Ruby changed into a beautiful blue silk dress for the overnight dinner party. She had got the letter a few days ago. And she had hand sewed a feather boa on the previous night. As she was looking at herself in the mirror, she caught glimpse of her watch. She threw her cell phone and replaced her digital watch with an old one, for she couldn't have anything from this century. She waited till a carriage appeared.

She stepped in.

The Carriage ride lasted a few hours, but forest after forest it reached the big mansion. She stepped out. The overgrown grass grazed her foot as she met up with someone she recognized as Ashley.

"How are you? Ashley asked Ruby.

"Fine." Ruby said, tapping her toes and humming to her favorite tune. "And suspicious."

"Why would you be suspicious of this?" She said.

"You are right, I am just being weird." They climbed up the stairs and pushed open the door. The view dazzled their eyes. A crystal chandelier hung high above their heads. Veronica greeted them. Harry was in the corner, looking just as suspicious as she was, book in hand. He was one of the four not in a swarm of people.

"Hey." She said. He smiled, waved and started reading his book.

"So what do you do?" She said. He put down his book.

"I am a Thespian." He said. Her smile grew wider.

"I'm a VaudeVillan." She said. He smiled a toothy grin.

"No." She nodded,"Yes?" He finished. Ashley came over with a girl.

"Ruby this is Camri." She said. The girl smiled at Harry, waved and looked at Ruby. They both smiled back. The noise was overflowing. It was so loud noone heard her scream.
