Past riding
So here is my riding backstory.
I've always loved animals, every little girls dream was to ride pony's. I was serious about it. When I turned 8 we went to a place called blink Bonnie. They gave me boots and a helmet to wear each lesson. I got to tack up and the first horse I ride was called Mr Toppy, sometimes I would also ride a pony called, 😐 ( guilt, forgot her name ). I did around 8 lessons, but I was very nervous I started getting scared to trot because he would always start cantering. Lessons got to expensive to continue so my parents decided to wait another year. We moved a few years later. I started riding at another riding stables. I ride a small Appaloosa pony called Toby. I went there for a month but I hadn't eaten learnt to trot every lesson was just on turning and walking, obviously I was still happy because I was still riding. I had one lesson at another place but it was CRAZY! We got given stubborn horses that didn't move ( though I could have gotten them moving properly know ) I hadn't really had any experience in getting horses moving as all the ones I had had were push buttons. There was a 6 yr old galloping on a pony over jumps, a older girl trotting around a well groomed horse, and the instructor was with another lady and a horse, eventually the instructor got on that horse and was hitting him with her crop and pulling his reins at the same time. She also got us and took us in tiny circles really fast which back then was really scary,( reigning ). We never went back there. Than we found out our local stables were doing group lessons ( we couldn't afford privates ). I've been going there for a yr and it's GREAT! I first ride a horse called George, and my sister rode a horse called Woody. They are great horses and I loved our instructor. Then we decided to do a pony club program called little gunnas. Because there was a girl riding George, I got given Jedda to try out and I rode her well, my sister got a grumpy little pony who was the first horse/pony I had ridden there ( before lessons we had done a day program ) called Skye. Jedda got sic of being worked and they didn't want to push her so they sold her. I got given Macey my favourite horse EVER! No horse will ever replace her. She was a pocket rocket and it took me quit a while to learn to stop her. It was also fun because she would jump over cavelleties and not just do a little lift over them, like most horses. Me and Macey had great times and I was gaining a bit of a bond I realised on our last pony club. Last week Skye passed away 😢😪 She was sic, they tried but she had to be put down. So Nina got given Macey to try as I needed more of a challenge. I loved Macey but I was happy to give her to my sister, I did want to do more jumping and ground work with her but I realised I really did need more of a challenge. She may not have had good confirmation and to most eyes she wasn't a stunning horse, and her mane was short for most of it and long near the tops around her ears, her ears were rather big to, but to me she was the most beautiful horse I had ever seen. I got given Nova. A chestnut pretty mare. Read the next chap to hear about my lesson on her. What also got me interested was that she was a good jumper 😏. And though shall never replace Macey we will still work towards a great adventure together.
