4- What are you doing here
Jocelyn rummaged through her closet, all the while trying to get a hold of her sister. With hopes, if she were to answer, she could talk her into changing where they have a drink and talk. Now that she knew her worst nightmare wanted to meet at the same bar and at the same time and place as her sister, she wanted no part in seeing him. The way this man had her thinking dirty thoughts the couple times they've been face to face, she wasn't sure if she would be able to control her hormonal urges and didn't want to be like Alex, who slept with clients.
As she continued looking for something to wear, she couldn't get him off her mind. She loved his gorgeous good looks and what she noticed hidden behind his pants, even imagining what it looked like and how she wouldn't mind wrapping her mouth around it. Then his cocky, sexy smirks and smiles came to her mind, and she couldn't help but swoon. Each time he smirked or smiled at her, her stomach would come alive, and it would start doing somersaults. She liked how he made her feel, but at the same time, she hated it and thought about how much of an egotistical jerk he was. It's like he knows how god damn good looking he is, and he uses his charm to swoon the ladies, she muttered as she removed a shirt off the hangar.
She put her phone on speaker and threw it on the bed to change clothes and talk simultaneously. "Come on, Leah, answer your dang phone, please..." she begged as she pulled up her skinny jeans. Even though they were going to a bar located right off the waterfront and knew how cool it gets at night, she still chose to wear the white shoulder-less top that showed off her stomach and belly button piercing. Then she reminded herself not to forget her jacket.
Along the way to meet her sister, her frustrations grew. Here her sister, Leah, wanted her to call back, and after the last hour of trying to reach her, all her phone did was ring. She pulled up to the bar, and as she was parking, she got the sudden urge to want to strangle her sister after seeing her sister's car parked. She walked inside, looked around, and stopped turning her head when she saw her sister sitting at a table, staring off into space.
"Leah, what the fuck? I've been trying to reach you for over an hour," she growled while slamming her purse on the table. "Where's your phone?" she asked while sitting.
"He broke it," she said quietly, still not looking at Jocelyn.
Her face softened. "What? How? Why?"
Leah shrugged her shoulders and grabbed her glass, placing the straw at her mouth and sucking the entire drink in one gulp.
"What the hell happened?"
"I came home from work, heard noises coming from the bedroom, and when I walked into the bedroom, I got quite the surprise."
"Leah, how many times have I told you to leave that cheating dirtbag?"
"I know... but this time it wasn't with a woman. It was his boss... I gasped, squealed, yelled, you name it. As I stood staring at them in shock, I called you. When they laid in the bed staring at me, not moving or saying a word, I threatened to take a picture and send it to his work. That's when he lunged at me, grabbed my phone, and threw it against the wall shattering it. So, I left as fast as I could and came here. I figured you wouldn't stand me up."
"Wow... that's all I can say is, wow."
"I know, right? I've been sitting here thinking this whole time, debating what to do, then I remembered your offer. Does it still stand?"
"Of course, it does. I'm not home much, anyway."
She smiled. "Thanks. So, tell me about you. Are you still hanging out with Miles?"
She shook her head. "No, I broke things off with him the other day, yesterday, to be exact," she said, looking behind her, wondering where their waitress was, then waved one over as one was walking by. "Can I get a vodka cranberry and get her whatever she wants."
"Thanks, Jocelyn," she said, finishing off all liquid left in her glass. "So, you get rid of the hunky Italian for who now?"
"Nobody... I just wasn't feeling it with him. Now I have some creep following me around."
"Creep?"
"Yeah, only... he's a fucking God. The man is so fucking hot, and he has had my mind constantly running since I met the asshole."
"When did you meet him?"
"Last night."
"And, he's following you around? Who is he?"
She shrugged her shoulders. "No idea," she said, then filled her in on how it all started and how he was in the courtroom today watching her. "I tried calling to see if you wanted to go somewhere else. He left a message with the secretary wanting to meet here at the same time as you. He's the last person I want to see right now. He's so infuriating, and it seems as if he enjoys getting under my skin."
Leah laughed. "What's so wrong with that? That's when all the fun sex comes in."
"Yeah, but he's a potential client, I think. I don't mess with clients, unlike one of the attorneys I work with who fucks most of his female clients."
Leah smiled. As the waitress set their drinks in front of them, she asked for another round before the waitress left. She picked up her glass, took a sip, then rested her elbows on the table, folded her hands together, and grinned while she rested her chin on top of them. "What does this God look like?"
Just by her asking what he looked like gave her a tingly feeling below. She tightened her legs together, then sighed. "Well, he's tall with dark hair, styles it sort of messy on top, which by the way, makes him look so much sexier. And, he has the most amazing brightest hazel colored eyes I've ever seen. He also seems to be blessed in the right area. If you know what I mean?" she added.
Leah's mouth dropped while looking over Jocelyn's shoulder. "Sounds and looks like the guy standing right behind you," she said wide-eyed, sitting up straight and lifting her chin for her to turn and look.
Jocelyn's eyes widened. "You've got to be kidding me. You're joking, right?"
"Turn around," she grinned widely.
As Jocelyn snapped her head around, Quinn stepped to the other side and sat on the empty chair beside her. "Where? I don't see him," she said, feeling relieved and turned back around. Seeing her sister smiling like she was in love had her furrowing her brows until she felt a strong presence beside her and slowly turned her head to the side. "You!" she snapped.
He grinned, winked, and extended his arm, resting it behind her on the top of her chair and leaned into her ear. "Didn't I mention I was your worst nightmare?"
"You're worse than that. You're... you're-"
"Hot as fuck!" Leah said excitedly, cutting Jocelyn off.
Jocelyn looked away from Quinn and over to her sister, scowling. "Thanks, Leah."
"Is this seat taken?" he asked.
"Yes. Now please find someone else to harass. I told you to make an appointment."
"I did," he winked, causing her stomach to do flip flops.
Leah reached across the table, resting her hand on top of his, and giggled. "Don't listen to her. Nobody is sitting there. You're more than welcome to sit with us."
At this point, she wanted to kill her sister and turned to him. "I'd like to enjoy my night. I'm done working and would like to enjoy having some drinks with my sister."
"Done working? Wait, did you just get done working the corner?"
Her brows furrowed, and she felt like slapping him. She snapped her head towards Leah and tilted her head to the side. "See what I mean?"
He chuckled and removed his hand from her chair, resting it on her back and rubbed it lightly. "I'm just messing with you." He turned his head and waved the waitress down. "I'd like a double scotch, straight up, please. Preferably Johnnie Walker, if you've got it."
"Black, red, or blue?" the waitress asked.
"Blue, please. And get these two beautiful ladies whatever they would like."
Leah ordered both their drinks since Jocelyn refused to order, then looked at Quinn. "Since my sister is a bitch, I'll say it for her. Thank you for the drinks," she smiled, earning a kick to the shin. "By the way, what's your name?"
"Her worst nightmare," he replied.
Jocelyn could feel his eyes on her and turned her head towards him. "It would be nice to know what your name is so I can thank you properly.
"Johnny... Johnny Bravo, that is," he said with a sparkle in his eye.
Jocelyn rolled her eyes, knowing he was being a smart ass. But found it funny and giggled. "Well, Johnny... I don't know why your name is such a big secret, but to be nice, I'll thank you for the drink, anyway. Thank you," she said, grabbing the drink from the table, then held it out to him.
He clinked his glass to hers and smiled. "You're welcome."
"So, Johnny... what do you do for a living?" Leah asked.
Jocelyn was curious herself and turned towards him. He looked at Jocelyn and smiled while bringing his glass up to his lips. "I'm what you would call a person who is authorized to act on another's behalf. Sometimes known as one's worst nightmare," he winked, taking a drink of his scotch. "I'm part owner of the company, as well."
"Interesting," Leah said, sipping on her drink. "Do you enjoy it?"
"I love it, and I love the people I get to meet."
"So, if you're the owner of said company, why do you want to talk to me? Are you a criminal? Have you been caught doing some shady dealings or something?"
He chuckled and waved his finger at her. "You said you were done working and that I had to make an appointment. Which I already did, and you'll be meeting with me on Monday," he happily informed, then leaned closer to her. "After your court hearing, of course."
"If you made an appointment. Then what was so special about tonight that you insisted on meeting with me? Were you expecting to call it a date? Because I'll have to fill you in on something. I don't date clients."
"That's good to know," he winked, liking what he heard, and smiled.
Leah watched and listened to the two, getting a kick out of them. He was trying to be all suave while she was trying to give him a hard time. She couldn't keep her eyes off him and wondered what Jocelyn's deal was with him and why she insisted on giving him a hard time. Feeling her sister would be a fool to pass him up, mostly if this was his way of trying to get to know her. "I'll be right back, and no fighting or arguing, you two."
"I don't fight, and I only argue when I have to," he admitted.
"I can't help; he makes me want to gouge his eyes out."
Leah purposely left to let the two talk. In his eyes and the way he looked at her, she could see that he was interested and curious to know more about her. Jocelyn may not have asked him to join them for drinks, but she knew her sister well and saw how her sister was into him, even if she's only known him for a day. The way she talked about him and explained his looks, she saw the light shine above her. By leaving them alone for a few minutes, she figured it would give them the time needed to get some questions answered, without another set of eyes watching and ears listening in on their conversation.
"So, Jocelyn. Are you involved with anyone?"
"Nope, I don't have time. Work is all I need. Why?"
His lips twitched, and he brought his drink up to his lips. "Just curious, is all."
"You?" she asked, then wished she hadn't asked that. Realizing she may have opened the door, causing him to think she may be interested in him.
"No, not at the moment."
She discreetly smiled, hoping he couldn't read her face, and lifted her glass to her lips. "Maybe if you weren't so damn cocky, you'd have a woman in your life."
He laughed. "Is that so? I'm far from cocky. I'm more of a straight shooter than anything." He grinned, leaned closer, and when she turned the opposite way, he reached for her chin and turned her face towards him. "If anyone is anything, it's you. You're feisty, and I like it. It makes my dick come alive, and it has me wanting me to use it on you, or, shall I say, it makes me want to fuck your pussy so hard that you'll be screaming my name. You'll be enjoying it so much that you'll be begging for more. Which is when it'll cause you to pass out from all the euphoria I've caused you to feel."
Her stomach did another flip as she looked into his gorgeous eyes. Then, as she stared at his beautiful face while taking in his masculine scent and listening to him talk dirty, it had her hormones kicking into high gear and her panties feeling wet. He was exactly what she was looking for. A hot guy, and one with a big dick, not that she knew if he had one. But the one thing she knew that was missing from her sex life was one who liked talking dirty, and the one she was looking for was staring her right in the face.
He released his hand from her chin and smiled. "Would you like another drink?"
"Yes, please," she murmured, barely getting the words out.
He ordered another round of drinks, closed out his tab, and laid a hundred-dollar bill on the center of the table. "I'll finish this drink, and then I'll leave you girls alone. That way, she can enjoy the rest of her night," he said, looking at Leah as she sat back in her seat. "That hundred-dollar bill should cover your drinks for the night, shouldn't it?"
"Wow, thank you, Johnny Bravo," Leah said, picking up the money. "This should be more than enough and enough to get us drunk to the point where we'll be needing a ride home by the end of the night."
"If you need a ride, call me. I'll be more than happy to pick you, girls, up and then bring you to wherever you need to be."
"That won't be necessary. We can call Uber," Jocelyn chimed in.
"I'm only letting you know the offer is there. Here. Hand me your phone," Quinn said, reaching his hand out to Jocelyn.
"Why?"
"I'll enter my phone number into your phone."
"Is this your way of giving me your phone number?"
He winked and smiled.
She reached in her purse, grabbed her phone, and handed it to him. He happily removed the phone from her hand and grinned as he entered his number into her phone. "Whose name will I be looking for if I should need to call you later?"
He smirked a devilish smirk. "You'll know once you see it."
"I'm sure it won't be necessary to call you; Uber can be here in like five minutes, anyway."
He leaned to her ear and spoke. Speaking in a tone that sent shivers up her spine and her tightening her legs together. "Now that you have my number, you can call me anytime... and I mean anytime."
She turned to face him, and as she looked at the man staring her in the eyes with a smile that had her melting, she tried speaking. Still, with her insides fluttering uncontrollably and her mind spinning in multiple directions, she ended up stuttering. "I-I don't kn-know if me ca-calling you would be a good thing. It would be very unprofessional of me if you're planning on hiring me."
He chuckled, knowing he had her worked up.
Quinn was ready to work her some more but figured he better just let her be and to let her enjoy the reason why she was there in the first place. He reached his hand up, cupped the side of her face, and gave her a sexy side smirk that had her creaming her panties. "Don't worry, Hun, you're already hired. And I'll be seeing you much more than this," he winked.
He looked at Leah and leaned forward. "Seriously. Call if you two need a ride. I'd rather give you two a ride home than have some crazy Uber guy who you don't know giving two drunk girls a ride home. Ah, uh, that's no good. And it's a bad choice in judgment. My number is in her phone."
He stood, looked at Leah, then walked behind Jocelyn, and softly ran his hands down either side of her face. He cupped her cheeks and lowered his mouth, kissing her forehead. "Have a good night."
Hope you all enjoyed the chapter!❤❤🤞🤞❤❤🤞🤞
