Nova 17ㄖ The Kagamines

‡‡ Kagamine Residence ‡‡

The short two-week school break had just ended and for the mother of the Kagamines - Anna, seeing her children going to school was the happiest days, for she was able to serve her children the best dishes she could ever cook for them, more special than only serving his husband Allen Kagamine at the table each day when the kids were still asleep.

Getting up five in the morning to prepare the food at the kitchen while humming a certain song, she was happy that her kids were growing fine even though the eldest had its problems getting up early in the morning, especially when getting ready for school.

At the dining area, Allen was at the table having breakfast with Anna.

"My Allen," Anna said.

"Why Anna?" he replied.

"Do you think our son Yohio would be fine?" she said, "I'm just a bit worried about him."

Allen gestured his hand like he was disagreed at her statement.

"You know sweetheart, our son Yohio is a big man now; he will be okay there.." Allen said.

"Are you sure?"

"Very sure, Anna!" he confidently said, picking a bread from the basket at the table. "Even if Rin and Len caused problems their big brother, I know he handled it with manliness!"

Anna sighed. "Oh well dear, I just wish the best for our kids...."

‡‡ Hiyama University, Morning ‡‡

(Inside a certain classroom)

The teacher in front was walking slowly from left to right while explaining the lesson. The beautiful sunlight was shining gently inside and smell of fresh air was flowing in at the wide open windows of the classroom as the very first day after the short break, was starting to unfold.

Yohio, at that very second, was still longing for the bed and he was trying to fight his drowsiness. He was looking at the teacher, yet his eyes were closing constantly like there were weights clinged at them. He was holding his English book side by side with each hand, pretending that he was on track of what was the topic.

"...... As I discussed to you class before we had our short break, clichés in literature was always the-" the teacher said.

When the teacher noticed Yohio, her tone of explaining at class suddenly slowed down like she was trailing off her words, looking sharply at her sleepy student.

She then called the attention of the remaining students. "Okay class, open your books to page 188 and read the note there."

The students followed and read the passage simultaneously while the teacher had her eyes at Yohio, when in that time was trying to 'blend in' by lip syncing.

"Clichés can be avoided when all of these steps were followed. Too much of this could cause a story to be ruined completely. When writing romance stories, make sure you planned it carefully to avoid these errors. We.." the students read, Yohio was throwing random words lazily while his head was dropped at the desk, covered by his book.

When the teacher finally caught him, she gestures her hand at the students to slowly settle down in reading: to stop a certain part. The students followed and all of them, including the furious teacher, looking at Yohio with pity; his voice was left singing in the entire room.

Others were making gossips; some had worries on what could happen to Yohio. They wanted to poke Yohio to stop on reading, but their teacher would not let that happen.

A certain female student left of him was secretly worried on what could be Yohio was about to get at the first day of the class.

"Sweee... Too...e-ven if dees were...." Yohio said at uneven tone, unaware.

Each irritating word that Yohio speaks was like a nightmare at the teacher's ears, making her more mad. She silently grabbed her class planner and went silently towards Yohio's desk. She stopped in front of him and placed the planner vertically, making a wall between the her and Yohio.

She raised her eyeglasses, then knocked at his desk.

The vibration of it at the wooden desk made Yohio snapped out of his sleepiness; slowly lifting his head to see what could be or who could be the one who made the noise.

Without a clue, Yohio just looked at the planner and attempted to process the scene.

"Huh...." Yohio said, drooling. "A planner?"

He further looked and read the label.

"Lesson planner..." He said, "Kiyomi Hiyama, Class 2B"

Afterwards, Yohio looked up and saw the fierce face of his teacher, looking to him.

"Oh..." Yohio trailed, her teacher cut her off.

With all her might and voice, she yelled at Yohio:

"MISTER YOHIO KAGAMINE!"

The voice that the entire class heard was as frightening as a lion's roar and Teacher Kiyomi's keen look at Yohio never left until his full name was called.

Because of it, Yohio was completely shocked and panicked; like there was an electricity running at his seat. He attempted to stand right away but the total terror he had taken caused him to lose balance; he found himself crawling at the floor, the book falling hard at his head.

Teacher Kiyomi crossed her arms while still looking at her student.

"Stand up there Mister Yohio Kagamine!" she said gravely.

"Yes, yes, yes Miss Kiyomi.." he said, collecting his strength to stand up.

"You are not in Swimming class right now Mister Kagamine, so pick yourself up!"

The girl next to him helped Yohio to stand up.

Yohio looked at her. "Thank you Vanessa."

Vanessa returned a quick smile then she picked up Yohio's book, placing it back at his desk.

"Mister Yohio Kagamine...." Teacher Kiyomi said, "Was the short break wasn't enough?"

"No Miss Kiyomi," he answered, scared and cannot look directly at Miss Kiyomi, "I- I just needed to watch after my siblings.."

"What do you mean by that?" she said, "Your siblings were already studying Yohio! Rin and Len were already know how to go at their classes; they know how to do things..."

Miss Kiyomi walked away and returned in front of the class; Yohio just sighed. "....they're already big enough I suppose so why do you still need to look after them?"

"B-but-"

"Mister Kagamine, you will remain here after class. We will talk things later." Miss Kiyomi said, Yohio nodded slowly.

Miss Kiyomi returned at his seat and looked at Vanessa.

"Miss Flower.."

Vanessa stood up. "Yes, Miss Kiyomi!"

"Bring my planner here."

Vanessa bowed. "Hai!"

The moment she held the planner, Vanessa made a short glance at the troubled face of Yohio, then giving the planner back at their teacher.

Afterwards, Miss Kiyomi gave an instruction.

"Please answer those three activities that you will see on page 199."

The class responded and picked out their notebooks then started the activity.

When the class had ended and Yohio received his penalty, he gone out of the classroom.

Outside, he saw Vanessa waiting for him, carrying a bento box for two wrapped in a pink cloth.

"Are you okay, Yohio?" Vanessa asked.

"Yeah, not that much to worry about- I hope so.."

"I- I made a bento for you." Vanessa shyly said.

Yohio looked at the bento boxes Vanessa holds. He smiled. "Thank you, Vanessa!"

Faint shades of red suddenly appeared at Vanessa's cheeks. "S-ince it's the first day of classes since we had our break, I thought that I want to make a bento to someone and the very first person that came into my mind was you Yohio."

Yohio was surprised. "Oh, really Vanessa! I am glad that you made me a bento for me. It makes me smile even this day was brutal one for me."

"I am happy that I made you smile." Vanessa gladly replied.

"Don't worry, I will made a bento specially for you." Yohio said while looking at Vanessa's face, paired with a smile.

Together, they headed down to a tree located at the school grounds to have their lunch.

After they had their lunch on a bench under the large tree, the conversation continued. The bento boxes were at the right side of the bench along with their bags; the two were at the left side, both holding a bottle of strawberry juice.

"Miss Kiyomi is right I think.." Vanessa said, "Rin and Len are indeed big enough. I think they know what is right and wrong at their ages..."

"You don't really know what does my siblings could do..." Yohio said.

"What does those two did to you to make you like that?" Vanessa asked, curious.

"They put concentrated amounts of caffeine at my drinks for the past weeks. And last night was the worst prank they did, not to mention."

"What did they do last night?"

"They put pulverized non-drowse pills at my chocolate drink!"

Vanessa was astounded. " Wow, poor Yohio..."

He mocked a cry. "Yeah.... I know..."

Vanessa patted Yohio's back lightly. Then, she asked another topic.

"So what penalty did Miss Kiyomi gave to you?"

"She wants me to write a short story full of clichés - in relation to our lesson for today." he helplessly said, "And the deadline was tomorrow morning. Much worse, I need to read it in front.."

"Oh... Such a very unfortunate day for you I suppose?" Vanessa said.

He nodded his head. "Yeah... I hope I could survive..."

After the classes, Yohio went home with a very problematic aura. He walked along the road while thinking of his strategy for the penalty he received and how he could deliver it in front of the class.

Then he remembered something.

"Rin has a collection of stories at her room..." he said, "Maybe I could get some cliché stories there..." He said to himself.

After that realization, he quickly ran to their house to ask Rin about it.

When he arrived, he walked in and went at the living area to find his little sister Rin.

"Mum, Dad, I'm home!" Yohio declared, walking towards the living room.

Arriving at the living area, he saw his dad Allen with Rin, both seated near the center table, being Rin drawing something on paper.

"Oh! My hard copy on handsomeness had arrived my Dear!" Allen declared loudly, "Yohio is here! Please take a look on what your sister had drawn using crayons!"

Yohio gone close at the table and when he saw Rin's drawing, he became confused.

"What- is- that!" He said while pointing the drawing. "It looks like a narwhal on alpaca's dress with a pig's feet!"

Rin looked at her brother sharply then said, "Don't underestimate my art! This is a Narpigca!"

"What the heck is a 'Narpigca'?"

When Rin heard Yohio's statement, she gone ballistic. She grabbed the orange paperweights at the table which were made of steel and threw them one by one to Yohio.

"Get out! Get out! Get gone!" Rin angrily said.

Allen just laughed at them. "That's the spirit!"

"Ow, ow, ow!" he said, walking away and heading upstairs.

The sound of the paperweights falling down at the wooden floor were soundly solid and Anna heard it.

"Rin, pick those oranges up and returned them at the table." Anna instructed from the kitchen.

"Yes mum!"

Then, Allen patted Rin's head. "Great job!" then he points out one of the legs in the drawing. "You missed a spot there."

Upstairs, Yohio was greeted by a loud sound coming from one of his younger sister's room, the one that was cream in color and had an orange neon 'x' design at the center.

He sighed. Then, he approached the door and knocked.

"MAYU, PUT THE VOLUME OF THE AMPLIFIER DOWN. I NEED TO HAVE A-"

Suddenly, the door opened and a short black axe came flying off the room, missing Yohio's head by an inch and hitting the door of his room. Afterwards, the door had closed and Yohio face became pale.

Slowly, he looked at the axe and found a note:

-------
"If you want a peaceful life, stay away from my room ~♥"

-From your Loving Sister, Mayu Kagamine :)

P.S.
If you dodged my axe, then, congratulations! You lived to see another day! Ciao, ciao!
------

Feeling helpless, he just opened the door of his room and entered, dragging along his bag; leaving the axe stucked at his door and ignoring the noise outside.

Inside, Yohio laid himself splayed flat his bed, loooking above the ceiling.

"I just need a little rest, then I'll do the story."

Dinner arrived, and like most of the time at thier house, a lively aura could be felt.

They were seated in a circular manner, being their parents seated together: Mayu was at the right side next to Anna; Rin and Len were seated next to Allen and Yohio situated between.

Anna had served steak and saké for her and his husband; Mayu had millefeuille and strawberry parfait; Rin had her orange chicken; Len had his banana cake and milk; Yohio had his salmon sushi and chocolate drink.

"Since Rin and Len did very well today at school, we will celebrate!" Allen said, raising his hand that was holding a cup of saké; the other hugging his wife.

"Today, I had passsed my personal best score in Math!" Len said proudly.

"Well, that was great!" Anna said.

"My previous high score was five!"

"And...." Mayu said.

"Trust me big sister, it's too good to be true..." Rin said to Mayu.

"And my current high score is now six!" Len said.

"Okay..." Mayu said, "you got six out of what Len?"

Before Len could answer, Rin and Mayu were already smiling.

"Its six out of fifty!" Len said.

Mayu smiled. "I know right?"

The moment Anna heard that, her brow suddenly twitched and she smiled uneasily.

"Well dear, that was indeed wonderful!"

Mayu looked at Anna. "Sarcasm, right?"

"I told ya'." Rin added.

"But," Len defended his score, "still five is higher than six!"

Mayu looked at Rin. "Yeah right.... five is higher than six but Rin is much taller than you."

Len was embarrassed and minded his food while Rin and Mayu were smiling brightly.

Allen patted Yohio's back three times, hard. "Why are you so silent today Yohio?"

"Oh..." Yohio thought to himself while taking up his food. "That was way too strong father. I think I just got a broken bone. Ouch."

Rin looked at Allen. "Big brother is thinking about Flower at the moment!"

"You mean Vanessa, his long time friend for ten years?"

"Yes, that girl father!"

Allen smiled weirdly to Yohio, obviously because of the saké, and patted again his back.

"You are starting to get interested to girls, don't you my son!" he said happily, "You really are my son, you really are a true son of a Kagamine!"

"No, no, that's not true...." Yohio thought to himself, trying to chew down his food to explain immediately, ".... Ugh....Rin...."

"Well, I think that is a great news." Anna said.

"Indeed a very great news..." Mayu sarcastically said, looking to Yohio, "It is so great, we can now confirm that Big brother is a guy!"

"Yes!" Allen said, "Yohio is a man!" then he raised his arms. "Let's celebrate to that!"

Yohio just made a hopeless stare, Mayu was smiling to him. "Oh well..."

Anna stood up and assisted her husband. "You have too much tonight I guess. Here, big guy, let me help you up."

Anna helped Allen to stand up and went at the living area to rest. Step by step she carefully bringing him towards the couch.

Then, when Allen was seated, she sat beside him and smiled while looking at their children.

To Anna, having a happy life together with them was the best reward she could ever wish for. A reward that is much valuable than any other material things money can ever buy.

Anna stroked down Allen's head.

"Rest yourself there sweetheart." Anna said softly, Allen just mumbled in dizziness.

"Love you too honey!" she replied, followed by a kiss in the cheek.

*****
Aiseca's Note:

This part was supposed to be posted yesterday but Wattpad ate half of the update when I checked it out last night so I have to recreate the lost parts.

Anna is played by Sweet Ann.
Allen is an older version of Len.
Vanessa is played by V Flower.
Yohio's English teacher is the gender bend of Kiyoteru Hiyama.
Rin has a dozen orange steel paperweights at that time, each weighs a pound.
The 'Narpigca' reference can be seen on @FluffyAlicorn12 's random book; the part entitled: "A Narpigca".
To Fluffy, yes I dropped Avanna and put V Flower instead.
And yes, this is a very long part. This is the start of Chapter 5 at this book.
