✷      𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗠 𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗢𝗪𝗦 𝗪𝗔𝗦 the son of the late Reginald Sparrows, who terrorised people lower than him. He made people scared, a feeling that was never to be felt. The Sparrows' souls were blackened with greed and anger towards those inferior; it was almost inhumane. William was never like this; he was the only Sparrow to receive the kindness trait from the family tree, which seemed non━existence. The apple fell far from the tree and avoided William, but it had harsh consequences.

Think about it; it's like the lamb in the paddock. The lamb is all alone because the family left them behind. They were weak, and they were bound to get killed either way. Now enter in the wolves. The wolves were hungry, waiting for the feed. The lamb cannot survive alone, even if the wolves' teeth are baring at it. It's a fool's game for the lamb, and the survival percentage is meagre ━ for the prey vs the predator. It's obvious who will win in that scenario.

But which side are you on?

When Reginald finishes building the Mayoral Estate, the family hosts a party honouring him. People ignore the true truths beyond the risks that Reginald had to take to get here, but William knows nothing, choosing to turn a blind eye to his family's actions. After all, it's impossible to connect William to the family with the vast differences between personalities and the way each one of them carries themselves. At the same time, William prefers to stick to what he knows best. William invited ten friends to distract him from his father's victories. He trusted his friends a lot, the feeling becoming blissful in William's heart, and he felt himself smiling more with them than with his family.

But when the lights flicker and the guests are gone except for William and his friends, things start to turn horrible as they discover something lurking in the dark. The horrors beyond the Mayoral Estate had only begun and wouldn't be pretty. The souls of the innocents were going to be torn apart and left with nothing ━ the wolves had already started their feed. The ghosts walking amongst the dead were rising to get their revenge. When one accident happens, the gang realizes they are in a Victorian universe, and deaths come with challenges.

One by one, blood starts to drain from his friends' bodies, and William has no choice but to learn how to let go, his body constricting him from freedom, but also with the name of the Sparrows Family hanging above his head as if William was being executed. Letting go was the hardest thing he had to learn, but he knew he had to do it at some point. His friend's death was on his hands, and he only had himself to blame.

After all, he was just one of the Sparrows' pawns in a massive chess game that depended on life or death. William was not ready to die so quickly to his family's name or the grounds' evil cursed souls. It would not take a bullet to bring down William, as the lamb decided to fight back against the wolves.

William knew that only so few would escape the night. And the rest? Let's say they won't return for another party anytime soon...

✶ welcome everyone to the classic book that is escape the night! this book has been in the works since 2019, and has been rewritten so many times, to the point that it had never reached the last five chapters. however, this is it, folks, this is the final revamp! i hope everyone is excited for what the future holds after the end of escape the night, knowing of the future for this universe <3

✶ as mentioned, this is the first book of the universe, and it is what set the path of the universe! it does not look to end any time soon, with more books in the series! i have already revealed the next book, which is called sinners don't rest!

✶ if it wasn't obvious, this book was inspired by the show that joey graceffa has created. however, it has no connections to the actual youtube series! everything that is written within this book is all original creations, and ideas of punishments made by me! this is also an application book, so every character does not belong to me, only william sparrows does! the rest of the characters are listed in the next chapter.

✶ i am hoping to explore different eras within this timeline, and this book specifically focuses on a fantasy version of the victorian era, which you'll see when you explore this book throughout, and obviously this will change throughout each book.
