So in the last chapter Erma and the Twins snuck out of the Yureimoto Estate in hopes of finding Rin and Xander! Although they have searched most of town and have found few clues. Now they are taking a break on a bridge, what awaits them?

Erma and the Twins turned to look at the female voice that just spoke to them and found what appeared to be a teenage Yokai with claw like fingernails.

"Aren't you three just adorable! Kids like you should be careful, someone might just eat you up!" The girl said as she stepped towards the trio. "Hey Cus I think this girl might be trouble." Mitsu whispered to Erma as the older Yokai girl continued to approach them. Suddenly she crouched down and got right in Erma's face. "The names Mei!" Mei introduces herself as she still had that large grin on her face.
                Erma held up her picture of Aunt Rin and pointed at it in hopes of getting information out of Mei. Mei took the picture in her hands and looked it over before ripping it to shreds with her claws. "Hey! What's the big idea lady?! You think you can pick on someone smaller then you?!" Momo shouted as she glared at Mei. "It's not like that ugly picture would have helped you find her anyway." Mei said as she shrugged her shoulders calmly. Mei then got in both Mitsu and Mimi's faces with the same large grin on her face. "Besides aren't your kind suppose to bring luck?" Mei questioned in an evil tone as her grin only grew larger.
"Then again since when does the name Yureimoto ever bring luck?" Mei tainted as Erma and the Twins turned and walked away. "I'm not wrong, am I Toru?" Mei asked as a tall male Oni with a baseball bat blocked their path.

"Your not wrong Mei. These little snakes are nothing but trouble!" Toru said with a laugh as he rested his bat on his shoulder. "Then again I like snakes, they put up more of a fight." Toru said as an evil grin of his own spread across his face. "I don't know Honey I don't think you'll get much out of the half breed over there." Mei said with an evil chuckle as she pointed at Erma.
               "I don't know babe let's find out." Toru said as he tapped his bat against Erma's head once or twice before stopping. "Well would you look at that! The freak has a pretty sturdy noggin!" Toru said as he let out a hardy laugh before slamming his bat into his other hand. "Now let's see how many swings it takes until she goes splat." Toru said as Erma took a step back. "Cute toy you've got there big guy, is it supposed to scare us?" Mitsu asked in a mocking tone as the area around them suddenly got colder. "Don't keep all the fun for yourself Toru." An icy voice said as the Twins spotted a third girl on the room of a nearby building.
                  "Oh Kiko did you want first dibs on these runts?" Mei asked as she smiled at her friend. Kiko formed as path of ice that she slid down onto one of the bridge's hand rails. "You two can slice and splatter the Twins and send them back to their mom for all I care. I'm more interested in Emiko Yureimoto's brat." Kiko said as she shot a tiny amount of frost onto Erma's nose.

"Hey Mitsu as much as I wanna fight these losers, we promised dad to take care of Cus." Momo whispered to her sister as she nodded her head in understanding. "Yeah Plan B it is." Mitsu whispered back as she and Momo grabbed on of Erma's hands as Erma created a portal below them, allowing them to escape.
Erma and the Twins hopped out of the portal on one of the lower bridges before getting their bearings. "Nice work on the portal Cus! Now let's get back to business." Momo said as they were about to walk away. "So this is where you brats ran off to." The trio turned to see the three Yokai teens on the bridge above them. "Listen we'd love to hang around and rough you guys up, but we promised to look after our Cus." Mitsu said as she and Momo walked past Erma as Erma followed behind. "How typical of them to run away." Kiko said as she watched them leave. "What do you expect Kiko? After all it's just like their Dad." Toru said snidely as Mitsu and Momo stopped walking.
                                 "Oh I don't think you should have said the D-word Honey, I think you hurt they're feelings!" Mei tainted as she let out a laugh of her own. "Well the rumors are true, Dad runs away because gramps scared him off. That or he couldn't stand the little demons he created!" Toru taunted as Mitsu and Momo clenched they're fists and grit they're teeth at Toru's words. "Doesn't really matter though, I'd rather have an actual chicken for a Dad then that pathetic son of a bitch!" Toru said as he cackled hysterically. Suddenly a firework was shot into Toru's open mouth right before it blew him and the other two girls up. Momo was still holding the smoking casing as she glared up at the teens.
                                          "You better watch your mouth you stupid ape!" Momo growled as she turned back around. "In the future, if any of you losers value your lives, don't bad mouth our Dad!" Mitsu added before both of them flew off as Erma quickly tried to catch up with her cousins. "Alright there are a few of Aunt Rin's usual hiding places we can check before we go back to looking for clues." Mitsu said as they continued to fly along the bridges. Erma ended up bumping into a passing by Yokai, which caused her to fall to the ground. "Oh sorry about that! I wasn't paying attention to where I was going. Here let me help you up." The Yokai said as he reached out his hand towards Erma.
Suddenly the Yokai man was frozen solid in ice before Toru shattered him with his bat. "You brats are gonna pay!" Toru growled as his bat grew spikes as Kiko walked up behind him. "Good thing we swiped these from Mom's bag before she left earlier today." Mitsu said as she pulled out her slingshot while Momo pulled out a handful of pellets. Toru charged the Twins as they dodged by flying up into the air. Momo threw the pellets up to Mitsu who loaded them into the slingshot before firing at Toru. When the pellets made contact with the Oni, they exploded. Mitsu and Momo giggled at their little plan working before landing.
                              "Honestly Toru you need to stop rushing in like that, your embarrassing yourself." Kiko said as she launched a wave of sharp ice across the bridge at the Twins. Mitsu and Momo were about to dodge, but before they could a Chinese Dragon made entirely out of purple flames flew in front of them and melted the ice. "Oh what now?!" Kiko said in frustration as she watched the Chinese Dragon fly towards an approaching figure. "Sorry to interrupt your fun, but do me a favor and stay the hell away from my daughters!" Mitsu and Momo turned to see their dad approach with the dragon floating around him with a lighter in his hand.

                   "Dad!" Mitsu and Momo said happily as their dad gave them a warm smile. "Dad? So these little brats are half breeds as well? It don't matter, cause I'll just cave your skull in instead!" Toru shouted as he jumped into the air behind Xander as he brought his bat down on his head. Xander rolled to the side of the attack before Mitsu fires another round of exploding pellets at him. Toru was once again sent flying by the explosive ammo. "Girls you take the idiot with the bat, I've got frosty over here." Xander said as he took off the enchanted backpack Yori gave him and pulled out his fire axe.
                               "Is that axe supposed to scare me human?" Kiko asked as she summoned multiple ice spikes in the air around her. "No, but the dragon should." Xander said as he flicked on the lighter, summoning the purple flame dragon. The dragon breathes fire onto the head of the fire axe, encasing it in purple flames. Kiko shot the ice spikes at Xander, but they were devoured by the flame dragon before it rushed towards the Yuki Onna. Kiko jumped out of the way of the flame dragon, but was not expecting the axe blade to the gut. Kiko was sent sprawling backwards as she clutched her now burned abdomen.
Erma watched as her uncle and cousins fought Kiko and Toru respectively. Erma suddenly felt a presence behind her as she lunged to the side before a certain claw hand could maim her. Although Erma notice clumps of black hair in Mei's hand and on the bridge as she felt her hair and found that it was cut in one spot. Erma felt something in her snap as she started to get really, really angry.

"Oh would look at that, the freak finally decides to get angry!" Neo said in a taunting tone as Erma cocked her head to the side, which sent her flying through a tree.
Mitsu and Momo were still dancing around Toru's attacks as they landed back on the bridge. Before the Twins or Toru could make their next move, Erma pushed past her Cousins. "Hey Erma are you okay?" Momo asked as Erma gave them a deathly glare before continuing towards Toru. "Hey sis." Mitsu said as she tried to get her sister's attention. "Yeah?" Momo replied as she continued to watch her cousin march towards the Oni. "I'm really glad we made up with Cus earlier today." Mitsu said as Momo just nodded in agreement at her Sister's statement with a sense of relief.
"Well it's about time I got a piece of you!" Toru shouted as he tried to bring his bat down on Erma's head. The bat disappeared from the Oni's hand however and it was quickly slammed into the side of his face. Toru was sent flying into a pond below the bridge as Erma turned towards Xander and Kiko, who we're still fighting on the bridge above them. Erma slowly levitated into the air as she made her way towards her Uncle and the Yuki Onna. Erma has lost all of her patience for these people trying to hurt her family and she was going to fix it.
Xander used the flame dragon from his lighter to defend him from Kiko onslaught of ice attacks. "Your really starting to piss me off human!" Kiko roared as she summoned a large spiked ball of ice that she launched at the Fire Fighter. Xander sent his flame dragon towards the ball melting it to the size of a baseball, before he batted it right back at Kiko. The rest of the ice ball melted and turned into a ball of purple fire that Kiko jumped over. Before Xander could prepare to defend, Kiko fired an Ice shard into his leg. "Not so tough now, are you human?" Kiko taunted as she slowly walked towards him, ready to finish the job.
Xander grabbed the ice shard stuck in his leg before yanking it out with a sharp inhale of pained breath. "Dad!" Mitsu and Momo shrieked in terror at the site of their Dad about to be finished off by the Yuki Onna girl. "How sad that you'll be offed right in front of your daughters." Kiko taunted as she looked down at Xander. "Hey before you kill me tell me one thing. Do you and those other two idiots have such sad lives that killing children is the only fun thing you have?" Xander asked as Kiko formed an ice spear over her head. "You really don't know when to shut up do you?" Kiko asked as she prepares to finish Xander off.

Kiko suddenly felt multiple needlelike object being poked into her as she looked over her shoulder to find Erma. Kiko was then sent flying into the same pond as Toru just as he finally stood back up. Kiko froze the pond to cushion her landing, but ended up freezing Toru in a block of ice. "Oh no, no, no! I don't know how to reverse this!" Kiko said in panic as she tried to free her friend from his icy prison. Xander looked down at the Yuki Onna with a slight sympathetic on his face before turning toward his daughters. "You think I'm just gonna let you get away with this?" Xander turned to see that Mei had finally gotten herself out of that tree.
                               Erma began to use her powers to levitate nearby objects that she slammed into Mei. Mei was flat on the bridge as the winds began to pick up as she was barely holding onto the bridge. Xander walked towards Erma as she failed to notice him approaching. "Erma you need to calm down." Xander said as Erma looked over her shoulder with the same dangerous look in her eye. "I know your angry, but please calm down. They've learned their lesson." Xander said calmly as Erma's expression turned sad as her hair and eyes went back to normal before she rushed Xander.
Xander opened his arms as Erma flew into his chest and hugged him tightly. Mei stood back up shakily as she looked at Erma in fear. "Cus your an animal!" Momo said as she clung onto one of Xander's shoulders. "Yeah you've been holding out on us!" Mitsu added as she clung to Xander's other shoulder. Erma blushed lightly as she buried her face in her Uncle's chest in embarrassment. Xander then looked at Mei as she shrunk in fear from his gaze. "Now as far as your concerned, I think you and your friends have learned your lessons." Xander said as he put Erma down and began to approach Mei slowly.
"Dad stay away from her, she's dangerous!" Mitsu pleaded as Xander took his backpack off and unzipped it. Xander pulled out a First-Aid kit and pulled out some gauze and bandages. "W-What are you doing?!" Mei asked in a scared voice as she looked at Xander in fear. "Patching you up, what does it look like?" Xander asked as he began to wrap Mei's injuries before packing up his supplies. "There, now for your friends." Xander said with a smile as he turned around and faced Erma and his daughters. "Dad why are you helping them? They tried to kill us!" Mitsu said as she stomped her foot angrily on the ground in annoyance.
                         "Girls I know it may see wrong, but in life it's important to be the bigger person in these situations. Don't ever let yourselves stoop to another person's level." Xander said as he patted both his daughters on the tops of their heads. "Okay Dad." The Twins said in unison as they both gave they're father a grin. Xander made his way towards Kiko and the still froze Toru. "Need a hand?" Xander said as Kiko jumped in surprise at his sudden appearance. "S-Stay away! Don't come any closer!" Kiko said in fear as she backed up against the block of ice holding Toru. Xander crouched down and opened his First-Aid kit once again.
                         "Calm down would you Frosty? I'm just gonna treat your burn wound." Xander said as he placed some burn ointment on his hand before gently rubbing it on Kiko's abdomen. Kiko winced in pain, but let Xander continue and wrap her injury in gauze. "Now to get your friend out of that block of ice." Xander said as he flicked his lighter, summoning the Flame Dragon once again. The Flame Dragon coiled itself around the block of ice, melting it in the process before returning to the lighter. Toru was unconscious, but still alive after everything he's been through. Xander stood up after packing up his things and turned to walk away.
              "Wait! Why did you help us after everything we did?" Kiko asked as she stared at Xander in confusion. "I'm a Fire Fighter, helping people is apart of my job! Besides I have to set a good example for my daughters." Xander said as he smiled at Kiko before regrouping with the girls before walking off to continue the search for Rin. Mei sat down next to Kiko as the two of them watched Xander and the kids leave. Mei noticed that Kiko's face was lightly dusted pink as she looked at Xander. "Girl tell me you aren't crushing on the human right now." Mei said in disbelief at her friend's actions. "Hey for a human he's pretty cool!" Kiko fires back angrily as the two friends picked Toru up and headed for home.

Here's an extra long one for you guys! So not only did Xander step in to save his daughters and fight off the teens, he also earned himself an admirer! To bad for Kiko, Xander's heart belongs to Yori. Anyway will Xander and the girls be able to find Rin? Will they all get home safe? What else lies ahead for our favorite Fire Fighter?
