My lesson was canceled on Tue due to weather but I had little gunnas this weekend! And I also had my first fall. So we groomed and tacked I was riding Nova then we did some walking and trotting around. We got given free time for a while and we went off to canter. So Nova does this jump thing before canter so i was asking her to canter then my brain just paused for a few minutes and when I came back to the world I was on Novas neck, then again my brain pauses and I found myself whacking into the ground. I got winded and you see I've never been winded before so I was worried when I stopped breathing, the instructor came over and told me I was winded so I laid down so I could breathe. I walked Nova back got a drink and hopped back on. We went over a small jump a couple of times. Then we used half of the arena to canter. I trotted her but she was very antsy and playing up, so we decided to just ask for a smooth controlled trot. Then we got off, loosened girths and took of bridles, we gave them water and ate lunch. After lunch we went to the beach. Because Nova hasn't been to the beach in a while and she can be say "unpredictable" I rode Apache. He was pretty slow but had a fast trot. Than we had free time when we got back, I rode APS he as I wanted to see what he was like in the arena. Turns out he hasn't had much arena training and kept on trying to follow the horses. He was also hard to get moving and he didn't know how to handle the small jump, he eventually stepped over it at a walk. Then we took them back, untacked, sponged, rugged and helped out with some other horses. I had to leave a earlier than I usually do as I usually stay till 5:30 ish but I had a party. Today I woke up ( little gunnas was yesterday ) with a really sore neck and I can't really move it forward or backward without it hurting. I think it's whiplash. But mum is making me go to the doctor tomorrow and possibly have an x - ray, sounds unnecessary to me but it's my neck we're talking bout so don't want to risk anything. I just hope I can have my lesson on Tue especially as it's an hour.
