Previously on escape the night the guests entered a circus and needed to perform in order to assemble the artifact. Leon won the arm wrestling, team Leon won the rope pull and in last challenge Izzy and Ryland went head to head in three different circus acts. Izzy overpowered and Ryland was sent to the hungry lions.

"I guess we read again." Izzy said taking the journal.

Izzy - The fact that I've been sent into a challenge means that I'm not contributing enough to the group and I wanna show them I can contribute. I gotta prove myself.

"Ivor figured out the ways of magic thanks to the evil and wanted to become invincible. But something has gone wrong and he trapped himself in the house and he can only be free if his magic staff is assembled again." Izzy read and the group sighed.

Maggie - I don't wanna deal with magicians! I want to deal with cakes and tea and sweets. Not this!

"So he's actually the first one to trap himself." Emma said. The group nodded.
"Yeah." Leon replied.
"Is there anything else writen?" Ci-Ci asked.
"No." Izzy replied simply.

Bridgette - Izzy said she didn't see anything, but I saw something because I was blessed with good sight.

"Wait is that?" Bridgette said as she took the journal. "There's fine print!"

David - Of course there's fine print.

"To begin your journey on assembling the magic staff, find a key to a room on the second in the living room." Bridgette read and the group stood up from the couches and started looking.

Emma - I, the smartass that I am, was looking everywhere and I found it behind the cabinet.

"Got it!" Emma announced and the group started following her to the second floor. They found the right door, unlocked them, opened them and entered the room.

Ci-Ci - We entered and it was like a cute children's room. Pink everywhere.

"The first cute room since we got here." Izzy said and David and Maggie laughed a little.
"Seriously not a time for jokes." Bridgette said.

Bridgette - People are dying here and they're joking. I don't think they have a heart.

Leon - Bridgette does kinda have a point. We shouldn't be laughing if we only have until sunrise. We don't have time to waste.

"Guys this closet is locked!" Emma announced. "It needs a key!"
"Okay." Izzy replied while looking for anything.
"I got a chest!" Leon announced and the group crowded together. "And a note!"
"Ivor always wanted to make furniture talk so it could be able to tell him its feelings. He always tried it left to right but it never worked." Leon read.

Leon - Basically he was a crazy man.

Ci-Ci - I miss Frank. He was the only normal one.

"Look on furniture for four numbers!" Maggie announced and they got to work.
"There's a 3 on the bed!" David announced.
"This is a 4 on the table!" Bridgette announced soon after.
"The bedside cabinet has a 9 on it!" Maggie said.
"Where is the fourth one?" Izzy was frustrated.

Izzy - We just couldn't find the fourth one. I was about to give up but then Emma found it.

"Found it! A 2 on the picture!" Emma announced.

Maggie - A 2 on the mother effin wooden frame of a picture. That's just savage.

"So we got the numbers, but what do we do with them?" Ci-Ci asked.
"No clue." David simply answered.
"We don't have any order." Bridgette said in defeat.

Bridgette - We're stumped.

"Or maybe we do have an order." Emma said. The group looked confused.

Emma - The note that Leon found said something about something going left to right. That's the combination.

"We need to arrange them left to right. If we're looking opposite the door, first we have the bedside cabinet." Emma said and the group started figuring it out.
"Try 9324!" Maggie said and Leon tried the combination. The chest popped open.
"It's a key!" Leon announced and jumped to the locked closet.
"It's the staff!" Bridgette said and Ci-Ci grabbed the staff.

Maggie - That was a mission to find the staff. How long will it take to assemble it?

They heard an evil laugh.
"What was that?" Bridgette asked.
"We released Ivor." Emma said.
"A note!" David said and grabbed the note.
"First you will need to place a metal triangle in the middle of the wodden staff. It is hidden in the mail room in the basement. It is in an envelope." David read.
"Let's go." Olivia said motioning for them to follow her. They make their way to the mail room. They enter.

Ci-Ci - We entered and there's thousands of envelopes.

Maggie - When are we supposed to find the thing? In five years?!

David - We just all decide to start looking around.

"I'm getting angry." Izzy said with a frustrated tone.
"I got it!" Leon announced.
"Where was it?" Bridgette asked.
"In one of the envelopes in the drawers." Leon said.

Leon - I took some advice while looking at what Emma was doing throughout the night.

Leon put the metal triangle in the slot on the wooden staff and a drawer opened. Emma grabbed the note.
"The last piece of the artifact has been under your butts the whole time." Emma read.

Maggie - I love the fact that someone from the 1950s used the word butt. It's awesome.

"Does that mean we could've found it earlier?" Leon wondered.
"I guess so." Izzy said.

Emma - We decide to go back to the living room and discuss on what we want to do now because we have no idea on what to do next.

"Should we just split up at this point and look around in places we've been in?" Ci-Ci asked.
"I mean, it seems like the only thing we can do right now." Bridgette admitted with defeat in her voice.
"Wait! It said under our butts, right?" Izzy asked and the group nodded. "Stand up!"

Leon - As soon as she told us to stand up I knew where she was going with this.

Izzy lifted the coushins the guests were sitting on and found a note.
"A note?" Izzy wondered.

Bridgette - I thought it said the final piece to assemble this artifact, not a note.

"Meet me in the workshop." Izzy read and the guests knew where they needed to go.
"Should I leave the Staff here?" Bridgette asked.
"Just leave it on the couch." Leon replied. Olivia led them to the workshop. They entered the workshop standing next to a furnace was Ivor.
"You finally came." Ivor said.
"You promised us the final piece in the living room!" Izzy yelled at Ivor.
"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't." Ivor said with a laugh. "I need only one more ingridient to finish the magic orb for the staff. A human needs to be put in this wooden coffin and burned in the furnace. And it will be one of you."

Emma - No!

"There will be no challenge. One person will be picked."

Bridgette - I really hope it's not me.

"I think this is a plead your case moment." Izzy said.
"I agree." Maggie followed with a nod.
"I've proven myself multiple times. That's all I need to say." Emma finished and the group nodded.
"I've also found things and put my life in danger. I shouldn't be burned." Maggie said.
"I've found stuff and eventhough I haven't been in a challenge I think I've proven myself enough to not die." Leon said.

Leon - No one wants to be burned alive. I seriously hope these people don't vote for me.

"I've put my life in danger by going out with Maggie and saving Bridgette and I've been finding things." David said.

David - If they decide to put me in that furnace I swear I'll hunt these people forever.

"I've been trying to help and solve things and I think I've done enough to not die yet." Ci-Ci said.

Ci-Ci - I know I haven't done as much as some people in this room but I'm trying to stay hopeful.

"I've been helping more and more ever since I've been in that challenge and I think I've proven myself since then." Bridgette said and some people nodded in agreement.

Maggie - We've all pleaded our cases and I'm thinking of voting for Ci-Ci or David.

Emma - I'm voting for Ci-Ci and I want to be honest with her and tell her.

"It's time to vote." Olivia said. "Let's start with Ci-Ci."

Ci-Ci - It breaks my heart voting for any of them but I had to vote for someone so I picked Bridgette.

"Emma." Olivia said. Emma came to her, took Ci-Ci's card and showed it to the group.
"I want to be honest about this." Emma said and Ci-Ci's eyes filled with tears.

Ci-Ci - How could someone do that? Just show the person they want them to get into that coffin and burn them.

Maggie, Izzy and Leon showed their cards as well. They were all Ci-Ci's cards. David and Bridgette kept their votes a secret.

David - I voted for Emma. I feel like she's starting to pick fights and I don't know if I can trust her. I really hope her name gets pulled.

"The person who is gonna get burned is... Ci-Ci." Olivia said and Ci-Ci started crying and begging for her life.
"Please. You don't have to do this. Please." Ci-Ci was begging while Emma, Izzy and Leon grabbed her and started dragging her to the coffin.
"Please don't! Please! Stop!" Ci-Ci was begging but her cries were ignored as the guests closed her in the coffin.
"Do it. Burn her!" Ivor said as Ci-Ci was screaming in the coffin. David opened the furnace and they put the coffin in and closed the furnace. Ci-Ci was screaming until the fire got to her and killed her.

Bridgette - This is horrible. We just killed her.

The orb dropped after Ci-Ci finally died. Emma grabbed the orb. Ivor laughed evily.
"Shut up." Izzy scoffed Ivor.
"Let's just go assemble this and keep going. We have nothing else to do." Emma said and the group went to the living room and Emma put the orb on the top.
"Put it on the shelf." Maggie said. Emma put the staff on the shelf.
"Let's keep going." Emma encouraged the depressed group.

Bridgette - They killed Ci-Ci like that and she already was in a challenge and that made me think if they're gonna kill me too because I was also in a challenges.

Leon - It seems like we're playing a game and the rules constantly keep changing.

R.I.P. Ci-Ci. This one was the hardest so far. I feel so bad. The guests are gonna go 'round next episode.❤❤❤
