This is an official promotional photo of Rey from The Rise Of Skywalker.
And this is Ben's.

I love both of these! The color and lighting are beautiful.
I wrote this chapter most importantly because I wanted to share these pictures with all of you. But secondly to look for any theories and predictions I can find in these pictures.
I know that a lot of what I am going to say is just going to be speculation, but there are some hints to what might happen in the movie in these.

I will start with Ben.
What I think is interesting about Ben's promotional photo is that the background is the same as Rey's. Which looks like the same location as this scene to me:

I think pretty much everyone knew that he was there because this is his tie silencer:
So, unless someone stole it. (Which I would not deem wise) he was definitely on this planet with Rey. And not just a Force connection, he was actually there.

And this picture confirms it.

(As if we need any confirmation.)
One thing that I think is interesting about this picture is the location. Why would they choose this location if he didn't have an important role in this location and didn't spend much time there.
There were other locations that they could have used for the background.
Like this one:

(Which would have been cool)
But because they chose a desert background. Maybe I am overthinking this and it's just a coincidence. But if they chose to use that location for the background of both Rey and Ben's promotional photos, then I think that whatever happens there must be pretty important.
Rather Rey needs help and Ben comes for her, they are training together, or they are actually fighting each other, it is going to be an important scene. And personally I believe that there will be A LOT more to it than what we have seen so far. Obviously there's a lot more to everything in the trailer, but I feel that something very important might happen here.
Regardless of anything, we know that we will get at least one scene of Rey and Ben alone together. And most likely there will be several other scenes that lead up to and fallow this one.

Rey's picture is a lot like what you might expect to see. Only, personally I think that this is one of the best promotional photos of Rey that I've ever seen.
These would be second.

One thing I really love about it is the lighting. I love the desert background and the sunset in the sky.
We get a really good look at her outfit in this picture.

I noticed that she doesn't have the lightsaber in this picture. But we know that she does have a lightsaber on the desert planet.

Which to me looks exactly like the Skywalker lightsaber.
So we know that she does have the lightsaber, or at least a lightsaber on Jakku (or whatever desert planet it is. It could still be Tatooine or a new location. Though I personally believe that it might be Jakku.)
But in the promotional photo she doesn't have the lightsaber. This could just be because they didn't want her to have it in this picture. Or perhaps we just can't see it because it's covered by her outfit.
But it could mean that she reforges the Skywalker lightsaber on the desert planet.
Here is one theory that I have.
What if Ben is training Rey here:

And what if he helps her put the lightsaber back together again. Personally I think it would be cool if they worked together to fix it, since they both broke it.

And I think it would be cool if they put it back together like they did in this picture.
