synopsis:

After the ride that was last week's episode we now dive into the Whisperers and what they have been up to. While we also see flashbacks of how Alpha and Beta met. Alpha anoints one of the Whisperers as Gamma for saving her life.

I have to say I was a little bit disappointed with this episode. While I think the Whisperers are certainely interesting bad guys, I don't think they're interesting enough to fill an entire episode with. They just don't...do much. Other than sit around and attempt to gather more walkers for their herd. I did, however, like the flashbacks. I found it interesting to watch these mentally unstable and very disturbing characters meet and attempt to find some sort of way to live in this new world.

Overall I thought the episode was a little bit boring. I want to see more of the communities. And while I think the Whisperers are awesome as villains, they're not awesome enough to carry an entire episode.

So, the Whisperers. I was really interested in Beta's backstory but I personally think it was a bit of a let down... I love Beta and his character and I feel like he deserved so much more.

It also felt like they were creating a romance between Alpha and Beta and that just didn't seem right. Like, neither of them seem like characters who would really have a love interest and the way they set up their dynamic just seemed weird to me.

But I did appreciate getting some more insight on how the Whisperers live. The whole Gamma storyline seemed a bit forced for one episode but I do still think it's interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing more of that.

It also seems like there is a bit of confusion between what was really happening in the head of Gamma's sister and the whole situation with the baby. However, I do like that they tied that into a deeper part of the story.

Overall, the episode was good, bad, and confusing. But I like the direction they are taking it with showing more of the villain's side of things this season and I think there are a lot of new things we'll see from everybody.

Also, I just want to see more of Dog.
