more but I must go... It was nice to see you again ___." He offers a smile before departing. You watch him go and smile a bit.

"Yeah... You too..." You murmur before becoming aware of the others gazes. "A-anyway...." You begin mind scrambling to find a conversation starter.

"Oh my god ___." Nami sighs shaking you.

"W-What did I do?" You ask.

"You've been in love with him for YEARS!! Now go after him!" She pushes you out of the booth. You stumble and pout at her.

"B-But he's way out of my league, a-and girls night..." You argue.
"Don't give us that, we had forgotten about your fear of monkeys, but he didn't- so that counts for something right?" Nami points out, making you blush.

" And we'll do this tomorrow night, you're staying here a day or two." Vivi smiles.

"Now go spend some time with your dream man." Robin winks. You roll your eyes blushing but head out anyway. You look up at the sky, starting down the street, not really looking for Law. The solitude on Earth made you less enthusiastic about places like bars, it was all overwhelming. You sigh quietly and smile a bit looking around. It felt nicer here that was for sure.

You spot Law and duck out of sight when you saw him talking to someone. The woman's back was turned to you so you didn't get to see her face, only Law's. He gave a thoughtful smile and kisses her cheek. You pull away from the scene, feeling your heart sink. "Well, at least he's happy..." You force a smile to your lips before heading a different direction.

Soon you find yourself walking through one of the gardens, smiling a bit at the odd flowers. "I've missed vegetation.." You mutter, trying to focus on the beautiful flowers but you were too sad to really enjoy it. Sitting back you draw your gaze back to the sky only to see a pink tube pointing at you.

"Oh no..." You gasp moving to get up only to get sucked into darkness.
