A day before Rudhi's birthday, guests had already started pouting in.

Her Nana Nani had come with a whole car full of gifts for their Bulbul. Arjun and Saudamini too had arrived with Aanandit.

The little boy was loving his baby sister a lot. He had been playing with her all the time, as Rudhi too was enjoying with Aanandit a lot.

"Pati Babu! Please keep an eye on the kids!" Bondita called.
"I'm taking Saudamini Didi with me."

"Sure! Don't worry!" Anirudh replied, as he continued talking to Arjun about the Nationalist movement.

"Daa.... Daa!" Rudhi laughed happily as Aanandit was chasing her.

"Rudhiii!!" He shouted amidst his laughter, running behind her.

"Careful!" Arjun yelled as his 5 year old was running mindlessly behind Rudhi.

"The house is so filled with laughter! I'm loving it!"batuk remarked as he came to sit with his Dada.

"Oh, For sure!" Anirudh smiled.
"Such gatherings should keep happening amongst our busy schedules!"

"First you tell us! What are you getting for Rudhaanshi?" Arjun kept down his cup of tea and asked with a smile.

"Oh, forget it!" Anirudh chuckled.
"It's a surprise for Bondita too!" He winked.

"Chalo! Now he's not gonna tell this to anyone!" Batuk sighed.
"He always tells everything firstly to Boudi!" He huffed.

"We'll talk about it when Mallika comes!" Anirudh rolled his eyes at his brother.

Batuk and Mallika's marriage had been fixed by both the families and just the marriage dates were to be fixed soon.
Everyone was happy and Trilochan Babu was relieved as Mallika's father hd agreed to follow all the Bengali rituals as well.

"I'll just check upon Mini, once!" Arjun told and walked upto the study.

"I'll also join! Bondita is with her." Anirudh also followed behind as Batuk went away to play with the kids.

Saudamini and Bondita were in the study and Vibhavari had also come. All the ladies were having a great time talking and giggling.

"Pati Babu never allows anyone in his study! If it wasn't the three of us, he would have definitely locked up his study!" Bondita laughed.

"Oh for sure!" Vibha giggled.
"Dada loves his study a bit too much!"

"Ofcourse! Ita his first love!" Saudamini winked and the three continued to laugh.

Anirudh and Arjun were just outside the study and had heard it all.

"So these are their personal talks?" Anirudh huffed with a pout.

"Arey! Don't worry!" Arjun giggled.
"Women love to talk about their husbands like this! It's okay!"

"Ofcourse!" Anirudh chuckled, shaking his head.
"Let's go out and let them continue!"

.....

"What?" Bondita gasped as she and Vibhavari were walking up the staircase together.

Everyone had already slept and they too were just heading to their rooms.

"Why didn't you tell Dada?" Bondita asked.

"Didi.... I'm feel shy!" Vibha pouted and looked away, her cheeks warming up.

"Dhatt!" Bondita shook her head and hugged Vibha excitedly.
"This is such a good news!" She cried happy tears.

"Thankyou Didi!" Vibhavari hugged her back tightly.
"But how do I tell Som ji?" She pouted with a frown.

"Ohho! Just go to your room and you'll surely get a way!" Bondita smiled and pressed Vibha's hands lovingly.
"I'm so happy for youuuu!!!" She squeaked happily.

"Oh Didi!" Vibha smiled and hugged Bondita tightly.
"I can't wait to see everyone's reaction now!"

"Ofcourse! And do you want me to tell it to your Dada or will you do it by yourself?" Bondita smiled, cupping her face lovingly.

"Oh you please tell him!" Vibha smiled back.
"I'll feel shy again!"

"Ohho! Okay I'll tell him but you don't be shy at all!" Bondita giggled.
"There's nothing to shy about, Vibhuuu!"

.....

"What took you so long?" Somnath asked, sitting on the bed as he saw Vibhavari enter the room.

"I was just talking to Boudi." She replied, latching the door and walking to the bed table.

"Oh God! You both can talk for the  whole day, can't you?" He laughed, looking at her lovingly.

"Som Ji!" She finally spoke.
"I've to show you something."

"What's it?" He raised his eyebrows,
"Show me!" And smiled.

Vibhavari smiled nervously and pulled the table drawer. Picking up a report file she sat on the bed, close to him.

"What happened, sweetheart?" Somnath wrapped his arm around her, resting her head on his own shoulder.
"Why are your hands freezing?" He asked, touching her knuckles.

"See this!" She handed him the file and closed her eyes, burying her face in his chest.

"Hmm!" Somnath left her hand and started flipping throught the pages.

"Vibhuuu!" He exclaimed, clutching the file tighter and his wide.

"Are you happy, Som Ji?" She sat up straight and asked him, still being nervous.

"Ofcourse!!" He almost yelled.
"Is that even a question?"

"Really?" She looked at him, teary eyes and he quickly hugged her in a tight embrace.

"Really, Madam!" He cried in happiness and kissed her head with love.

Breaking the hug he looked at her, getting overwhelmed, and cupped her face in his hands.

"You're pregnant?!" He asked, just out of happiness.

Vibha smiled with even more tears in her eyes and nodded happily.

"Oh my Vibhuu!!" He smiled and hugged her tightly, not being able to express himself more.
"I can't tell you how happy I am today!!!" He smiled.

"I love you Som Ji!" She smiled in the hug.

"Don't even ask me! I love you soo sooo muchh!" He cried in happiness, kissing her hair with love.

That was a beautiful moment, filled with immense happiness and overwhelmed emotions. The emotions that could never be woven into words and phrases, but always be cherished in the heart.

"Pati Babu!" Bondita walked to him as she entered the room and locked the door.

"Shh!" Anirudh whispered, patting Rudhi's head.

Rudhi was in his arms and he had just patted her to sleep. Kissing his baby's head lovingly, he carefully laid her in the cot.

'Yes! Tell me now?" He whispered as Bondita walked upto them and bent down to kiss Rudhi's cheek.

"It's a good news!" She squeaked, pulling him away from the cot.

"What?" He asked plainly, his eyes not leaving Rudhi.

"Look at me!" Bondita cradled his face in her hands.

"Yeah yeah! I'm looking at you!" He chuckled.

"You're becoming Kaka soon!" She told him, jumping out of happiness.

"Oh!.." He replied plainly, not registering her words.
"Wait... What?!!" He frowned and she just nodded.

"Really, Bonditaaa?" He smiled, his eyes wide in excitement.
"You mean, Vibha!.... Oh my god!..... I'm going to her!" He said, walking to the door.

"Wait!" Bondita pulled his arm.
"She hasn't told it to Som Dada yet! You talk to her tomorrow!" She whispered.

"Oh! Okay!" He pouted.
"But I'm sooo happyyy!!" He cried.

"Me too!" Bondita squeaked, hugging him tightly.
"I'll be Badi Maa soon!"

"Oh yess!!" He hugged her back, being so happy about this news.
"I'm really so happy Bondita!" He squeaked happily.

.....

Somnath had told it to everyone in the house and everyone was happy beyond anything! The new happiness had brought an all new excitement and love into the house.

And as it was Rudhi's birthday tomorrow, Maa had asked Vibha not to tell this to any of the guests who came.

"It's a bad omen!" She had said to which everyone had to agree.

Anirudh and Batuk were out for some last minute preparations. As soon as they came back, Anirudh had rushed to Vibha and hugged his little sister tightly. Batuk followed behind.

"Vibhaa!!" He cried, hugging her tightly.
"I'm so happy! Thankyou so much for giving all of us this beautiful happiness!"

"Oh Boudi!" Batuk too hugged his Boudi.
"You tell me if you need something! And I'll get it at the oddest hour of the night too! I love you soo much, Vibha Boudi!"

"Bondita is this what Mishti wear for her birthday?" Anirudh gasped as Bondita laid a beautiful white frock on the bed.

"Yes Pati Babu!" She smiled.
"I got this yesterday with Maa!"

"Oh she'll look just like a princess! My Shona!" Anirudh picked up the dress, touching it gently.
"It's so beautiful, Bondita!"

Rudhi was downstairs, playing with her Dadu and Nanu, while everyone in the house was busy preparing for the party.

"Pati Babu! Kaka Sasurji had ordered a beautiful Lehenga for Puchki." Bondita told, keeping away a pile of clothes in the cupboard.
"I think she can wear it for the Pooja."

"Sure!" Anirudh smiled, keeping away the white dress carefully.

"Pati Babu...." Bondita called again.
"What are you getting for Rudhi?"

"Why do you want to know?" He raised an eyebrow at her.

"What do you mean?" She chuckled.
"I'm her Maa! And I need to know!" She huffed.

"Oh yeahh?" He smiled.
"So, I'm her Baba! And I don't want to tell you! Okay?" He said, pulling her cheeks lovingly.

"Huhh! You're so bad!" She huffed angrily.

"Aww! Keep trying, Shona! You'll never get to know it before tomorrow!" He winked at her.

"Fine! Bye!" She huffed and waked out of the room, stomping her feet.

"Drama Queen!" Anirudh just shook his head at his wife.

It was almost midnight and Rudhi was playing with her Super Chachu and Kaka. Bondita didn't even try to get her daughter into bed that day.

Everyone was eagerly waiting for the morning. The elders didn't believe in wishing at midnight, so they had already retired to sleep.

"Pati Babu! It's only 5 minutes are left!" Bondita called excitedly as all the three brothers were in the study, playing with the little princess.

"Oh! Yeah, Come on!" Anirudh called her and Vibhavarai inside.

"Rudhi Bacchaa!!" Somnath kissed her cheek lovingly.

"Come on! Give her to me!" Anirudh pouted.
"I'll wish her the first!"

"Why?" Batuk argued.
"Boudi will wish her the first!"

"You shut up! Bondita's tail!" Anirudh rolled his eyes and chuckled.

"Let's wish her together everyone!" Bondita smiled, shaking her head at the two brothers.
"Come Puchki!" She picked up Rudhi in her arms.

"Oh it's just a minute away!" Somnath cried in excitement, glaring at his wrist watch.

As soon as the huge clock in the hall struck 12 and rang loudly, Bondita and Anirudh kissed Rudhi on either of her cheeks.

"Happy Birthday Little Angel!" They both said in unison, just the name they had decided for their future baby!

"Happy Birthday Princess!" Somnath took her into his arms as Vibhavari kissed her forehead lovingly.

"Enough! Now it's my turn!" Batuk said excitedly.

Somnath handed Rudhi to him and he instantly kissed her cheek lovingly.

"Happy Birthday Kaaju Babyy!" He smiled, pulling out a chocolate from his pocket.
"You Chachi sent this for you!" He said, his cheeks warming up instantly.

"Oh yeaahh?!" Bondita teased and everyone laughed happily.

It was such a beautiful moment for all of them. It didn't even seem that Rudhi was finally and year old! She still seemed to have come into their lives like a fresh breeze just yesterday.

.....

Later when Bondita and Anirudh were in their room and Anirudh had tucked Rudhi to sleep, Bondita hugged him tightly in bed.

"Happy Birthday Rudhaanshi's Baba!" She smiled, her voice muffling into his kurta.

"Happy Birthday to you too, Rudhaanshi's Maa!" He smiled, kissing her hair lovingly as his fingers stroked them.

"I still can't believe it's been a whole year!" Bondita gasped as she laid in his arms, looking at the ceiling.
"It just seems to be yesterday that I was wondering how to disclose this news to you!" She giggled.

"Really Bondita!" Anirudh smiled.
"I'm so overwhelmed with emotions that I no longer know whether I'm happy or disheartened by the fact that my little daughter is growing up so fast!"

"We'll always feel this way, though!" Bondita chuckled.
"She would always seem our little baby to us!" She smiled.

Anirudh sighed, looking at his sleeping daughter, she looked just as precious to him and infact even more!

Bondita too glanced at her princess and snuggled more into her Pati Babu's arms, hugging him tightly.

"I love you, Pati Babu!" She whispered, closing her eyes and snuggling more into his chest.

"I love you so much more!" He replied, hugging her tightly and stroking her hair with love.

Later in the night, they had brought Rudhi on the bed and hugged her in sleep. They couldn't part with daughter, not that night!
