What we become

Synopsis:

Michonne arrives at the naval base with Virgil but finds no weapons, soon realizing it's a trap; Virgil locks her up, and she finds there's other captives on the island. Virgil then drugs her, and she experiences hallucinogenic visions of Andrea and Siddiq, and what her life would had been had she sided with Negan and the Saviors. As she comes to, she stabs Virgil, escapes, and frees the others. She chases Virgil to the armory where she finds Rick Grimes' boots as well as a phone with Rick's name and a drawing of her and Judith etched into it, suggesting that Rick may still be alive. Allowing Virgil to live, she takes leave of the others and contacts Judith via walkie-talkie to tell of her intent to find Rick; she later comes across stragglers who need help catching up to a large group of organized troops marching ahead of them.

Now before we start I have to admit something. I have never been the biggest fan of Michonne and I was a little sceptical but my I was blown away with the depth and emotion of this episode. 

This episode did make me feel for Michonne for the first time and support her actions. The love that she has for her children and for Rick is immense and I can't wait to see where her story takes her and whether we will eventually see Rick and Michonne reunited in the films. She does work well beside Rick and I feel like this move from the show will do her character a lot of good. I also can't wait to see the dynamics of Alexandria change now that all of our original Atlanta group are not around anymore. Daryl and Carol are around every now and again but not constantly, so it will be nice to see other characters take on these bigger roles. Maybe Rosita, as she is such a strong female Character and it would be great to see her leading. However, Father Gabrielle has been doing such a great job that he would be perfect, especially now that he has shown that he can get the bad stuff done too.  

Now lets talk about those hallucinations. I absolutely loved them. I think looking at the perspective of Michonne living a different life worked so well. I think it was presented so well and I really enjoyed seeing her character as a saviour and kinda wish that she had been one, as the bad guy suited her so much better. In my opinion anyway, what did you all think?
