66: False Identity

Jimin couldn't sleep every night that he has stayed here in this cabin.

He had a few episodes of a mental and emotional break downs, an anxiety attack, some withdrawals from the lack of cocaine usage he's hasn't been given, and nightmares of Yeosang's dead body on his hands along with Karma and Jungkook killing him in his sleep.

It was a horrible bundle of nights.

The lady Jimin is staying with came after hearing him try to muffle his cries against the pillow the first night, comforting the poor boy in his hysteria. She would bring him a cold towel and dap his sweaty forehead for long hours while he sleeps to ease his warm body, wrap him in a warm blanket, told him stories so he can focus on her and not on his anxiety, feed him soup, massages his back or feet and gave him lots of water to drink.

He was getting better after a while, he was not vomiting or hallucinating anymore by the fifth day. Through the whole process, the nice lady was there to take care of him through it all.

And it made him feel extremely better, mentally, to know someone was still looking out for him while being in his vulnerable state.

Now a week has passed and Jimin finally decided to leave the room with a blanket over his shoulders. The grey blanket is too long for his body so it slightly drags on the floor as he walks, holding onto the wall slightly for support.

At least he can walk properly now, before he wasn't able to even stand without feeling so dizzy.

Today was definitely an improvement to how shitty he felt before.

When he moves down the stairs to follow the familiar smell of green tea, he enters the small kitchen that's entirely wooden designed and sees the lady behind the stove.

Jimin felt like he was somewhere home, and it felt nice.

The lady cranes her head back when she hears Jimin's footsteps and smiles brightly when she sees him, "Feeling better to get out of bed?"

The male nods shyly and sits on the chair to the island, "Yes..... Thank you for taking care of me, you didn't have to do that."

"Oh nonsense," She scoffs, placing a tea cup and plate on the table in front of him with a piece of sweet bread, "My son use to have withdrawals and extreme measures of anxiety too, so I use to help him out a lot."

Jimin frowns slightly to this as she pours over the hot water in the mug with the sleeve of tea, "I'm sorry if this is too sensitive but.... What happened to your son?"

For a moment the woman's eyes moved to a unsettled daze, her face slightly dropping from the wide smile she has as she puts the tea pot down, "He was murdered, since he was in a gang."

Oh....

Jimin feels so stupid for asking it now.

He pouts deeply and bows his head in shame, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked-"

"No, it's okay, it makes his memory much more..... Alive to talk about him," She says with a quivering smile as she pours herself a cup of tea as well, "He probably would've been a bit older than you by now."

Jimin grew more curious about this boy and wanted the woman to have her opportunity to voice out her thoughts after years of probably being alone and not taking to anyone, so he sits up straight, "What was he like?"

Oh the smile on the woman's face says it all.

She practically glowed in this happiness to talk about her son.

"He was a little too..... Crazy," She chuckles nervously while sitting on the opposite side of the table, "He had his odd sense of humor but he loved me very much. When he was in his gang, I didn't agree with it at all but he stated he wanted to protect us better and keep us stable, financially. Well I didn't fight it off much longer because I didn't want to be angry with him and for him to distance himself from me.... However there's been many cases he would come home and I had to take care of him since he just took drugs after drugs for a long period of time. I began to grow worried that..... I might lose him to that soon."

Then.... It was almost as something flickered in her eyes.

Hope.

A gleam of hope.

"Then he met his lover," She sighs with a small smile, "The boy was a bit too young for him at that time, but boy was my son crazy about him. So much that.... He didn't come home with withdrawals anymore..... He came sober and.... Happy...... He was very happy."

Something in Jimin's heart tugged upon hearing this, feeling his whole chest warm up to the relieved look on the woman's face.

"I didn't want to meet him since he was just a kid for my son. Fifteen or sixteen I believe and my son being seventeen at that time, but when I did I realized.... Age indeed is just a number," She chuckles while taking a sip of her tea, "I expected a little rascal with a bad mouth and a cigarette engraved on his mouth at all times but when my son came with the most tiniest boy with that glowing respectful aura and unnecessarily big words by how he was so nervous..... I finally understood what my son was talking about. That boy was indeed very special."

Jimin couldn't fight back his smile as the woman continued on speaking about her son, feeling his soul grow warmer and warmer to the light heartiness she speaks about the lover and her son, especially about their relationship together. They would come here to escape that life often, and she could hear them giggling most of them from the bottom floor. Sometimes when things got a little too... Chaotic, she would just go for a walk to not have to endure..... That mess.

She very much loved their relationship, making her think of a time when she was like that with her wife..... Sadly her wife passed before her time as well, yet she still likes to keep her memory alive and go to the burial grounds to talk to her and talk about her day as if she was there.

So seeing her son just have this special connection with the boy, it just made her have hope for him.

When her son died, sadly she's never heard of the boy again. She suspects it to be because he was so into grieving to see her, and she understands that perfectly well.

Going back to the family of your parishes loved one just.... Makes it all too real that they're gone.

After what felt like hours of her talking about her son, expressing funny stories or more soft moments she saw with his lover, they decided it was best for Jimin to go back to the room and rest.

When he slides back to the bed he lets the lady tuck him in like a child. She caresses his fluffy hair fresh from a shower with a smile and walks out the door and closes it to give him some privacy as he rests. Jimin lets their conversation sink in, feeling a sense of pity for the woman after what she has been through

She really loved her son very much....

So upsetting how he had to go so soon. Sadly those are common cases in a gang life, for a loved one to go before their time.

He can only imagine how the boy's lover was after he was killed. A love like how his mother described they had must've been so hard to over come, too hard to move past that special bond.

Let alone to love someone else the same way again.

Jimin frowns heavily to the thought and turns to his side to face the wall, noticing the silly carvings on the wall of what seems to be like animals or plants.

A small smile forms Jimin's lips as he traces it, letting his eyes slowly start to fall from their drowsiness of the warm tea, remembering that he didn't even finish eating his bread.

The last thing feeling against his fingertips being the faint initials printed there before collapsing to sleep.

________

"So..... It's here?"

Lucas nods, making Taehyung slightly shuffle between his feet as he stares up at the cabin, being filled with slight nervousness to face Jimin once again. Karma let him take control for this one, knowing very well his technique in getting Jimin out won't exactly be too..... Wise.

Which involved a bazooka.

The last thing they need now is Jimin..... In pieces.

So after staring at the cabin a moment longer, Taehyung takes a deep breath and approaches the small cabin with his hands digging the pants of his black suit.

Maybe he dressed up too formal?

They are just talking after all.

Good, in that way he knows who's in charge if you look too formal.

Taehyung rolls his eyes to Karma's logic, unbuttoning the first two buttons of the first to breathe properly before approaching the door and knocking gently.

Knock harder! You're no pussy little bitch boy!

"Karma if you don't shut up!" Taehyung snarls back, making Lucas chuckle at him.

"He's being fussy?"

Taehyung grimaces as he hears footsteps form the other side, "When isn't he fussy."

Little one, I love you but I will switch right now-

The door opens, revealing a small lady with wide eyes looking between the two males, "Yes?"

Taehyung smiles sweetly at her, making Karma scowl in his head, "I'm sorry to disturb you but I'm looking for someone. His name is Park Jimin."

Let me take control and show you how it's properly done kid.

The lady furrows her eyebrows in confusion, "There's no Park Jimin here, sorry. If I do see him, I'll let you know."

Good thing Taehyung expected this, and he was prepared.

Taehyung pouts deeply, looking at Lucas, "What are we going to tell Seokjin?"

Lucas looks at him with a slight confused eyebrow but Taehyung continues to whine, "He was having a full mental breakdown b-because Jimin is gone," And then he turns to the lady, "I'm sorry, it's just the Jimin we are looking for has a little brother and.... He misses his older brother very much. He's so scared after they killed Yeosang and we have been looking for him, he believes they caught him!"

By now Taehyung is balling his eyes out, surpring the woman, even Lucas, even Karma, as he gestured to the outfit, "My twin told me that if I dressed up nice that maybe people will respect me! I don't even like wearing suits! They're so uncomfortable!" He sobs and wipes the tears from his eyes, "It's okay, we'll just have to look for Jimin somewhere else. I can't go back until we find him to not see the disappointment in Seokjin's tiny face."

And he grabs Lucas, sobbing on his shoulder, "I'm sorry for wasting your time, I'll go," and he turns around with the tall male being dragged behind him, sniffling under his breath.

"Wait."

You smart, sly, slithering fucker.....

Taehyung fights back a smirk and turns to the lady with his big puppy eyes. The woman sighs heavily to the sight, unable to resist his charm, "He went out for a walk a while ago. Come back tonight and maybe you'll see him."

A bright smile forms Taehyung's lips through his tears, bowing at the woman repeatedly, "Thank you so much. I'm Lucas by the way."

Lucas is the only person that was into Jimin's comfort zone. If he hears it's him, less likely that he will fight him off.

The lady nods slowly and then closes the door behind her.

Lucas looks at Taehyung with gawked lips, "You did that? Not Karma?"

"Since when is Karma sentimental?" Taehyung snickers as he wipes his tears and walks to the car, "Now lets get something to eat! I'm starving!"

The taller male only stares at him with a soft smile, taking out the car keys to feed the giddily baby in the car.

Who did his first mission properly all on his own.
