Ch- 62, Rudhi's First Trip!

To me, you're PERFECT!

"So is it much clearer now, Mr. Roy Chowdhary?" The doctor asked Anirudh, changing the lence of the phoropter.

"No. It became blur." Anirudh replied, trying to read the printed letters written on the board in front.

"Okay!" The doctor said politely and changed the lence again.
"Shall I know is it better now?" He asked again.

"Yes. It's clearer but not much." Anirudh replied again.

"And now?" The doctor asked him again, changing the lence of the other eye this time.

"Yeah! This seems perfect!" Anirudh told, perfectly able to read all the letters without any strains now.

"Okay! That's fine, Sir." The doctor smiled and removed the phoropter with a smile.

Walking to his table, he wrote down his observations on a paper.

"What do you think? Do I need to wear Specs?" Anirudh asked, walking to the doctor's table with a nervous face.

"Umm... Sadly, yes." The doctor replied, lifting his eyes from the paper.
"But don't worry! You'll just need reading glasses. Your number isn't that bad."

"Oh!" Anirudh looked down for a second.
"Okay, I'll get them. But is there anything to worry about? Am I... like... Aging?" He asked with a frown.

The doctor chuckled and shook his head slowly. Anirudh? Aging? That wasn't anywhere possible afterall.

"Everyone ages, Anirudh Babu!" He smiled.
"But thankfully, you aren't! It's just because maybe you read a lot."

"Oh yeah!" Anirudh sighed, chuckling.
"A barrister has to read so much, regularly!"

"That's the only reason. Just take good care of your diet and keep wearing the glasses regularly." The doctor instructed, signing the prescription letter.

"Thankyou!" Anirudh took the paper and walked out with a smile.

.....

"You'll get specs?!" Bondita exclaimed happily.
"Oh you'll look so handsome, Pati Babu!" She giggled, teasing him.

"I don't know!" Anirudh rolled his eyes at her, walking to the dressing table mirror and gazing at his own reflection.
"If you don't like me in them, I'm never wearing them!" He huffed.

"I'll love them!" She smiled, wrapping her arms around his stomach from behind.
"But now Puchki will have one more pair of specs to play with!" She giggled.

"I'll have to get a few extra pairs!" He chuckled, turning to look at her and held her to himself gently.

"I love you!" He murmured, tucking a hair strand behind her ear, gazing at her eyes lovingly.

"Don't go to Siliguri!" She said instead, her arms wrapped around his waist.

"It's important, Jaan!" Hw told, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead.
"I'll come back soon!"

Bondita didn't reply and hugged him tightly, pressing her cheek against his chest.

"Oh wait!" He suddenly shouted, making her shiver at the suddenness.
"I can't go tomorrow! We have to go to Calcutta for that Event!!" He hit his own forehead, as he had completely forgotten about it.

"Oh no!" Bondita gasped.
"We'll have to leave today itself!" She told worriedly.

"Yes! I'll just inform Kaka. You please start the packing by then." He said, heading out of the room.

Bondita quickly went and pulled out a few clothes for them. It was just a day's event, but she also wanted to visit her parents. Rudhi had not met her Nana Nani in a long time too.

.....

"Shall we take Puchki with us?" Bondita asked Anirudh as he was putting the clothes inside the bag.

"Ofcourse! Were you planning to leave her here alone?" He replied.

"And can we also visit Maa Baba?" She asked, pouting her lips.

"Bondita." He looked up, walking to her and holding her shoulders gently.
"Do you still rhink I would deny? They're your parents! You don't need my permission to meet them." He said with a smile as Bondita smiled back at him sweetly.

"Thankyou, Pati Babu!" She smiled excitedly.
"Puchki would be so happy to meet her Nan Nani, right?!" She walked away, taking out Rudhi's clothes from her cupboard.

"Yeaah!" Anirudh smiled, getting back to his and Bondita's clothes.

"All this is done!" He sighed after a few minutes, sitting on the bed.

"Thankyou!" Bondita smiled at him, packing Rudhi's toys.

"We'll need to drive. We won't be getting tickets at this moment." He told and she just nodded.

....

"Come back soon, Roshuu!" Vibha kissed Rudhi's cheek, giving her to Bondita.

"Kaa... Kiii!" She laughed, waving at her.

"Bring her back soon, Bahu!" Shubra Maa said to Bondita.
"We all can't live without her."

"Okay Maa!" She smiled as Anirudh called her from the car after he and Batuk had kept the luggage inside.

They bid a sweet goodbye to the family and drove away to Calcutta.
Rudhi was enjoying this car drive. It was most probably her first long drive and the first meet with her first visit to her Nana Nani's place. Anirudh had called the driver to drive them

They had visited when Rudhi was born and that time, Bondita's Baba didn't leave the little girl for a moment. He was so overwhelmed and happy.

"Mishti will meet her Nanaji?!" Anirudh touched her cheeks, squeezing them playfully as she sat in Bondita's lap.

"Na.. Naa.. dii" She blabbered happily, throwing her arms in the air.

"Aww!! You love your Nanu, right?!" Bondita kissed her daughter's cheek, cupping her little face.

"Bondita, I'll leave for Siliguri tomorrow then!" Anirudh informed.
"You stay with Maa Baa for the week." He smiled.

"Okay!" She replied, now happy that she won't be missing him much.

Anirudh too was relieve that his Bondita won't feel bad without him now.
He would have never gone, if this wasnt important.

"Pati Babu!" She suddenly called.
"It's Puchki's first Birthday next month!" She exclaimed.

"Oh yeahh!" Anirudh's eyes widened as he realised.
"I just can't imagine, it's been a whole year?" He gasped, looking at her.

"Yes, Pati Babu! She's growing up so fast!" She said, getting emotional as Rudhi played happily on her lap.

"Very fast!" Anirudh touched Bondita's shoulder, touching Rudhi's head with the other hand.

"Can't she always stay this small?" Bondita rested her head on his shoulder, hugging Rudhi to herself.

"I so wish!" He sighed, touching Rudhi's cheek.

"One day she'll grow up so much, that she'll leave and go to some other home." Bondita said, smiling sadly at her baby.

"Bondita please!" Anirudh frowned.
"How many times do I tell you not to say such things? My Mishti isn't going anywhere! She'll always live with her Baba, hugging him tightly!"

Ge said and pulled Rudhi into his own lap, hugging his princess tightly.

"She'll forever be my princess!" He said possessively, pouting his lips with a frown.

"Ofcourse! But she'll also be someone's queen someday, right?" Bondita chuckled pulling his cheek lovingly.

"Mishti! We won't talk to Maa now! He said, shoving off Bondita's hand in fake anger.

"Hahhahaha! Okay I'm sorry! I won't say it again." She laughed hugging his arm tightly, kissing Rudhi's head.

"Good girl!" He huffed cutely.

.......

It took them a few hours to reach Bondita's maiden home. It was late evening and they seemed tired.
Rudhi was sleeping in Bondita's arms, while Anirudh helped the driver in keeping out the luggage.

"Maa Baba must be awake, right?" Anirudh asked Bondita as she was patting Rudhi.

"Yeah! They sleep late." She replied, her voice tired.

"Okay then, let's go inside." Anirudh smiled, gesturing the driver to bring all the luggage as he held her hand and walked inside.

"Maa! Baba!" Bondita called out and a moment later, her Baba came running to the door.

"Roshuu!" He exclaimed with a bright smile as Anirudh bent down to touch his feet.

"Jamaai Babu!" Baba hugged him happily, before turning to his daughter and touching her cheeks.

"How're you my Roshogulla?!" He kissed her forehead, not wanting to disturb the sleeping Rudhi.

"I'm good Baba! Where's Maa?" She asked.

"She already slept. She was quite unwell since this morning." Baba told.

"What happened Baba?" Anirudh asked with a frown.

"Nothing Beta, it's just some weakness. Nothing to worry about." Baba replied.
"You both freshen up quickly. I'll get your food served!" He smiled.

"And give this sleeping beauty to me!" He didn't wait for Bondita though, and quickly took Rudhi into his arms. She was in deep sleep, so it didn't wake her up.

"Areyy!! You grew up so much!" Baba smiled at her, kissing her cheek lovingly.
"Nanu's princess!" He showered many kisses on her little face and took her away.

"Baba is so happy to see Rudhi!" Bondita murmured to Anirudh, getting emotional.

"Yeah! I guess, he got his little Roahogulla back!" He chuckled, clutching onto her hand.

.....

After they had dinner, they both went to Bondita's room. Baba had taken Rudhi with him and wasn't ready to part with her for a second.

"I can't sleep!" Anirudh tossed on the bed, lying beside Bondita.
"I'm so used to Rudhi sleeping on my chest!" He complained.

"I too am used to hug her and sleep, Pati Babu!" She replied.
"But Baba met her after so long, I didn't wanna take her away from him."

"Ofcourse!" Anirudh sighed.
"You come here!" He pulled her closer, hugging her tightly.

"Pati Babu!" She gasped, giggling.

"What? I need to hug someone, afterall. And don't forget, you'll always be the first I'll want to hug!" He said, caressing her cheek with love.

"I love you, Pati Babu!" She whispered, looking into his beautiful love filled eyes.

"I love you too, Jaan!" He replied hugging her even tighter, her body pressing against his tightly.

Bondita yawned, covering her mouth and Anirudh just smiled finding her cute.

"Sleep, shona!" He patted her head with love.

"Hmm" she replied, before pressing her lips onto his for a gentle kiss.

Anirudh kissed her back ever so lightly yet sensually. There was no urgency no dominance, just pure and blissful love. He stroked her hair as she buried her fingers in his locks, still kissing each other.

After they broke the kiss, panting, Anirudh touched her cheek, smiling with love.

"Good night, sweetheart!" He whispered and she just closed her eyes, nodding.

"Good Night!" She murmured, snuggling more into him.

.......

The next day, they woke up early. The event was in the afternoon, so they still had some time.

Rudhi was all the time, busy playing with her Nanaji. Even though they met after so long, it didn't take them long to bond with each other.

That's the power of the relations connected to the heart, maybe!

"Baba, give her to me, I'll feed her!" Bondita asked her Baba.

"No way!" He straight away denied.
"Only I'll feed her! She's my lovely Bulbul!" He said kissing Rudhi's cheek.

"Bulbul?!" Bondita smiled.

"I'll call het Bulbul! You like it?" He smiled excitedly, while she just nodded.
"Nevermind! Even if you don't, I don't care!" He laughed, making Bondita's jaw drop in shock but she ended up laughing.

"Fine! I'll just sit with Maa!" She said.

"I too am going to play with my Bulbul!" Maa replied, walking to Baba and Rudhi.

"You both are so mean!" Bondita huffed, puting her lips.
"You love Rudhi."

Anirudh was all the time sitting on the sofa, reading the newspaper with his cup of coffee. He chuckled as he saw his Bondita showing tantrums to her parents.

Baba looked up at her with a frown.

"We found you Jamai Babu to keep loving you forever! Don't complain, Shona, go to him!" He teased his daughter as she looked away shyly.

"Huhh!" She huffed and stomped her feet, walking to Anirudh and siting beside him with pouted lips and crossed arms.

Anirudh pressed a smile on his lips. He too had blushed when Baba said about him loving her, so openly. He shifted the opened newspaper to cover himself and Bondita and quickly placed a kiss on her cheek.

Bondita looked at him with wide eyes, touching her cheek with a blush.

"I'll keep loving you forever!" He smirked, sipping his coffee.

Bondita couldn't help but smile. Her cheeks tinted with a deep red hue.
