Sometimes, talking to someone who understands you and wants to listen,
Is the best way to find a solution to  problems.

Anirudh and Bondita had reached home by dinner time. Anirudh had held the door open for her and they entered the haveli. Everyone was busy in some or the other work.

Vibhavari and Maa were in the kitchen along with Koyeli, preparing for the family meal. Anirudh's uncle, Trilochan Roy Chowdhary was sitting in the hall with Batuk, Anirudh's youngest Brother, discussing some Zamindari works.
While Binoy, Bondita's Father-in-law was in his room, with Somnath discussing about their work.

Anirudh and Bondita greeted Kaka as Koyeli brought them water. After sitting in the hall for a while, they both decided to go and change into their night clothes. They went upstairs. Bondita and Anirudh had decided not to tell anyone about what all happened that day. It was something which could make them worried.

On the dinner table, Bondita and Vibhavari served the food and then sat themselves too. Anirudh had made it sure that atleast in his family, he was able to change thoughts. Many people in the village too had started following his actions till then.

They all chatted and had their meals. After the dinner, everyone sat in the hall while Bondita and Vibha cleared the table with Koyeli. Bondita found it the right time to talk to Vibhavari about going to the clinic.

"Vibhu suno!" She spoke, keeping the empty glasses in the washing area.

"Ji didi!" Vibhavari replied after she had packed away all the left over food.

"I... I actually wanted to visit your clinic. I actually need to talk about something."Bondita said, hesitating a bit, but afterall Vibha was just like her sister.

"What happened didi?... Is everything fine?"Vibha moved closer to her and asked softly.

"Yes, yes!... I am absolutely fine, Vibhu!... Its just that I wanted to talk about something... Which I might tell you tomorrow in the clinic only." Bondita smiled and Vibha too felt relieved a bit and she got an idea about what must Bondita be planning. Afterall, she knew her Didi well.

After they all went to their rooms, Bondita sat on the bed beside Anirudh, who was reading a book. She folded her legs and sat beside him with a notepad and the feather pen he had brought for her.

Anirudh looked at her from the side of his eyes, and smirked a bit.

"Planning to do Poetry?" He asked looking at his book with a smirk.

Bondita simply replied, "No!... Planning a baby!... I hope you remember we need to discuss the Pros and Cons.. So... I was just preparing mine!..."

Anirudh was startled, he looked up at her with a frown, looking so cute that she felt her heart bounce.

"Are you for real, Bondita?" He asked. "Don't you think you are being too desperate....When I said I am ready, I didn't mean that we'll start planning a baby today itself!...But still, lets just discuss if you want. But right now, we'll only discuss it!..." He made it clear.

Bondita nodded excitedly and stood on her knees, she shifted near to him and settled beside him. Anirudh too, stretched his arm out and held her.

"So tell me!... Lets discuss the Cons first, I guess" he said and kept away the notepad. They didn't need to write it all, it wasn't a case to be fought in the court. Even if it was, he already knew, Bondita will win, both, the case and his heart, and it was same with Bondita too!...

"Having a child is a great responsibility!... We might have to face problems, managing things in the initial days." She said, thoughtfully. Anirudh nodded.

"But, you only told, that we will learn it with time. And everything has to be new and challenging at the first." He said. She was all of a sudden so happy about him agreeing to what she said earlier.

"But it's gonna be tough for you, health wise. Bearing a child, having it inside you for nine long months!... And then, caring for it for, I don't know... forever! Is a great responsibility for a mother. What about your dreams?..." He argued.

"I dont feel it to be a challenge Pati Babu!... I see it more as a blessing!... A lifetime blessing!...
And you know what?... After having a baby, we both will be more focused on our dream. Because that is what our baby is gonna learn from us. He or she will learn to be passionate about their dreams!...."she said smiling at him. Anirudh reciprocated his smile,  convinced by her words.

"Hmm!.. I find it convincing." He replied, finding a proper validation in her points.

"Bondita, then I don't have any more Cons in my mind." He sighed and thought to himself that maybe it wasn't such a bad idea. He too wanted to think about having a baby, but just couldn't.

"So lets move to the Pros!" He said and started speaking, Bondita resting on his arm.

"A child is obviously a great happiness!.... It is definitely gonna bring so much joy into our lives. It will bring the family closer and..."he looked down and saw Bondita sleeping peacefully. She was cuddling onto his arm and sleeping like a baby!...

"So cute you are.... And I know our baby would be even cuter!" He thought to himself. Suddenly the idea of having a child was making him happy.

He made her lie on the bed more comfortably and switched of the lights. He too slept beside her, wrapping her in his arms and stroking her hair lovingly.

The next day, Bondita had to go to Vibhavari's clinic. When she was getting ready, her Pati Babu came and took out a shirt from the cupboard.

"Where are you going?" She asked, combing her hair.

"I'm coming with you!..."he smiled at her.

"With me?.... But.." She was about to say.

"But what?.. I too am gonna be a father, right?.... So I must accompany you!.. I also wanna know." He replied, touching her cheek lovingly and she felt so happy about this. Her husband thought so much about her.

They both got ready and walked downstairs. It was a holiday so they had no court that day.

Vibhavari came down with Somnath, holding her doctor's coat in her hand. She looked at Bondita and gestured her. Bondita nodded that she would be coming.

"Maa!... Pati babu and I are going to the library... May we?" She asked Shubra Maa softly and Maa happily agreed.

"Ofcourse beta!... Just come back before lunch time." She told.

Bondita and Anirudh smiled happily. They were relieved now.

"Come on Vibha, let us drop to your clinic on the way!"Anirudh said and Vibha understood the plan. She nodded and the trio left for her clinic.

In the car, Bondita sat on the front seat, while Vibhavari sat behind. As Anirudh drove the car, Vibhavari thought of teasing her lovely brother-in- law.

"Vaise Boudi!.... Aap aa toh rhi hain clinic, par main toh pehle se hi keh rhi hu... Ki Dada ke pyaar mein khudko kho jaane dijiye!..."she winked, making both, Anirudh and Bondita blush.

"Aap dekhna, reports bhi sab thik aayengi aur mere Dada jaldi se Baba ban jaayenge!..."  Listening to this word from his little sister, made Anirudh feel elated!...He just couldn't believe that he could be a father soon!...

Reaching the clinic, Vibhavari took Bondita inside for he check up. Anirudh sat outside, waiting.

He was walking to and fro outside the clinic. Soon the visiting hours started and patients started to walk- in to meet the doctors. It was not a huge clinic, but still a good one.

Anirudh noticed little cildren coming with their mothers, talking so much. He chuckled at their cute talks. It was after sometime that the child specialist came and started calling the patients for the check ups.

There was a little child sitting beside Anirudh with his grandmother. He looked to be 4 year old and was a really bubbly kid. He was talking all the time to his grandma and didn't seem ill at all. Anirudh was smiling at the little baby, and that toddler was shying from this unknown stranger beside him.

Even though he was shying, he was trying to get Anirudh's attention. He would touch Anirudh's hand and play with his fingers, saying undeciphered words. Anirudh felt so delighted by how cute the baby was!...

Soon it was his turn for the check up and he went with his grandma happily. Anirudh smiled at his trail and how he wasn't quite for even a second.
He was suddenly feeling his heart become so light and happy.

After a few moments, as Anirudh got up to walk a bit again, the child came running from inside the clinic, and hugged Anirudh's leg tightly, and cried, "Baba!...."

Anirudh was startled and he carefully turned around, so that the baby didn't fall. He looked down to find him crying. He felt a sudden pain in his heart, seeing huge tears in those big eyes. He instantly bent down to pick him up in his arms and wiped his little, chubby cheeks.

"What happened, baby?..." He asked him kissing his cheek.

"I dont wanna get the 'jection' (injection)!.... The doctor uncle is sho baaad!..." He exclaimed and wrapped his arms around Anirudh. Anirudh felt a sense of relief in that hug. It felt as if it soothed his heart to the core and he just patted the child's back.

His grandma soon came running and thanked Anirudh. She told him that her grandson would mistake anyone as his father, as his father lived away for work. Anirudh handed the baby to her and the lady gave the child a barfi to eat and distract him and took him inside.

Anirudh followed the baby's trail and waved at him. The baby threw a flying kiss at Anirudh and went away happily.
