Ch-87, Confrontations Of Friendship And Love

This is a serious note, please don't skip it. It's about the decreasing reads and votes!
It literally aches my heart to see that around 600 people read this book, but hardly around 140 of them vote!🥺❤️
Is this story that bad?

I don't wanna give you all any targets to complete, but if this continues, this book might seriously end! Because this book is just going on depending upon your interest and love!❤️

Hope you'll understand!✨️💕

There's a crack in everything , that's how the light gets in!

"Did you fight over being caught in the game?" Anirudh asked the little five year old Rudra as he was dropping both Rudhi and him to school that morning.

He had to go to court that day and Bondita also accompanied him. The parents had a normal understanding about dropping and picking up kids from school.

Anirudh and Rudra's father dropped and picked the kids to and from school in alternative weeks. And whenever Anirudh was out of town, Batuk or Somnath dropped the kids. This would save a lot of time and even the expensive fuel. Also, the kids loved going to school together.
Monishika lived on the other side of the town, so she came to school with her father.

"Yes, because I hadn't got enough time to hide anywhere, Uncle!" Rudra replied, feeling scared thinking Rudhi's Baba was going to scold him.

"But did you get lesser time than everyone else?" Bondita asked politely.

"No Bondita Aunty..." Rudra replied.
"But I couldn't find a place to hide."

"So did Rudhi go against any rules of the game?" Anirudh asked and Rudhi just grinned at Rudra with proud, knowing that she was already not at fault.

"No... She didn't." He replied looking at her, she was his bestfriend afterall!

"Then? Why did you scream at her?" Anirudh asked, his hands tightening over the steering wheel just at the thought of his Rudhi getting screamed at.

Bondita kept her hand on his knee gently, assuring him that it was alright and he shouldn't get angry.

"You know, you made her cry too! Do good boys behave like that Rudra? Do they raise their voice at girls?" He asked, trying to be as polite as he could be.

"Do they not?" Rudra asked with wide curious eyes. He had always seen his father and uncles raising their voices at their wives and other women too.

"No Son! A gentle and a good man should never raise his voice at a girl, you hear me? Never!" Anirudh explained him lovingly.
"And that's absolutely not because women are weak or they need protection, they don't need it, but we do! We need to protect women to protect our own existence!" He added as Rudra listened to him carefully.

"If we raise our voice at a girl, it means that we don't respect her and someone who doesn't respects girls doesn't even deserve respect! That's because, women are the one's because of whom this world exists, if they weren't here, we wouldn't have been here either!" Anirudh told with a smile whilst Bondita could just listen to him with proud and Rudhi was looking at her Baba in fascination as always!

"I will remember that uncle! But... I'm not a man.... I'm a child." Rudra told with gloomy eyes.

Anirudh couldn't help but laugh at the young boy's innocence.

"That's not a problem! You'll be a man one day, and you'll have to start practising from now onwards, right?" He just told Rudra, trying to make sense.

"Okay Rudhi's Baba!" Rudra said with tearful eyes.
"I will never shout or scream at Rudhi and not at any other girl too! I promise!" He promised.

"That's like a good boy! I'm so proud of you young man!" Anirudh looked at him from the rear view mirror and smiled with proud.

"And about the game, you were wrong there Rudra. You can't go against rules right?" Bondita told lovingly.
"That's why, you should always follow the rules before fighting with your friends like that! Fighting unnecessarily with your loved one's is not a good thing, okay?" She explained.

"Okay Bondita Aunty!" Rudra smiled at her.

"Now would you want to say sorry to your friend?" Anirudh asked and Rudhi instantly folded her arms, dramatically raising her eyebrows with fake attitude.

"Yes!" Rudra said before turning to rudhi as he held both his ears.
"I'm sorry Rudhi! I won't fight with you and never shout at you!" He said.

Rudhi didn't reply and looked out of the window with pride.

"Puchki!" Bondita glared at her with a smile.

"It's okay!" She pouted and replied to Rudra.

"Friends?" Rudra asked forwarding his hand to her.

"Best friends!" She giggled and hugged him instead.

Anirudh instantly frowned, clearly not liking so much of affection and closeness. His hold tightened on the steering wheel as they reached the school.

"Get-off my daughter!" He almost scolded, making Bondita glare at him angrily.

He instantly gave her a nervous smile and added, "Kids, we've reached, take your bags!"

Rudhi and Rudra giggled and seperated, taking their baga on their shoulders. Anirudh got out of the car and opened the door from Rudhi's side as the kids jumped out happily.

He bent down infront of Rudhi and she kissed his cheek lovingly, before rushing to Bondita and giving her a goodbye kiss too.

"Byee Maa! Bye Baba!" She shouted as the kids ran into the school, holding hands and waving at Anirudh and Bondita.

"Why does this Rudra cling around my Mishti so much?" Anirudh literally pouted with a possessive look on his face and a frown on his brows.

"They're just friends, Pati Babu! I think you're thinking just a bit too much. Your Mishti is still small to understand any of your fears." Bondita told him with a smile as he just nodded and she held the car door open for him.

He smiled and sat on the passenger's seat while Bondita went to sit on the driver's. The rule wasn't about the man holding the car door open for a woman. It's instead about who's gonna give the other a drive to their destination.
.....

It was the night before Bondita was to leave for Calcutta. She had already packed her stuff and instructed Bihari Babu about Rudhi's daily routine. She'd even packed Rudhi's bag for the next working day after the weekend.

"Bondita, all your packing is done, right?" Anirudh asked as he laid down on the bed beside her while Rudhi was sitting near Bondita's feet, colouring a picture with crayons.

"Yes Pati Babu! I've checked it all." She replied snuggling against his chest a bit.

"Don't worry about anything here! I'll take care of everything!" He told her, wrapping his arm around her.

"I know you will be more attentive and alert even than I am! But I just hope, Puchki doesn't trouble you a lot." Bondita pressed her lips together, sighing as she gazed at her five year old.

"Maa!! Do I ever trouble you?" Rudhi instantly looked up with an unhappy pout.

"Ofcourse you do!" Bondita teased her, giggling.

"Baabaaaa!!" Rudhi whined and jumped into Anirudh's embrace, digging space for herself between her parents who were hugging each other already.

"No Bondita, don't lie! Rudhi never troubles you! She's such a good girl!" Anirudh glared at Bondita with fake anger as Rudhi turned to look at her Maa, sticking her tongue out at Bondita, teasing her.

"Ofcourse not my Princess!!" Bondita laughed and hugged Rudhi, kissing her cheek lovingly.
"Just promise me that you'll be a good girl and listen to everything Baba tells you!" She asked, cupping her daughter's cheeks.

"Yes Maa I will! But you tell Baba, not to make me study a lot! He makes me study so much that I get tired and then I fall asleep and get no time to play!" Rudhi complained about her Baba now.

She was never too loyal to any of her parents afterall! Always complaining about one to another!

"Yeah! Pati Babu please don't make Rudhi do a lot of home work okay? And give her time to play as well!" Bondita instructed her Pati Babu and he just nodded with a chuckle.

"Okay I promise!" He smiled and snuggled with them, joining the hug as well.

......

The next morning, Anirudh was dropping Bondita to the railway station for her train to Calcutta. She would return after a week or two now. It was a long time ofcourse, but she had no worries until her Pati Babu was there to support her in every sense.

He was always there for her, to love her, to support her and to be by her side. Even if he wasn't by her side physically, he was always there to become her strength and make all stone unturned to make comfortable. Wasn't she too lucky about this? She thought so atleast.

"Bondita!" He called while driving, bringing her back from her thoughts. "Take care of yourself there. I won't be there to look after you, but that doesn't mean you'll overlook my wife's health for work." He warned her, making her smile.

"Yes, Pati Babu. I will take care of your wife!" She giggled.
"I won't eat anything from outside, I already don't feel well since a few days now." Bondita assured him.

"I know. If it wasn't so important, I would've never let you go for so many days. But work is important too, this case and the workshop will bring so much to your plate, Bondita. I heard there'd be a lot many senior lawyers. You'll get to learn lot!" He told her with a proud smile.

He always felt so happy whenever he saw her grow. He was just waiting for the day when she would be famous all over India and the world will praise her! Look up at her with admiration!

"I'll make you proud!" She lifted her hand to touch his and smiled at him lovingly.

"I know. I blindly trust you about that. About everything, actually!" He looked at her with a smile before looking back at the road and asking,
"By the way what's wrong with your health? Why aren't you feeling well?"

"I don't know, I guess it's normal. I just feel tired and bloated from time to time." She replied with a small pout.

"The same way you felt when Rudhi was in your womb! You aren't pregnant are you?" He had said lightly with a soft chuckle, still looking at the road.

But listening to him, Bondita's eyes widened in fear. She looked at him with fearful eyes, not wanting this possibility to be true right now. She didn't want to get pregnant right now. She wasn't anywhere against it, but she just didn't want it to happen in this moment.

"No Pati Babu! I'm not! And I shouldn't be either! I don't want to be pregnant right now. Don't you remember how much time it took for me to learn managing both Rudhi and work? I don't want that to repeat so soon, and that too when I'm so much engrossed in work these days." She told him fearfully and he just looked at her with shock, she really looked scared.

"I'm not saying that I don't want another child, but that's not even a near thought for me, right now Pati Babu! If I won't be able to give my Baby that time and attention that it requires, will it be justice to them or even me?" She said, feeling her thoat dry up.

Anirudh had stopped the car beside the railway station as they were almost there.
He just looked at her with a pained expression now. He was listening to her fears and understanding them so well! It was him, during the time of their first pregnancy, who didn't know whether he was ready for a child or not and now Bondita seemed to be in the same position.

"Bondita! Calm down shona!" He hugged her.
"Do you remember this was my situation too before you got pregnant with Rudhi?" He asked, still engulfing her in his hug and she just nodded.

"Back then you had so easily managed to push away all my fears and insecurities about having a child. You broke all my walls of fear with so much love and affection, it didn't even seem to be task for you!" He said with smile.

"I can also do that for you, but I won't! I won't even try to make you feel better about this until you really feel ready. It's not about me. I mean... it is, but not as much as it is about you! You are the one who's gonna have the baby in your womb for long nine months. You'll be the one suffering and I promise, I won't ever want to force you or bring you to that place where you agree to it for my happiness! Did you listen? Never! So don't be scared, I'm always here for you!" He said, caressing her hair with love and utmost care.

"I trust you Pati Babu." She murmured against shirt.
"And I love you!" She looked up at him, still being in his hug.

Anirudh smiled at her, bringing his hand to her cheek and gently caressing it with his knuckles.

"I love you too!" He murmured, as he placed a gentle peck on her lips.
"Now let's drop you to the train!" He smiled, breaking the hug and getting out of the car to look for a Coolie.

Bondita also got down of the car and he dropped her inside the train. There was still time for the train to leave and so Anirudh also sat in her private cabin inside the compartment.

"Don't worry about anything there, okay? Just focus on your case and learning a lot!" He smiled, caressing her hands as he held them gently.

"You too, Pati Babu. Don't worry about anything and especially me. I'll come back quickly! And please take of your my Pati Babu too." She smiled at him, pressing his hands with love.

"And yes, please do not forget about Rudhi's schedule. I've instructed her strictly too, but you'll need to be strict with her. Don't let her play all the day and don't even make her study all day long! And yes, please don't let her have sweets, she eats a lot of them with Kaka Sasurji and Sasurji." She instructed him as he just listened and kept nodding.
"Also, take care that she doesn't stay awake till late at nights and for that, you'll also need to sleep early, Pati Babu! Do tell her I'll come back quickly and that I've asked her to be a Good Girl!" She kept ranting and Anirudh just rolled his eyes, nodding.

When he'd had enough of her, he held her shoulders gently, pulling her closer to him so that their lips were just an inch away.

He spoke, his voice deep and husky, "I'll tell her all of this. But firstly you be a good girl my dear wife and give your Pati Babu a nice Goodbye kiss!"

Bondita's heart fluttered when he demanded to her with so much authority, as if he was claiming his rights upon her and her kisses.

"You sound so demanding." She murmured with a smile, teasing him.

"I am obviously demanding my wife a kiss!" He replied, looking down at her lips with hungry eyes which were also so full of love and admiration.

"You shall have it then!" She murmured, pressing her lips against his and wrapping her arms around his neck.

Anirudh held her more closely to himself, holding her by her waist as one of his hands reached to the back of her warm neck, caressing it lovingly. She let out a soft moan as he deepened the kiss, letting his tongue invade her mouth, tasting her with so much love and care.

There's a crack in everything. that's where the light gets in. No one ever gets to decide their future, they don't even get to know whether it holds happiness or sorrows. But that is something which is already decided and is meant to happen! It couldn't be changed at any cost, in any scenario. It's just the heart that needs to get accustomed with what the universe has in hold for it.

Will this time the heart be able to accomplish it? What did future have in hold for Bondita and Anirudh?
