Whoops (Seokcas/Lujin)
Never in Lucas's life has he prepared a birthday cake before.
Today is the young master, Kim Taehyung's, seventeenth birthday. Let's just say that here since Lucas has be recruited as a medic, they celebrate birthdays very.... Extravagantly. For Mrs. Kim she was given so many accessories and even thrown a large party. Taehyung is not much of a party person, but he bared with it for his parent's sake.
Lucas has only been given a few opportunities to see the royal family but mostly from a distance away, he's always too busy aiding someone on a daily basis to see anyone else.
Right now he was assigned to help in the kitchen for the birthday party celebration, and the baker is showing him how to frost a cake properly with his own miniature cake as practice since he wanted to give something to the younger master himself. He's heard that Taehyung is very.... Soft when it comes to someone giving him present like this. It would be nice to know with who he's working for as well, so mind as well pull off a good impression
After about a few minutes of Lucas trying his best to frost the cake with red frosting. He smiled widely at his results.
It's a little bit uneven and kinda not so.... Neat but the flower like designs on the top makes up for it perfectly.
"Ah! There you go kid! Soon you will be a whole baker on your own!" The baker beams, making Lucas feel even more proud of his creation as he watches Ms. Min slide it to a plate, "I'm sure Taehyungie would love this! He's very fond of small gestures."
Lucas only squeals happily and takes the plate of the two layered cake, "Thank you so much for helping me! I will take this to him right now."
After saying more thank you's, Lucas exists the kitchen as he giddily makes his way to Taehyung's chambers. He likes doing stuff like this for people, especially on birthdays. It's almost like his happy pill, he just loves making people happy on these occasions.
Hopefully Taehyung will like this very mu-
Lucas's body suddenly collides with another one full force.
Sending the cake to fly forward from his hands.
Lucas's whole face dropped when the cake slams onto someone's face. The boy beside the person stares at him with wide shocked eyes before breaking a smile and starts to laugh loudly.
That's when Lucas realized that the person laugh is indeed Kim Taehyung.
Oh no..
Oh the horror that fell Lucas's face as the cake slides down the person's face, to their clothes and down to drop on the floor.
To their shoes.
Lucas completely lost his mind.
"Oh my- I'm so sorry!" He shrieks as he bows over a fifty times, "I wasn't looking and-"
"Clearly you weren't fucking look you slender man looking ass!"
Slenderman?
Excuse you?
Lucas instantly gets up right, looks down at the man's intense glare through the red frosting on his melanin skin. Maybe if he wasn't decorated in red than Lucas perhaps would've found him attractive.... Perhaps, if it wasn't for that attitude.
Taehyung is still laughing beside him, leaning against the wall with hands pressed to his stomach, "I think red suits you dear cousin."
Cousin!?!?
Oh no... Just what I needed
This is it, Lucas is going to die or he's going to be locked in a cell for the remainder of his life.
The other male murderously glares at Taehyung with a deep scowl, "Not fucking funny! I was looking forward to wearing this!"
Nervously Lucas turns to Taehyung and bows, "I made the cake for you sir, it was going to be my birthday present."
Aw really?
Taehyung instantly frowns down his laughter, glancing at his cousin coated with cake and back to the panicking male. He didn't say anything for a moment, not until after he grabs a pieces of cake from his cousin's blazer and brings it to his mouth.
He chews on the pastry for a moment, widening his lips all so suddenly and looks at Lucas, "It's really good! Thank you!"
It felt like Lucas's heart was touched by an angel, making him grin widely in excitement, "Really? I'm so glad you enjoyed it master."
"Call me Taehyung please," The other says kindly and turns to the clearly annoyed other, "And he's-"
"Not interested," Seokjin snarls, walking past Lucas with a sharp shoulder bump. This kinda made Lucas's smile falter, following the other with his eyes and a deep pout.
"I.... I didn't mean to-"
"Oh hush," Taehyung snickers at the sadden tall man, linking their arms together, "What's your name?"
Instantly Lucas's cheeks blushed pink, not fighting back his shy smile, "Lucas."
"Well Lucas," Taehyung gleams as he guides him away from the mess, "I have a feeling we're going to become great friends!"
From that day on, it felt like Taehyung would come up with any excuse just to see him again, which made Lucas very happy since he got the younger to take a liking in him. Sometimes Taehyung requested for him while he's he was stitching someone, and that's usually a big deal if someone from a royal requested for you. At first it was really cute, but then it began to interfere with Lucas's job and they only had two medics.
As much as Lucas didn't want it to become an issue, it was and he didn't know exactly how to approach it.
So one day while Lucas was watching how Taehyung combs his hair from his dresser, he takes a deep breath and sits up, "Taehyung, I need to talk to you about something?"
"Yes?" He hums, his eyes still focused on the mirror.
It pained Lucas to see him this happy and hopes he just doesn't take what he's about to say so negatively. So with a small pinch of courage, Lucas takes a deep breath and stands up straight.
"So, you know how I have a job here... Right?"
Taehyung hums with an enthusatic nod.
"And.... You know that one must do their job when they have one."
"Yes, I know silly," Taehyung giggles and turns on his chair, meeting his eyes, "What is this about?"
Oh why is he looking at me like that?
It just makes it so nerve wrecking.
Lucas gulps thickly and slowly nods, "Well it's just.... I like hanging out with you and such but.... You can't just call me while I'm doing my job... It's my responsibility to do what I'm assigned to do, and I can't be distracted."
Taehyung's wide smile suddenly drops.
Oh please don't take this the wrong way-
"Y-You don't want to be around me anymore?"
Fuck!
"No! It's not that!" Lucas panics, shaking his head, "It's just I have to do my job, but we can always hang out when I'm free-"
The brush Taehyung was holding suddenly flies to his direction, forcing him to instinctively move away as it hits slams to the wall. Lucas stares at the comb on the floor now, lips gapped in shock.
Did he just try to-
"FUCK YOU THEN!" Taehyung suddenly screams, making Lucas whirl around back to him. This person.... Who looked like Taehyung but isn't, snarls angrily at Lucas with murderous eyes, almost as though they are seconds away from murdering him brutally on the spot.
What the fuck?
"I-I Taehyung-"
"NO! YOU PATHETIC PIECE OF SHIT! GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY SIGHT!" Taehyung roars, throwing another brush to Lucas's direction, that he instantly missed as he runs towards the door.
When he slams the door shut behind him, panting heavily as a whole war goes on back in Taehyung's room. This is so odd, he's never this temperamental, less with him. Yeah there's been a few times he's seen Taehyung lose his patience with some guards but other than that he's very happy and calm.
What the fuck?
Did he fuck up that badly?
He just didn't want to get into trouble-
"What the fuck did you do to him?!"
Lucas snaps his eyes to a running Seokjin, Taehyung's cousin, who's approaching him with this intense worry gaze in his eyes. For a moment Lucas forgot how to breath. Just the way Seokjin's raven hair covers over his forehead in ruffled way made his eyes appear much more wide and innocent. Ever since that day of the cake accident, he's seen the beautiful man a few times around the empire always along side Taehyung.
He's tried multiple times to apologize for what happened, even made him a little cupcake and let it outside his door.
The next morning he checked to see the cupcake crushed on the floor instead.
He knows Seokjin hates his guts and Lucas's tender heart doesn't want that to be the case at all.
"N-Nothing," Was all Lucas could manage to stutter before Seokjin grabs the collar of his shirt and bangs him against the wall.
"I swear you better start talking."
By now Lucas is shaking in anxiety, shaking his head, "I d-didn't do anything. I just told him that I had to focus on my job and that I couldn't be around as often because of that-"
"AH FUCKING ASSHOLE!"
Both Seokjin and Lucas look back to the room where the yelling came from, hearing the storming only growing worse and worse from inside. Seokjin then looks at Lucas with glaring eyes, "You better not be lying to me."
"I'm not! Honest!" Lucas pleads, daring himself to place his hands on Seokjin's wrists, "You know I wouldn't hurt Taehyung."
Seokjin continues to glare up into his eyes, almost as if debating with his words in his mind. After another scream from inside the room, Seokjin let's Lucas go, "Go to the library, I'll meet you there," Was all he said before going into Taehyung's room.
This left Lucas's mind spinning. His mind began to spin to the possible possibilities as to why Taehyung suddenly began to act like this. He's studied psychology and biology during college, worked as an EMT for a year and then moved onto being a doctor. He thought closely to the what he said, to how Taehyung reacted, the sudden change in his expression and how different to how it was.
It didn't leave Lucas alone. When he got to the library, he instantly scoured the shelves in hopes to look for something, anything, a psychology book or something that can possible help him out. This is not just a regular mood swing.
What felt like hours was probably only minutes before Lucas stopped when the door suddenly plopped open, revealing Seokjin entering with a worn out expression on his face.
"He's calm," He says lowly, going to sit on one of the chairs, "He just had an angry episode-"
"He has Dissociative Identity Disorder," Lucas says more as a statement than a question, making Seokjin freeze on the spot.
Lucas didn't stop though, he marches right up to Seokjin with a pointed look, "I studied this type of stuff. Is he even taking medication for it-"
"No..... He's seen a few psychologists, even psychiatrists, but..... We don't trust anyone with Taehyung, especially Karma."
Karma?
Lucas's brain raked through all the possibilities on who Karma could be but then it clicked, after the look Seokjin gave him.
Taehyung's alter.
"Karma..... Is he his physical protector or-"
Seokjin finally explodes, "We don't know much about any of this okay! Karma barely opens up about it, all we do know is how he was formed, that's it!" And he flops down to the couch, hands on his face in frustration, "Karma would sometimes pretend to be present while he's Taehyung and I.... I don't even know.... I don't know what to do."
There's so much devastation behind Seokjin's voice that Lucas feels a small sense of pity for him. This condition is definitely not common, and apart from the person diagnosed to process with this, it's also hard for the family around as well if they don't understand.
So hesitantly Lucas sits beside Seokjin, trying to find the correct words in his head, "If you'd like, or if I can get the permission from your family, I could offer him psychotherapy."
This made Seokjin furrow his eyebrows and look up at him, "What's that?"
"Well.... It's this type of treatment that involves talking. This will get Taehyung to be able to speak on his behalf, about his feelings or thoughts and be able to feel comfortable talking about his condition, in that he can also understand his disorder and his alter better," Lucas explains, moving his gaze down to his hands, "I.... I studied this for years and have worked with patients with all types of conditions, I wouldn't mind helping Taehyung at all."
It was silent for a moment, maybe a moment too long and Lucas began to panic if he may have overstepped his boundaries. However when Seokjin suddenly clasped his hands over his, he felt like he could properly breath now.
So he looks up at him and for the first time since he's met him, he's smiling with tears beaming his eyes.
"Thank you."
So after their subtle talk, Lucas got the permission from Taehyung's parents themselves after Seokjin managed to persuade them and has been meeting with Taehyung now with a more definer purpose. Taehyung understood what was going on, so did Karma, and that didn't stop him from pretending to be Taehyung most of the times.
After the time that he's been meeting with him, he began to catch onto small hints when it's Taehyung and Karma, and it's most on their tone of voice. Taehyung is soft like a cloud, very calm and passive. Meanwhile Karma is threatening, almost like a gun. However as time passed by, Lucas began to find a way to make Karma comfortable enough to let Taehyung out.
No guards, no weapons, and no phones.
It's almost like leaving Lucas defenseless if Karma even tried to attack, but that resulted with Taehyung being present while Karma remained co-conscious.
Well, not only has that level of trust has been building up, but also a little tender buzz in Lucas's heart to the cousin of the young prince. At first Seokjin would only see Lucas just to check up on Taehyung alone, but then after Lucas attempted to leave another cupcake by his door, Seokjin this time accepted it and they knew that now they don't have to only speak about Taehyung's condition while they're together.
Lucas didn't know when or how the emotion began to develop for the raven haired man, but it was evidently there. He enjoyed those small moments when they grew the habit of sneaking out their rooms after hours to walk around the garden, talking about their childhood memories while pointing out to the stars. After months upon months passed, Lucas became an expert on making sweets by the amount of times he's baked Seokjin a cupcake. The other would only playfully scold him saying that he's going to gain weight if he doesn't stop.
Did Lucas stop? Absolutely not.
He likes doing these things for Seokjin, especially seeing how happy it makes him.
Taehyung was more oblivious about the forming flower that was blooming in his empire, but Karma wasn't. No matter how secretive these two would be, he's not an idiot to recognize certain things. This actually was made him become more cooperative with Lucas, after seeing how happy he made his cousin whenever they were together.
Soon Lucas began to notice how Karma's tone with him would soften up, even spoke to him about a few of his own memories. One day Taehyung even entered their session much more happily because him and Karma have been communication much more effectively with each other.
What a relief that definitely sounded.
However one day while he was in the midst of going to Seokjin's room for their usual time to hang out since he's free from duties, he saw something that... Was just so unexpected.
Taehyung looked like he was walking towards the library with a guard in tail as usual, but suddenly the guard trailed his hand down to Taehyung's butt and squeezed hard. Lucas was just about to step in, maybe snap the guy's fingers off, but Taehyung suddenly turns around so quickly and slaps the guy across the face.
"Leave me the hell alone! Don't you ever dare lay a fucking hand on me!" He screams angrily, making the guard scramble back and run away from the infuriated man. Lucas's mind somewhat zoned into place because that sounded like neither Karma or Taehyung.
That didn't stop him from running to the other male, "Hey Taehyung, are you-"
That's when he saw it, the tears glistening Taehyung's eyes like large crystal pools in those chocolate brown eyes. When Taehyung looks up at Lucas, his lips trembled fiercely, "H-He touched me.... Y-You saw it, r-right? I didn't l-let him, I swear-"
"Shh it's okay," Lucas cooes, reaching his hand up but stops, "Come, let's talk about this somewhere else okay?"
Taehyung only squeezes his eyes shut and leans his body onto Lucas, sobbing anxiously. Lucas only looks down at the shaken man and comfortingly puts an arm around his body before guiding him down the hallway and to his room. The second they stepped inside, Lucas took him to one of his loveseat chairs and sat him down while crouching in front of him.
"Let it out, it's okay," Lucas assures to the crying man, who's hiccupping his sobs with his body shaking feverishly, "You're safe.... Okay? You're safe."
They don't know how long they stayed like this, with Lucas comforting him while Taehyung just cried, not that he minded it either way. Truth is, he's never seen Taehyung appear this broken, and it makes Lucas assume that this may be something that's like an emotional trigger for him.
After a while, Taehyung slowly calms down his sobs to small sniffles, staring down at his hands holding tightly onto Lucas for dear life.
As if his life depended on it.
"T-Thank you," He whispers, sniffling with his tears now dried out, "I didn't know I needed that."
Once again did Lucas notices the subtle change in pitch of Taehyung's voice, slightly higher but not that evidently noticeable. His legs are squeezed together and his expression is almost close to it being emotionless. Lucas was trying to determine if this was Karma or Taehyung but it was beginning to grow hard to distinguish that.
So Lucas only nods with a soft smile, "Sometimes when we hold so much pain in, it's good to let it out, you know?" He says lowly, making Taehyung nod slowly to this with a small quiver on his lips.
"Y-You're right."
He waited a few moments of the other to calm down more settled before finally clearing his throat, "So... I'm wondering something, can I ask you?"
Taehyung eyes became a bit more darker but regardless he nods, keeping that soft expression on his face.
"Are you Karma or Taehyung?"
For a moment Taehyung blinks at his face, furrowing his eyebrows, "I'm Taehyung."
Lucas studies his face well, frowning slowly, "You don't have to lie to me.... You're safe. I won't let anyone hurt you."
Taehyung studies his eyes like a book, lips now forming into a thin line before he suddenly sits up a bit more straighter with a slight hooded expression, "Promise this stays between us?"
Now Lucas didn't want to make a promise that he wasn't sure would be well to keep from Taehyung, but regardless he slowly nods to the request. It may be something that can be discussed later on.
After the other felt more comfortable, they removed their hands from Lucas's hand, "You're right, I'm not Taehyung," They whispers, moving their gaze down, "My name is V, and I'm female so pleasure don't refer to me as he/him."
A new alter?
Or an alter that's now coming to the light?
Lucas slowly twitches a small smile and extends out a hand, "Well V, I'm Lucas."
She twitches a hesitant smile to this and shakes his hand, "I know... I've been more so present for a few meetings..... I appreciate you helping Taehyungie."
Her voice is so caring and soft, yet it has a bit of coldness depth into it. She clearly is debating whether or not to trust him, but that's something he's not rushing for.
"So.... What's your role in the system?"
That's when V's lips slowly drops to a frown, gulping thickly as he lets go of Lucas's hand, "Well.... The trauma holder and caretaker. I make sure Taehyung is being well taken care of while keeping memory of everything that happens, the bad stuff."
So Karma is the physical protector, while V is the emotional protector in a way.
Interesting.
Lucas slowly nods in understanding to this, offering her a comforting pat on her shoulder, "Well you don't have to dwell with it alone. I know we just met and I don't expect you to trust me, but if you're ever feeling overwhelmed.... You can always lean onto me whenever you need it."
Slowly that tough wall behind V's eyes slightly shakes, only able to give Lucas a slow nod, "I don't trust anyone, but I'll keep that in mind. Just...... Don't tell Taehyung about me. I will properly introduce myself sooner or later and I prefer it coming from me."
From that day on, Lucas never uttered a word about V to Taehyung, just as he promised.
Things were beginning to look better for Lucas while the time being there, but of course when a source of happiness blooms, a sprinkle of poison is bound to try to kill it.
That poison was the news that Seokjin was to be betrothed to another heir of an empire.
It was as though someone shot his chest over a thousand times when he heard about it in the announcement at this party. He couldn't breath because of how much pain his chest was in, especially when Seokjin made eye contact with him from the stage. He couldn't take how suffocating it felt so he just walked out of that place without a second thought.
From there.... Lucas has chose to avoid Seokjin no matter how hard it was for him. Obviously Seokjin would always catch him and try to talk to him but Lucas would only say he's busy, when he's not, and leave him there while he tries to dwell with his feelings alone like a coward.
This whole thing was effecting him so much that Taehyung didn't even notice it as he would blab about how happy he is for his cousin and how romantic it is. Lucas being his psychologist only nods and would try to keep professional despite the need to wanting to slam his face against the table repeatedly.
During one session though Karma was the one who fronted while Taehyung was in mid excitement for the wedding, clearing his throat as he leans back against the chair.
"You're hurt and you're not saying anything, why?"
Lucas looks up from his notebook to notice the clear changes in voice, sighing heavily, "I don't express myself while all my focus is on Taehyung. I shouldn't put my feelings out there if I know it'll probably ruin his happiness.
It's been months since the announcement that Seokjin was a now a somewhat taken man, and it still brings Lucas to great pain to having to think about not having shot his chances with him before. As if that was even possible with this life.
Karma notices the sullen gleam in Lucas's eyes and hums, "You know Lucas, I still remember something you told Taehyung while he was breaking down about his confusion to this condition we have, " He says calmly with fingers crossed, "You told him that this wasn't a disease. This shouldn't be viewed at something with hate or let alone as something than can't be understood as a stigma. You told him that it's hard to understand, yes, but it's something that isn't impossible to discover more about with a little more time and patience. That was what made me trust you. You didn't see us as anything less than what we are and that is someone Taehyung needs in his life, someone to accept our existence as a whole with respect."
This caught Lucas off guard.
From the time he's known Karma, he's not exactly an emotional type of person, let alone does he even speak about his thoughts that often. So to hear this, how much his life has impacted on his and Taehyung's life in a positive way sends a wave of comfort to fill him in.
He's hurt, yes, but at least he's not alone.
That day, Lucas vowed to always be there for Taehyung and his system until his last breath.
What he didn't know was the vow would come to bite him in the ass one day.
With a bullet wound on his chest.
Lucas was simply hanging out with Taehyung outside the garden when a man somehow sneaked in and manage to land a bullet to Lucas, who shield Taehyung from being injured. It all happened so fast when a bunch of guards came in to detain the man while Karma carried Lucas across the mansion and to the medic room.
"Fuck! I don't know how to do this!" Karma panics, seeing all the blood coming out of Lucas's body.
The other grunts under his breath to the pain as he pressed against the wound with his hand, "Switch to Taehyung, I taught him how to do this."
Karma's eyes became dark, shaking his head feverishly, "N-No, this is too intense for him-"
"You have to let him try Karma! I can't do this on my own!" Lucas pleads, his face scrunching up to how numb his arm feels now, "Trust him.... Just trust him."
So with great hesitancy Karma sinks back while letting Taehyung come to the light. Almost instantly Taehyung shrieks to the scene before his eyes, his hands shaking, "W-What happened?"
"Bullet wound on the sternocostal head," Lucas grunts, with his head back to the pillow, "You will have to pull out the wound with the pliers, it's at least four centimeters in."
Instantly Taehyung didn't waste time in getting to work. Apart from spending most of their time together, Lucas has taught Taehyung all about the medical portion of his job. One time he watched as Taehyung stitched a man all on his own without any help. Taehyung has great memory and he learns quick, just like his cousin.
After preparing all the necessities he'll need and preparing Lucas up for surgery, he inject Lucas with anesthetic and that knock him out completely. In this moments of unconscious, Seokjin barged into the room right when Taehyung pulled out the bullet wound.
"Taehyung! What are you-"
"Shut up I can't be distracted!" Taehyung snaps monotone, putting the bullet aside and cleans around the area, "If you're going to be in here, remain quiet."
And so he did. Seokjin sat on one of the beds beside the one Lucas is on, staring anxiously at his with worried eyes. The second he heard about what happened he quickly raced here without any thought process in mind. Currently their parents are out of the country to finish off a business deal, but it didn't take long for a guard to contact them to inform them of this.
All Seokjin can do now is wait anxiously, hoping that this won't result with Lucas actually dying.
Long moments pass and Taehyung finally finished. The heart monitor is beeping steadily and the wound is bandaged up and sealed tightly.
Taehyung leans back against his chair, removing his gloves and mask covering his mouth and nose with a heavy sigh, "Done... He's going to be okay."
It almost felt as though Seokjin was able to breathe once again. He lowers his head, squeezing his eyes shut to hold back this need he has to cry. He misses being around Lucas so much and this stupid engagement is fucking everything up. At first he didn't mind it but after seeing how much Lucas has been avoiding him and now that he got fucking shot....
Seokjin doesn't want to lose him.
He can't lose him.
"You know... When he wakes up, it would be ideal to talk about some issues you both are clearly avoiding."
Seokjin looks up to Karma's familiar tone, who is staring at Lucas intently before meeting his train of eyes, "You nearly lost him once, don't do it again," Was all he said before getting up from his chair, cleaning up the area before walking out the room.
If only it was that easy. If only the weight of this empire didn't fall on his shoulder and everyone counted on him to create a greater empire by marrying this psychopathic brat. The two clearly lack any type of chemistry or connection, no matter how hard they tried.
They're just not meant for each other.
He knows Yoongi's heart belongs to someone else that isn't to him, and Seokjin can completely relate to that.
Seeing Lucas here now, breathing peacefully through the drug in his body with the band on his chest, Seokjin doesn't want to hold back himself anymore.
Karma is right..... He lost him once, he's not going to do it again.
Hours upon hours passed that Seokjin stayed here to wait for Lucas to wake up, not wanting to eat anything from his loss of appetite. He doesn't want to leave until he knows that Lucas is completely fine.
He has to be okay.
In the midst of him running his fingers along side Lucas's fingers, he notices the way his hand twitched so suddenly. Seokjin freezes for a moment, watching the way Seokjin slowly clasps his hand around his.
Instantly he shoots his head up, seeing Lucas already staring at him with a tired smile on his lips.
"You look so pretty when you're concentrated."
A wave of warmth flooded Seokjin's chest, fighting back his smile as he slowly interlaces their fingers together, "You look peaceful sleeping," He whispers back, glancing at the wound, "How are you feeling?"
"I remember everything, feel a mild pain but that's because of the drug still in my body," He murmurs while blinking a few times, "Do you mind doing a few examinations just to make sure?"
Instantly Seokjin stood up, puts the gloves on and did everything as Lucas has taught him. He would ask him to do specific signs with his hands just to make sure he can move them, along with his legs and feet. He checked his reflected movements in his eyes with a light, tested his senses and changed his band on his chest.
After he was done, he sits on the chair beside him, "Everything seems okay, but we're going to have to check in a few hours just in case since you're still fresh from surgery," He says sophisticatedly as he throws the gloves away, "All in all.... You're alive."
Lucas looks like as if he's been told he's being given a million dollars because his eyes are sparkling in so much admiration and pride that even made Seokjin feel proud of himself. Even if they didn't speak often, Seokjin always remembers everything Lucas teaches him.
"I'm proud of you," Lucas whispers, once again finding his hand, "Even with Taehyung too, I didn't doubt he'll perform this well."
Seokjin softly smiles at his and rubs his hand with his thumb, "Well you taught me this... Of course I would remember."
It was silent now, a more of an anticipating silence.
They knew this was coming, for them to talk about the evident elephant in the room whenever they're together.
And Seokjin initiates the conversation first, " I was scared, you know? He whispers lowly, staring down at their hands, "I was afraid I lost you... For good."
Lucas sees the delicate tone of Seokjin's voice, grips his hand tighter in reassurance, "And leave you behind? Never."
That same warmness was there and Seokjin had to take deep breathes in order to control himself, "But you did leave me.... You just ignored me all these months and that hurt."
"I didn't want to, but I just had to," Lucas tries to explain, "It hurt seeing everyone so excited for this engagement and I couldn't bare to see your face without it hurting.... I feel something for you, and I tried not to but I did."
Seokjin inhales the words like a drug, wanting nothing more than to cry out in joy. So Lucas did feel the same that he did too, and was just avoiding him to not feel hurt.
That's.... That's a relief that Seokjin doesn't even have words.
"I do too," Seokjin says back, slowly looking up to meet his eyes, letting his tears finally breakthrough, "God, how much I missed you."
It all happened quick when Lucas suddenly yanks Seokjin to him, grabbing his neck and slamming their lips together. Even if it ached his wound, it healed his heart to the chills that spread his body like electricity. Seokjin instantly kisses him back, fighting back his smile as he feels their hearts slowly molding together.
To beat one melody.
They didn't know that the day after Yoongi would come in with Hoseok to break off the engagement, and when that did occur that was literally the best news that they've heard in years.
Since then they've been together, filling each other with the amount of love that built within time in their souls; knowing deep down inside this is how they want to spend the rest of their lives ahead.
Until their last breath.

A/N:
This is the most cutest thing I have imagined in my head.
You know that last moment there was meant to connect with the one with Yeosang and Jimin, when Seokjin came in. The reason he left with a smile was because he remembered this moment, with him and Lucas.
Wow now I'm sad.
Up next is more of a fragment memory between Yeosang and Jimin, and from there idk if I should do one about Taemin and Jimin's past to make more sense.
Alrighty lets get it!!!
I PURPLE YOU!!! <33
