Ch- 27, The Lullabys Of Love!❤️

"I am proud of a many things in life, but nothing ever beats being a father to my lovely Daughter!❤️"

It was the naming ceremony of Rudhaanshi. Anirudh and Bondita were in their room, dressing up Rudhi. He was now more comfortable in handling Rudhi alone. Until she was hungry and cried for Bondita, he could easily handle her and take care of his baby.

Fatherhood and motherhood, aren't taught to anyone. They just make their way into the heart, as soon as you have a baby to look after.

Anirudh and Bondita too, were learning each day. They were learning new things, new challenges and experiencing new beauties of Parenthood!

Anirudh had made Rudhi wear a beautiful yellow traditional lehenga, which her Kaka Dadu had gifted her with so much love.
He had made sure that his little princess wasn't even a bit uncomfortable about the material or literally anything!

Kaka had not allowed him to take Rudhi out ir roam in the haveli, too, until that day. But now, he could rightfully roam anywhere with his daughter!

As he dressed Rudhi, she was just cooing softly and looking around the room with her large eyes. He too, kept on talking to her in the most childish voice he could ever manage!

"My Rudhi will look like Plincess in this dless!" He said, just to imitate a child's accent, which made Bondita giggle.

Bondita was pinning her saree and listening to Anirudh's cute talks with his daughter.

"Your Maa just keeps on giggling at us, Rudhi!" Anirudh rolled his eyes as Bondita, making her giggle even more.

"Let's teach her a lesson!" Anirudh winked at Rudhi and walked upto Bondita. Rudhi just trailed her father's movements around the room, lying on the bed.

Anirudh went and held Bondita's hand, softly twisting it behind her back.

"Wha.. What are you doing, Pati Babu?! Leave my hand, please!" She said, getting nervous.

"No, no.... Why now? You keep on giggling, Shona!" He said teasing her.

"Okay, okay! I won't giggle now!" She said, assuring him and he let go of her hand instantly. He didn't want to hurt her in any case.

"I will laugh loudly, instead!" Bondita smirked, turning towards him and he just sighed, breaking into laughter.

"When will you grow up? I can't handle two kids together!" He said resting his hands on his waist and walked back to Rudhi.

Rudhi had started recognising a few people in the family, and her Baba had to be the first one. Rudhi used to clutch onto Anirudh's finger or his shirt tightly and not leave him for hours. She was definitely a Daddy's Princess!

Little Rudhi would always try and touch her Kaka dadu's specs, but her hands were small. She would try to get hold of her Dadu's moustache and make him laugh out loud. Her Dida's kangan were her favourite play, along with many others.

She was undoubtedly the most loved member of the family. Her Kakas would bring gifts for their doll daily! Batuk and Somnath had brought so many soft toys for her.

As Anirudh dressed Rudhi, they walked downstairs for the Naamkaran ceremony. It was grand ceremony, organised by her Grandparents.

The name was already decided, so it didnt take long. Anirudh and Bondita sat down for the Pooja along with baby Rudhi. She lied happily in her Baba's lap, while her Maa softly touched her head.

Anirudh was asked to write Rudhi's Name on a betel leaf.
Kaka and Baba spoke her name into her right ear thrice, while her left ear was covered with the betel leaf. Rudhi was just looking around, her eyes wide open, trying to recognise everyone. Her little pink tongue just stuck out every now and then, which made everyone look at her in awe.

After the ceremony was done, the Daak Naam ceremony was there.

"See! I'm telling you all, already,"Anirudh stood, cradling Rudhi in his arms and announced.
"No weird names for my princess. Like Kopal!" He looked at his Maa and everyone laughed along with her.

"And, I'll call her by as many names I want! No one will interrupt that!" He said and kissed Rudhi's cheek.

Everyone just looked at him in awe, seeing his love for his daughter.

"I'll call her Kaaju!" Batuk jumped with excitement.
Everyone found that name really cute!

"Okay, so I'll call her kaaju, too!" Som announced happily.

"I'll call her Puchki!" Bondita exclaimed and evryone smiled.

"See, she is my fairy, whatever you all say. So I'll call her my Fairy!" Binoy announced and Kaka shook his head, seeing his British- influenced brother.

"She's such a little Roshogulla! How can someone not call her that!" Vibha said, making a cute puppy face.

"But it's already Boudi's name, as her Baba calls her so." Som told, but Vibhavari insisted on calling Rudhi by that name. Anirudh agreed happily.

"She's our little goddess!" Kaka said. "I'll call her Duti! She's the one who'll bring light into our lives!"
Kaka's name was just like the resemblance of his love for his little granddaughter.

"I don't want to give any Daak Naam to my Rudhi!" Maa said. "I really love her name so much! I'll call her with a new name if I want, later."

"Okay!" Anirudh said happily.
"Are you all finally done? Now it's my turn, then!"

He kissed his little princess, who cooed happily in her Baba's arms.
"So, I'll call her with many, many names!... As many as I want! ... If this is dictatorship, let it be!" He laughed.

"She is my little princess and she'll get all the love from her Baba! But yes, I too have a special name for my Rudhi." He said and looked at her lovingly.

"I found her smile and her cooing voice so sweet, infact, the sweetest! That's why, I have decided to call my angel, Mishti! My Mishti!"
He said and Rudhi just stared her Baba, wide- eyed. Everyone really loved the name.

After the dinner, Anirudh came to their room. It was locked and he understood that Bondita might be feeding Rudhi.
He didn't really find anything to be embarrassed or shy about it, atleast from him. But for him, her comfort mattered the most. He smiled and walked to the terrace, without knocking.

As he came down, after a few minutes, Rudhi was lying happily in her cot and cooing softly. Bondita was in the washroom.
He went and picked up his daughter in his arms.

"My Mishti!" He spoke softly. "Your Baba loves you the most, princess!"

Bondita came out and smiled at him, he too smiled back.

"Won't you sleep tonight, babu?" He asked his playful princess who was busy playing with her Baba's collar.

"Pati Babu, I don't think she'll be able to sleep early tonight." Bondita said as she pleated her long hair, again.
"She just woke up a little while ago. And see, how playful she looks!"

"Hmm... So Rudhu baby won't sleep?" Anirudh looked at his daughter with nothing but love.
"Okay then, we'll play together!" He exclaimed happily.
"And let your Maa sleep!"

He walked to his side of the bed and sat down with Rudhi in his arms.
But as soon as he sat down, little Rudhi started crying. Anirudh instantly stood up.

"What happened to her, Bondita?" He asked getting scared.

"Maybe she doesn't want you to sit!... You give her to me, I'll walk her around." Bondita said, getting up from the dressing table stool.

"No need!" Anirudh said softly. "You're really tired! Take some rest, I'll walk my little princess around!" He said and walked to the window.

He showed her the moon, talked to his daughter a lot. Bondita looked at them happily, before falling fast asleep. She was actually tired. Anirudh saw her sleeping and after switching off the lamps, he walked downstairs. Everyone in the house was asleep, so he had a lot of time to spend with his daughter.

"Isn't it great, Rudhi? Now no one will disturb us!" He talked to her and Rudhi just cooed, sticking her little tongue out, as if replying to it all.

Anirudh walked to his study and was continuously telling Rudhi about the house and many memories, he had.

"This study, Mishti!" He siad. "Has seen so much of your Maa Baba! This was the place where your Baba used to scold your Maa. We even cried here, just like you cry!" He said and softly touched his nose to Rudhi's.

"You know, we had even decided to seperate, in this study! And then, we spent our most lovely moments, here, too!" He told her, remembering all their past memories. Remembering, how they had signed the divorce papers in this study and later their first kiss too, had happened here!

"And... Umm... A few more things, which I can't tell you!" He said widening his eyes playfully. "You're still small, shona!"

He saw Rudhi yawning with her little lips wide open and found it extremely cute. He brought her tiny body upto his face and kissed her cheeks lovingly.

Plying with her little hands, he sat by the window and enjoyed the cool breeze and the feeling of fatherhood!

Rudhaanshi, after coming to their lives, just in a few days, had become so special to them. It wasn't a feeling they could have ever known before experiencing it, no one can!
It was just to be felt with time and experience.
They both did not get the chance to talk much or spend time like before, but their love had just grown a bit more, after Rudhi arrived.

He stood up and started to walk again, rocking Rudhi in his arms. He hadn't ever made a little baby sleep, but for Rudhi, he wanted to do it all.

He had heard a very few lullabys in his life, and remembered just one.

He closed the study door, carefully and started singing for his daughter.

This was what he sang. He had been singing this song forever, either for Bondita or just for himself. But that day, as he was singing for his daughter, it was a whole different feeling!

His eyes had little tears as he saw Rudhi slowly drifting into sleep. He didn't know whether the tears were of the happiness of making his child sleep peacefully or just because of his love for her. He just knew that he was crying, looking at his daughter. The feeling, good or bad, was enlightening his heart with an unknown peace.

All these feelings, these experiences were clearly something, he hadn't ventured ever!...

As Rudhi slept, he softly kissed her forehead and walked out of the study. Walking into their room, he made Rudhi lie down between him and Bondita, covering her in her fluffy blanket. As she slept, Anirudh softly patted Rudhi's chest and felt a sleeping Bondita's hand on his own after a while.

"A mother's love is the biggest mystery in this world!" He thought to himself, before drifting into a deep slumber with a smile.
