"So? How was it~?"

A self-satisfying grin appeared on it's face.

And soon, one appeared on Izuku's face as well.

Peeking over his shoulder as it began floating in the air, the past desire narrowed it's eyes as it's grin grew cockier now with Izuku's face — it saw Izuku's same grin and felt like it just conquered the underworld.

"Oh~? Someone seems to like it, huh?" It said as one of it's hands slowly brushed through Izuku's messy hair gently while the other caressed his cheek from behind.

"I... I-I... I don't understand." Izuku looked down, his grin still plastered on his face, "What is this feeling? It feels so... It feels so amazing, like — words can't describe it."

The green haired boy turned to his alter ego, brows knitted together as he asked, "What did you do to me?"

It smiled casually as it cupped Izuku's cheeks, still floating in the air, "I showed it to you, didn't I? How much you need it... How much you really yearn for it... It's great, right? You want to do that too, right? You like, don't you, Izuku? You want to kill them. You want to kill Kacchan and everyone else. You want it. Just say it once and it's all yours... I promise that."

"But... But it seems so selfish. I can't just do it because I like it, because I want to or because it feels so goddamn great. It's a selfish wish. I can't. I shouldn't. It's wrong." Izuku replied, his grin slowly faded into a frown as he turned away.

"Oh dear," The alter ego said in a rather soothing voice as it floated next to the green haired boy, "Every wish is selfish and sometimes being selfish is fair."

"No it's not—!" Izuku tried to prove it wrong but his alter ego just placed a finger on his lips and shushed him.

"Shh... Listen to me when I'm speaking. You'll get your turn too," It said, now hovering right in front of Izuku's emerald green eyes.

The green haired boy, on the other hand, just silently nodded as it continued.

"You say it's selfish. But what is selfish? Thinking about what you want. Thinking about what you yearn for. Thinking about your own well-being. Putting yourself before others. Taking care of yourself before anything or anyone else. Must seem foreign to you, right? Because you never think of yourself." It grabbed both of Izuku's shoulders and looked at him dead in the eyes.

"Yeah... And I think that I shouldn't. And after this, I'm pretty sure I will never even consider it." Izuku retorted as he brushed of it's hands from his shoulders and tried to walk away from it.

"How rude... I'm trying to help, you know?" The alter ego deadpanned.

But it wasn't going to give up on persuading the boy to the dark side of the world so easily. It had waited years, years to come out and only to find out what? That the green head doesn't want it anymore? That Izuku doesn't want to take revenge? That he had already moved on from his horrible past?

Hell if that stopped it. It was going to make it's mark on the world one way or the other.

It kept floating behind Izuku, never leaving his side. The boy tried his best to ignore it, to ignore that feeling. But with his alter ego lurking around him, it was more than just difficult and troublesome.

"Please go away. Stop following me." Izuku said in slight anger and frustration.

A hurt and surprised expression made it's way to the alter ego's face — which was fake. It whined, "But I'm the one at the helm! You don't have a choice! You have to agree with me or you're never waking up." It threatened, pointing a finger at the green haired boy who wasn't even looking at it.

"Who said I didn't have a choice?" Izuku said in a stoic manner.

"Wait. What do you mean? What choice?" It asked before something clicked in it's mind, "Oh! Oh..."

It stopped for a minute, thinking about what Izuku meant before catching upto him and shook him violently by his shoulders, "Hey, what the hell?! Are you out of your mind?! That's suicidal!"

"Well, it's better than to listen to you and turn into a merciless murderer!" Izuku replied, climbing back on the mountain.

"You can't be serious! People kill their loved ones to save themselves! What's your deal?!" It yelled in disbelief.

"For someone to be living inside my mind, you have a lot to catch up on." Izuku crossed his arms on his chest, "I'd rather die than to hurt someone I care about."

By that point, Izuku had reached to a much less steeper part of the mountain. He just walking forward, trying to ignore the copy of himself following right behind him.

Though on the green head's previous statement, the alter ego had stopped in it's tracks and came back onto the ground as Izuku kept moving forward. All expressions vanished from it's face. No smirks. No grins. No disbelief. No look of defeat or victory.

Just a dark, expressionless face. A heavy aura surrounded it as it's head hung low, curly bangs covering the eyes.

"Fine then... Looks like I have to use force now." It said underneath his breath.

Izuku heard a slight murmur so he turned around, "What was that—!?"

But before Izuku could say anything else, that thing floated up and rushed towards him. It quickly clutched onto his head forcefully before turning into the same black misty figure it was before. The green haired boy screamed in agony as the figure's white eyes began glowing intensely, representing it's increase in strength over the mindscape.

Izuku, on the other hand, felt like his mind was about to split up in half or his head was going to explode. That thing was now altering his mind and it was excruciating as hell. Unbearable and unstoppable pain followed throughout his body. He was utterly helpless.

"Y̶͏oų̛̛́͡͏̶.̷̷̶͜͟ ̡͢H̷̴̴̵̷̨͘͜͜͟͢͜á̶͢͠͠v̵̢̢̡̛̛͘͘͘͟͠͞e̵̢͟͏̷̶̛́͝͝.̷̨̡̡͟͡͝͠͡͏̵̵̡̕̕͝ Ǹ̶̢̛̛́̕͟͡͞͠͡͞ớ̀.̷͢ ̵́͢͜͡͡͏C̵̢̢͞͡h̴́͞oį̴̶̶̴̵̶̷̨̛̛̀̕̕̕͢͝͡͠͡c̴̶̸̨̡̧̨̛̀́͘̕̕͟e̢̕͟͠͞.̷̧̢̨̢̢́͘͟͝͞͡͞͏̨̛"

It said in a distorted voice.

Within a few moments, Izuku was unconscious. The figure placed his on the ground, the boy was completely limp and motionless. He took small, slow and ragged breaths and that was all he could do.

The figure silently hovered over him, caressing a darkened hand across the green haired boy's face.

It closed in and whispered in his ear, "Don't sleep for long, Izuku~ I'm calling in an old friend of ours~ You have to see him so we can continue growing this little error..."

It was all falling together for the figure now. The moment their little guest entered this realm and meets Izuku, that was when everything would go down. That's when it would win. Because at first, it had control over this mindscape. But now it has control over the mindscape as well as Izuku.

It walked to a side and stared at the sky that was now showing a never-ending night. The sun would never rise again here as long as he ruled over this mindscape.

A dark chuckle escaped it's lips,

"I can't wait to see you again, Kacchan~"

Bakugou had snuck out of UA campus way after midnight.

He never got another message from Midoriya despite him texting him and asking him about what was happening, why did he need to be there, where was the person who was after him now and a lot of other things. But they were all left unanswered.

The ash blonde hadn't got anything from the green except for those messages. He figured taking anyone else with him would be meaningless as they were on the verge of losing g their memories. They would prove to be nothing but burden. Plus, the ash blonde didn't have enough time to go ahead and explain everything to a teacher —who might have no idea who Midoriya was — and then ask for permission to leave grounds.

All he knew was that the green fucker could literally end up dead any second if he didn't do shit.

And so, the ash blonde made his way to the hospital where Midoriya was.

Once he arrived, he had to remind the nurses that there was a patient named Izuku Midoriya admitted in the hospital and was on his deathbed that he needed to help.

Now opening the door to the green head's hospital room, Bakugou stormed in and went to his side.

Pale, numb, cold and lifeless. That was what Midoriya looked like. His lips were turning blue due to the cold. And his heart beat was also going very dangerously slow. It looked like he would be a flat-liner any moment now.

Bakugou stared at him for a bit, trying to search for the simplest of movements. But he only got the green head's chest rising and falling slightly every now and then.

Then the ash blonde pulled out his phone.
