As a child, Maddie Rivera loved music like her older brother Hector Rivera. She was friends with Imelda. One day an 8-year-old Maddie was singing when she ran into someone.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. Are you hurt?" Asked the voice. It was a male. She looked up and a boy was wearing an all-white mariachi outfit.

"Oh, I'm ok. Thanks. Are you ok? Mister....?" Maddie asked wondering what his name was. He looked to be 9 years old. She was wearing a pink dress. The man helped her off of the ground.

"Oh, my name is Ernesto De la Cruz. I'm going to be a famous musician someday. Who are you?" Asked Ernesto.

"Oh, my name is Maddie Rivera. I hope that your dream goes well, Mr. De la Cuz. I want to sing for the world someday too." Said Maddie. Suddenly Hector approaches Maddie. He already knew Ernesto.

"Hi, Ernesto. Maddie, it's time to go home. Mom has made supper. Imelda is there." Said Hector. Hector is 10 years old. He's older than Maddie by 2 years.

"Ok. Bye Ernesto! I hope to see you later. Good luck with your dream. I'll bet your voice is amazing!" Said Maddie.

Imelda and Maddie are best friends since both of their families love music and want their kids to follow their dreams.

7 years later. Maddie is alone since her mother recently died and her father died as well. Hector is with Imelda since they are dating and he moved in with her. They still visit her and sing to her. Ernesto visits Maddie every day if he can and their friendship bloomed. Together, Maddie, Hector, and Ernesto sing for the world. Right now they are singing Poco Loco in front of an audience for a talent show.

All three do their grits. Ernesto starts to sing. "What color is the sky
¡Ay, mi amor! ¡Ay, mi amor!" Maddie joins in. "You tell me that it's red
¡Ay, mi amor! ¡Ay, mi amor!" Said Maddie. "Where should I put my shoes
¡Ay, mi amor! ¡Ay, mi amor!" Said Ernesto. "You say put them on your head ¡Ay, mi amor! ¡Ay, mi amor!" Said Maddie. "You make me Un Poco loco. Un poquititito loco. The way you keep me guessing. I'm nodding and I'm yessing. I'll count it as a blessing that I'm only, Un Poco Loco." Said Ernesto and Maddie. After a musical interlude with some very fun dancing, Hector joins in. "The loco that you make me. It is just un poco crazy." Said Hector. "The sense that you're not making." Said Maddie. "The liberties you're taking." Said Ernesto. "Leaves my Cabeza shaking. You are just, Un poco loco." Said All 3. They dance and play to the crowd until the last verse comes out. "Un poquititi-ti-ti-ti-ti-ti-ti-ti-ti-ti-ti-ti-to loco!" Said All 3. In the end, Maddie was in between Ernesto and Hector. After the results came, their group had won!

After the talent show, Hector had left Maddie alone with Ernesto, since he trusted him with his sister's life. Throughout all the years that she's known Ernesto, she's fallen in love with him. Little did she know, he felt the same way.

Ernesto took Maddie to the gazebo after the talent show had been completely cleaned up. He starts to sing to her. "Remember me though I have to say goodbye. Remember me, don't let it make you cry for even if I'm far away, I hold you in my heart. I sing a secret song to you each night we are apart. Remember me, though I have to travel far. Remember me, each time you hear a sad guitar." Said Ernesto. Maddie joins in. "Know that I'm with you the only way that I can be. Until you're in my arms again, remember me." Said Ernesto and Maddie.

Ernesto then says this to Maddie. "I love you, mi amour. I have since we met. Please don't let this ruin our friendship." Said Ernesto.

Maddie was shocked, to say the least. But she replied to him. "I love you too, Ernesto. I was worried for a second that you wouldn't feel the same way." Said Maddie. That's when Ernesto kissed Maddie on the lips. Maddie kisses back.

When they break away, Maddie hugs Ernesto and he hugs her back. After pulling away, Ernesto asks Maddie a question. "Maddie will you be my girlfriend? My novia?" Asked Ernesto. "Si, Ernesto! I love you with all of my heart!" Said Maddie.

7 years later. Hector approves of Ernesto dating his sister and he's married to Imelda and they have a daughter named Coco. Ernesto and Maddie are happy together. Ernesto is planning to propose to his girlfriend today.

Maddie hears a knock at her door. "Who is it?" Asked Maddie. "Ernesto! Open up mi amour." Said Ernesto. Maddie opens the door. "Oh, how good it is to see you, Ernesto! How are you? What are you doing here?" Asked Maddie. "I'm fine. I'm taking you out on a date tonight at 7. Be ready and wear something fancy." Said Ernesto.
After that, Ernesto and Maddie just talk until 5 when Ernesto has to leave to get ready. Maddie changes into a blue dress with flowers on it and does her hair in a french braid. She then waits for Ernesto to arrive.

Ernesto arrives at 7 and takes Maddie to a fancy restaurant and they talk and eat. After eating Ernesto takes Maddie to a hill near Santa Cecilia. They both then sit down on a bench and talk. Ernesto then gets the courage to propose. Ernesto then gets down on one knee and says this to his girlfriend. "Maddie you have been by my side ever since we met and I love you for that. I love your singing voice and just everything about you. So what I'm trying to say is, Maddie Debora Rivera will you marry me?" Asked Ernesto. Maddie puts her hands to her mouth and has tears running down her face. She says this to Ernesto. "Yes! Yes, I will!" Said Maddie.

1 year later Maddie has given birth to a baby boy named Lafayette De la Cruz. Ernesto doesn't know about him because Maddie never told her husband that she was pregnant because they were famous now and she didn't want him to be mad at her. Maddie knew that Ernesto had accidentally killed her brother because he didn't know that the poison was in Hector's glass. She was sad about that but Imelda, Coco, and Ernesto helped her through the grief.
