"You don't give upon something or someone you truly love!

Batuk and Mallika were sitting in his car, looking some what serious. Mallika's face was clenched in tension, while Batuk held her hand calmly.

"BRC!" She suddenly turned to him, her eyes glistening with tears.
"If your Kaka doesn't accept this marriage, will you elope with me?!"

"What?!" Batuk frowned at her in disbelief.

He found it really weird, but he understood how his Mallika was. He didn't want to hurt by clearly denying to her statement. He brought her hand to his lips and gently kissed it.

"Mallika, running away isn't an option!" He spoke.
"That's not what I've learnt from my Anirudh dada. He has always taught me to fight for one's love! And that's what we'll do, untill we succeed."

"But this won't be easy, Batuk!" Mallika looked at him badly.

"Who ever wants it to be easy? I don't!" He smiled, wiping the tears that had rolled down her cheeks.

"These hardships are what make a love story beautiful! What we'll tell to our children, afterall?!" He laughed, trying to lift up her mood.

"Our children?!" Mallika murmured, finally getting a bit shy.

She was never a shy girl, unlike Bondita. She was always outspoken and shameless, as the society might call, and that's what made her different.

"Shy!" Batuk teased her.
"My Mallika is shy?!" He giggled, placing a kiss on her cheek while she looked away, blushing.

After a few minutes, she looked at him with an intensified gaze of love.

"We'll fight for our love together!" She smiled at him as her gaze fixated on his beautiful face.

"Ofcourse! And we'll win too!" Batuk smiled back, staring at her huge black eyes.

"I love you Batuk!" She almost whispered, inching closer to him, caressing his hand with her fingers and thumb.

"I love you so much more, Mallika!" Batuk replied, wrapping his arm around her shoulders and  pulling her into an embrace.

She rested her head on his shoulder for a brief moment. Their eyes closed in peace and love. Their hands entwined into a beautiful poetry.

"B.. Batuk!" She suddenly called, lofting her head from his shoulder.
"Can I get a kiss?" She asked, looking straight at his lips, not shying away this time.

Batuk looked at her in shock and awe before smiling at his Mallika. He inched closer to her, his hot breaths fanning her face.

"You're my love, Mallika!" He whispered, staring at her eyes with love.
"All I have, is yours. I'm yours too! You can take away whatever you wish to!"

Mallika needed no more invitation. She raised her hands, touching his cheeks gently as she touched her lips to his.

Electricity ran through both their bodies, as they stayed still for a while.
Batuk didn't move for a second, his eyes closed in anticipation. Mallika too, closed her eyes, feeling this moment to the fullest.

Soon, she pressed her lips onto his, a bit deeper, still not claiming them. Batuk ran his hands up her hair, holding her head lovingly.

"I love you..." He breathed the words against her lips, now suckling onto them passionately.

Mallika's breath hitched for once, before she too responded to his kiss with equal passion. Their hands cupping each other's face and bodies pressed against each other.

Batuk groaned in passion as she bit down on his lower lips, gently. He lowered his hands, clutching her waist tightly, making her moan.

They soon parted for air as their breaths ragged and hearts raced.
After a few more passionate kisses, Batuk drove them home. Bondita had asked him to bring Mallika for dinner that night.

"Somnath Dada!" Bondita exclaimed, running to the entrance of the Haveli as she saw Somnath and Vibhavari walk in together.

"I'm so relieved to see you both fine!" She hugged Vibha and Som tightly.

"Yes Boudi! We're fine!" Somnath replied with smile.
"Afterall, a doctor can cure himself too!" He laughed.

"But a doctor can also get beaten for silly things too!" Anirudh announced, walking down the staircase as they all turned to look at him.

"Dada! How're you?!" Somnath walked to him happily.

"Really angry!" Anirudh glared at him.
"Couldn't you call us there after the accident?"

"Oh Dada! But we're absolutely fine now. Please don't be mad at us!" Vibha walked to him and looked at him innocently with a smile.

"How can I ever be mad at my lovely sister?!" Anirudh finally smiled, hugging Vibha into a gentle embrace.
"You're okay, right?" He asked.

"Yes Dada! I'm absolutely fine! It was just a small accident. Don't worry!" Vibha smiled at him, wrapping her arms around one of his arms and resting her head against it.

"Hmm... Then I'll forgive this brother of mine!" Anirudh chuckled, wrapping his other arm around Somnath.

"My children!" Shubra Ma ran to them and hugged both Som and Vibhavari, tears filling in her eyes.
"I'm glad you both are safe!

"Maa!" Som and Vibha hugged her back, smiling happily.

"Kaa... Kaa!!" They suddenly heard Rudhi shout as she crawled out of Trilochan Babu's room, followed by him.

"Roshuuu!!" Somnath quickly walked to her and picked her up in his arms.
"I missed you so much my baby!" He kissed her cheek as she laughed happily.

"My Roshogulla!" Vibha squeaked, holding Rudhi's hand lovingly and kissing her other cheek.
"You look so grown up, my princess!" She said, kissing Rudhi's small hand.

"She missed you both so much!" Bondita laughed, raising her eyebrows.
"She would always crawl to your room and call you both!"

"Awww!! Kaka and Kaki are back now, my baccha!" Somnath cried happily, showering her face with gentle kisses.

"Kaka... Choki!" Rudhi patted Som's shoulder and forwarded her hand.

"Chocolate?!" Somnath laughed happily, turning to Vibha.

"Kaki giver the chocolates!" He giggled at her.

"Oh yeah! Wait!" She replied, pulling out a bunch of chocolates Somnath's oant pocket, for Rudhi.
"Here!" She unwrapped one of them and stuffed a small piece into the baby's mouth.

"Too much of Pampering!" Anirudh chuckled, looking at Bondita.

Soon at the dinner table, Batuk and Mallika were seated with rhe whole family. She had worn a decent orange Salwar suit, which was still too flashy and loud.

The women Roy Chowdhary Haveli, too wore really heavy sarees, but they all were embroided Banarasi's. While Mallika's Salwar Suits were typically Punjabi styled, full of vibrant, bright colours with shiny stones and beautiful hangings on the Dupattas.

She looked really pretty with her long braid and beautiful large earings.

"So you're in Batuk's college?" Binoy Babu asked, adjusting his specs.

"Y.. Yes Uncle Ji." Mallika replied.

"We heard you hail from Punjab!" Trilochan Babu asked, looking serious.

"Yes Kaka Ji!" She replied, nervously. She really feared Trilochan Babu.

"Good! I've been to the state once in my youth!" Trilochan Babu finally smiled, remembering his own sweet memories.
"It's a beautiful city, with the most welcoming people!"

"That's Great!" Anirudh exclaimed.
"Mallika is really a nice girl, though!"

He was trying to make everyone like her, but unknown to him, all the elders were already liking her.

"So she is Batuk's choice?!" Somnath whispered to Bondita as she served him the luchis.

"Yes! Isn't she pretty?!" She smiled at her Dada.

"Very pretty! And well educated and humble too! My brother has really found a good Bahu for Kaka!" He chuckled.

"Som ji! You should also talk to her!" Vibha hushed to him, tugging onto his arm.

"Oh yeah!" He whispered and turned to Mallika.
"So tell me Mallika! What else do you like? I mean other than academics!" He asked.

Mallika smiled at him and sat up excitedly.

"I don't like studying much! I just need to study because my Bauji wants his daughter to be well- educated. He says it's good for his reputation among his British friends." She laughed, forgetting the sheath of unwanted shame she had to cover herself with.

"Infact, I really love to paint! I even learnt it from my Guruji in Amritsar!" She said, excitement gleaming in her eyes.

"Oh wow!" Somnath smiled.
"We would love to see some of your paintings some day!" He said, starting to eat the food.

"Sure!" She replied.
"By the way, shall I call you Somnath Dada?!" She asked.

"Ofcourse! Why not?" He replied, smiling at her.

"Anirudh Dada!" She turned to Anirudh.
"Can I take Kaaju in my arms for sometime? You also would need to eat your food, right?!"

"Oh! Ofcourse, there's nothing to ask about it!" Anirudh smiled, placing Rudhi on Mallika's lap.

"She seems to know you already!" Shubra Maa remarked, with a smile.

"Oh yes, Aunty Ji! BRC brings her with him to my Ho..." She stopped mid way as she realised she was about to sau,'my home'.
"I mean, he sometimes brings her to the college." She corrected quickly, making Batuk sigh in relief.

Batuk was all the time sitting beside her, smiling at her bashfully. She just seemed so perfect in befriending his whole family.

Shubra Maa just smiled and served Mallika with some more Luchis.

"Mallika Beta, do share your father's telephone number before leaving." Binoy Babu said with a smile.

"Sure Uncle Ji!" She replied, eating the delicious food.

"By God! Aunty ji, the food is delicious!" She said, enjoying the food.

"It's cooked by Bondita Bahu!" Shubra Maa smiled and Bondita just shrugged, serving the Ras Malai to Anirudh.

"Bondita Didi! It's so tasty! I feel like kissing your hands!" Mallika exclaimed, making Anirudh frown a bit but he ended up chuckling at her cuteness.

"No you can't!" Batuk laughed.
"Dada is too possessive!"

"Oh shut up!" Anirudh rolled his eyes at Batuk as Bondita blushed a bit.

Anirudh suddenly touched his eyebrows, frowning a bit in pain. Bondita looked at him and frowned too.

"Is it still aching, Pati Babu?!" She asked with concern, making everyone look at him.

"What happened Dada?" Somnath asked.

"Som Dada.." Bondita replied instead.
"Pati Babu's head had been aching for a week now. His eyes get strained a tired quickly these days." She told.

"Oh! No need to worry, Boudi" Somnath replied.
"Dada, you just come with me tomorrow. We'll get your eyes checked."

"It means Kopal would be wearing specs too?" Shubra Maa asked worriedly, making Anirudh look at her in shock.

"Maa!" He whined.
"Firstly, don't call me that! Atleast not in front of Mallika! And secondly, I don't want any specs!" He said with a frown.

"Dada!  Let's just get your eyes checked first!" Somnath told, and Anirudh just nodded.

"Fine! I think I should leave now!" Mallika smiled, standing up as everyone was done with their dinner.

"Okay!" Trilochan Babu smiled at her, standing up.
"Batuk, go and leave her safely!" He commanded.

"Beta, keep visiting!" Shubra Maa touched her cheek lovingly, placing a  kiss on Mallika's forehead.

"Sure Aunty Ji!" She replied, bending down to touch her feet, before touching Trilochan Babu and Binoy Babu's feet.

"Take this with you, Mallika!" Vibhavari came with a Handi of Roshogullas.

"This isn't needed Didi!" She smiled.

"No one can ever deny to Roshogullas in front of Bondita Boudi!" Batuk laughed.
"She gets really mad! It's better you keep it quietly!"

"Thankyou!" Mallika laughed and took the Handi fron Vibha as Bondita glared at Batuk.

"Tata, Kaaju!" Mallika kissed Rudhi's cheek, who was in her Baba's arms.

"Ta... Taa!" She waved back with a bright smile.
"Taa... Taa" she continued to say until Anirudh laughed and gently touched her cheek.

"Enough Mishtu!" He kissed her cheek, hugging her.
"Let's sleep now!" He rested his baby's head on his shoulder and started to pat her back lovingly.

Batuk went away with Mallika.
