The World Before

Synopsis:

A stranger shows up in Oceanside causing tensions to rise and Michonne makes a hard choice with the help of Judith. Several survivors follow a lead Aaron was able to get from Gamma on the whereabouts of Alpha's walker herd but find themselves trapped.

Wow, this was a lot for me because I watched episodes 7 and 8 on the same night and oh my god, a lot happened! 

So, Siddiq is dead and Rosita had to kill walker Siddiq :(

It really seemed like they had started building a life for themselves and then Dante had to ruin it all... But speaking of Dante... Gabriel took care of that! I agree with Gabriel's choice to kill Dante and I think that's really a step towards him becoming an even bigger part of Rosita and Coco's family, especially after the fight Rosita and Gabriel had. 

To be honest, watching Gabriel kill Dante without remorse, made me like his relationship with Rosita more than I did before because I think it showed that he cared about their family.

My favorite scene in all of The Walking Dead's history has now happened in THIS episode.

My favorite character has finally gotten the screentime he deserved. I almost died because of how much I loved the scene with Daryl and Dog. It was so freaking adorable and I honestly think it was a really humanizing moment for Daryl too.

I'm excited to see where Michonne's new expedition with Virgil is going to take her and the group as a whole. I know a little bit about him from the comics but I'm really excited to see how his story changes the show. 

It was interesting to see his reaction to Michonne telling him what they were going to do with him. His line saying, "It can't be that easy." felt really powerful to me.

And the last thing I'm going to talk about, Alpha's walker herd.

So, I'm wondering if Gamma set a trap for them or if Alpha tricked Gamma into unknowingly setting a trap for them? I feel like the meetings between Gamma and Aaron were genuine so I feel like it was Alpha setting them all up.

I love the way they made the scene so everyone goes before Daryl and you get to watch him go into the cave by himself. It's super suspenseful because everything gets quiet and I'm just wondering, "What the heck happened to everyone else?!" Then we find out that they're all trapped in the cave and I'm seriously questioning how they are going to get out of there.

They'll find a way, that's for sure. And hey, at least they found Alpha's herd!

But now Daryl is separated from Dog :( and I still want more scenes of Dog...
