Chapter 17: Mounting Threat

He sat on the cliffside, the incline familiar yet so foreign, though his mind supplies him with memory of watching a sunset with Madara speaking in lax terms of things unimportant; it was a hallucination that brought him such grief. Casting long gazes down towards the peaceful -so very small- village from his vantage he was met with a nearly unsustainable urge to flee. Though he knew it impossible his clouded mind was conjuring images of the citizens of Konoha chasing with knives, kunai, and anger. Furious at his existence.

Recounting what Madara had told, his mind found it imperative to draw an analogy to what he had known. This was the date in which he had accidentally hurt a little boy while shopping, there had been such a public outcry that Hiruzen had been forced into action. Naruto could recall hiding behind the Hokage monument for safety, so fearful that it would be the day they finished him.

Nothing compared to watching one's sister burned, he reasoned with himself. None in that time were as crazed for food.

"What." He rose in shock staring at his abdomen before he understood that it was indeed Kyuubi who had spoken. Growled. Feral in sharp fury, though not intimidated by this the Uzumaki did dread what this conversation would bring. "MADARA!" Naruto shifted at the yell, screaming within his own mind, however, refrained from speaking to the beast for silence, because the man who had been named was walking towards him now, puzzled in thought.

As they met each others gazes the elder dawned the smallest of smiles, warming his aura considerably as they caught sight of each other. While he waved in greeting Naruto stuttered at such a reaction, feeling suddenly more heated then normal from the unexpected contentment on his fiance's face.

"Naru, I certainly did not anticipate seeing you here." They stood facing each other Madara seemingly glad for the sight of him made an embarrassed flip occur in his stomach. Though the man had a charm well understood within the Uchiha -and unfathomable to the Senju; who remained oblivious to most Uchiha demeanors.- Naruto had never expected to find it working on him. Attracting his attention unto the stature of Madara's figure, though clearly concealed by the modest apparel of the common Uchiha robe, it still stood proudly on the shoulder where his clothing strained, just enough to be enticing. From his knee downward his legs were undoubtedly well defined by the way his trousers clung to him.

Realizing himself with a muttered questioning of his name, Naruto felt all of his body flush and a sweat broke out underneath his elegant haori. "Ah! I was not doing that- I-" Noting again, that he was being given a raised eyebrow of confoundment he refrained from continuing his sentence, knowing now that there was no method in which Madara could have known his thoughts. In order to regain a form of dignity, he changed the subject with a clearing of his throat, and a grin baring his nerves. "Hm, ah, why are you straying over here Madara-sama?" Hoping that it would remain unsaid.

As luck would grant him the man seemed to have realized his retreat for a ghosted smirk crossed over his handsome features for mere moments before the flounder was dropped. "Hashirama asked for my counsel." To his own irritation, Naruto had all but forgotten that the Hokage's residence -at least within this time,- was set on top of the cliff, ridiculous as he had resided there for many days before being brought to Naori and Kou.

An unidentified emotion flickered across his mind, though as he knew it to be festered from the anger he swept it away, and offered a smile at the irate yet calm -strange, man before him. "Well, you can- shouldn't keep him waiting!" In an attempt to ease the furrow on his brow Naruto found himself giving a light kiss unto the alpha's cheek without noticing his own movements until he had settled back onto his feet -rather then his toes.

Breaking from the rules of poise he'd learned he scratched his neck, his hair now far straighter as it lengthened tickled his nape. Glancing up at the man without through bashful lashes he was startled to realize that the estimated Patriarch of the Uchiha clan was blushing in pale pink a smile as flustered as it was charming resting on his face.

Just as Naruto made to tease him for it Madara interrupted with a well-placed ease. "Actually Naru, why don't you accompany me, you should hear of official matters such as these, now as we are to be wed. Then perhaps you would care to join me at the training grounds. A lesson on the method of your fans might prove beneficial."

Bewildered at the sudden and generous offer, eager at the prospect of once again training, curious for the affairs his fiance and Hashirama-sama spoke of in privacy, he nodded his agreement readily. Thrilled at spending more time with his husband-to-be, especially the training that would follow, he interlinked their arms with more excitement then was perhaps proper.

Noting -much to his own chargin- the hard muscle well hidden underneath the off blue robe, he attempted to ease his own thoughts. "What are you doing! Kill him!" That was, of course, a challenge as the demon within felt it prevalent to call for the death of the man he was currently blushing over. In response to the agitation he was receiving he growled away the demand and clung tighter to the arm he was being escorted with. "YOU DISGUSTING OMEGA HUMAN ARE YOU SO DESPERATE TO MATE!?" Painfully his abdomen clenched, knowing this to be Kyuubi's doing Naruto wanted nothing more to call the bijuu off, however with present company, he wouldn't dare.

Hissing at the sharp sting of unabashed indigence frothing as it hadn't before, He gave sharp inhale at how clear it became, settling over him a fear of what resided inside, he had never felt the demon so angry.

Using one of Jiraiya's method's he detached himself from Madara's arm and used a single hand, sign he formed the tiger and pressed both fingers harshly into the center of his seal. "Gate of silence." He whispered attempting as best he could, hoping that it would work once more. It was hardly a permanent fix, only silencing the Nine-tails temporarily and holding back a small amount of its chakra.

Naturally, it was a rather weak fuinjutsu in comparison to the complexity of the Fourths. Never mind the fact that it rarely worked when he attempted it, as his chakra was so closely infused with the demons. In theory, it utilized the Gate of View to shut a pathway of the chakra network around the abdomen, which meant he could not use it while engaged in combat something he had complained rigorously about during the lesson.

"Madara! There you- Oh! Naru-kun! I am glad this lout finally brought you along!" Flashing his multitude of blue-hued eyes up at the figure of a very relaxed Hokage, Naruto gave his fellow Omega a large grin at the taunt in the beautiful man's voice. Despite his own internal disagreement, he was genuinely delighted to see such a friendly pained visage.

Of course with such a warm disposition so did come the cold, Tobirama emerging behind his brother wearing his normal well-regulated glare, a twitch of his lip towards Madara indicating a scowl he refrained from expressing openly. Instead of choosing to rest his scarlet eyes on Naruto again, remembering their last encounter he offered the Senju a hesitant smile in return. Slightly surprised at the respectful nod he received in return.

Tobirama came up to him as both their company conversed with each other, Naruto was curious if nothing else. "I never did get the chance to thank you for saving me." He said in lue of greeting, and in turn, the rigid man loosened from his tense posture.

"I believe I owe you an apology Naruto-kun, my words of quarrel shouldn't be directed at you merely for your engagement to the man I hold a despite with. For that I ask for your forgiveness." Though it was spoken bluntly, without all the normal holdings of emotional connection it was obvious to Naruto -one well adapted in the way of stoic friendships- that he was speaking from a place of sincerity.

"Apology accepted dattebayo!" A very minor grin settled on the angered expression at the strange phrase, lightening it.

"That's not presently possible you idiot!" At the deep outburst brought by the Uchiha of the gathered group, both alpha and omega cast their attention to an irate Madara and abashed Hashirama in an argument of something neither understood. Though Naruto knew Tobirama could fathom a guess. "My clan remains in mourning! A child just died Hashirama because your stubborn medic with 'advanced knowledge,' refused to treat him." There was a sharp glare being conjured from the tallest of the two.

"Then send an alternate patrol-"

"My entire clan is angered at the Senju at the moment!" That caused a flinch from the shorter of the two, and Naruto's eyes to sharpen at the accusation. He chooses to leave the implication for now, for whatever they were arguing about was more important then why Madara would not send out a patrol.

Inpatient and concerned he stood just between them to the side. "What is the problem?" He tried to remain as calm as possible even with the threatening atmosphere radiating from the Uchiha. Given his current state, Hashirama answered in his stead, sighing largely and slumping before becoming completely serious. Obviously agitated at his friend's blatant refusal.

"There have been sightings of the Hatake clan to the east from some of our regular patrols. I asked Madara to send an Uchiha unit to monitor the situation. However, seen as the Clan is rather irate at us at the moment no one is willing to cooperate it seems." Having simmered down from being left to steam Madara nodded his agreement to the assessment.

"Though capable the Senju are not suited to fight the Hatake clan as we are, regardless given the current state of trust at the present no one is willing to do the Senju clan any favours." Naruto blinked as the reasoning gave way. It wasn't a pleasant circumstance in the least. As it appeared the only one who could quell the tensions and convince the Uchiha to monitor the situation on the east was, in fact, Wakaba and Bou. Considering how tense Madara now looked, he seemed to have realized this as he did.

To convince mourning parents to let go of their begrudgement of the Senju who essentially killed their son, and in doing so have the rest of the clan take positive action would be no easy task. With the Hatake clan nearby, however, the situation was dire and it would need to be done, regardless of reluctance. Technically speaking, Naruto was aware that the patriarch could force action, but as he had come to know the man, the young omega knew that was not how the head of the clan had come into such respect. He was patient with his clan and took emotional turmoil into account if he could afford too. At the moment, the threat wasn't impending so action could be more gentle in nature, instead of forceful in making his clan take to monitoring while the resentment still stood.

Reluctantly considering what Naori had told him he spoke rather more hesitant then he would have preferred. "I will speak to them Madara-sama. I think this warrants a less intimidating approach." They both were well aware that to have the head of the clan asking for cooperation would lead to unwilling compliance rather then wholehearted agreement. Naruto knew that his presence would be a more calming atmosphere and not have the couple submit under concern of disappointing their patriarch.

"Are you certain Naru? Bou-san can be a very harsh man." Grinning at the intrigue present on Madara's features, not well hidden by the concern he displayed.

"I can handle it." There was a veritable confidence in his tone this time. Which seemed to have garnered an equal assurance within the present members gathered.

Hashirama and Tobirama both, the former grinning widely at the offer. An ease losing his stressed shoulders. "Excellent! Now thats settled! You simply must tell me about your impending wedding! What have you planned as of yet?"

That caused a nerve to twinge down his spine, Madara puffed up too. "Hashirama! This is what you called me here for?!" The man had the sense of mind to look at least a little shamed at the accuracy of the accusation. Despite the mood his fiance displayed at the shameful use of power, Naruto laughed heartily at the bickering that followed.

Not noticing the gaze that held onto him in appreciation as he watched the two run about.
